Do people like M2K who make more than $15k-$20k or so a year report that on their taxes? If not will the IRS kick down their door and take their controllers/gamecube? And I'm certain he makes at least $15k a year (winning/nearly winning 2 singles events and 2 doubles events at most tournies).

M2k stated in his AMA that he's only made around 60k throughout his entire career so I wouldn't go so far as so assume he makes 15-20k a year.

I think it's very possible. Take an average-sized local. 1st in Melee and Brawl singles ($300 each?). 1st in Melee and Brawl doubles ($120 each). Project M? Another $100. That's at least $1000 right there. Add a big National like Apex or what have you and he can make twice that.
