SYPG | Salty Playground - European Smash Broadcasting

Streaming content and especially Twitch.tv had a huge impact on the worldwide eSports community during the last few years. As for Smash in North America there are multiple major broadcasting organisations within their community. Europe however is lagging far behind when it comes to professional streaming.

This is where Salty Playground comes into play. Our main goal is to improve the overall quality of broadcasting Smash events throughout whole Europe. Originating from Germany we want to provide a centralised source of coverage for the european Smash scene and give it the professionalism it needs and deserves.

We would like to provide our service to anyone who is organising events. If you want your tournament or smashfest streamed or covered by us the send us a mail and we’ll try to be there.

What is going to change with SYPG?

We want to be the single point of contact for streams and events in Europe, similar to VGBC in the US.
We're not just single persons but an organized group of people with a mission.

Hi, I am interested in this proposal, I am one of the organizers of a new event in Spain, the HST and we want this event to be as professional as possible in its second edition, the HST 2. very interested

admittedly, the last time I watched a euro tournament stream was the P:M one with mango v. armada. it... wasn't very good, to say the least. entire audio was 5-10 seconds behind the video, so you'd see something happen and then patiently wait for people to actually react. here's hoping you can all do better than that, because european smash absolutely deserves it.

Even though it comes at short notice the plane tickets aren't that expensive, like 35€ without luggage with Ryanair from Bremen to Girona. Unfortunately february 1st we are streaming a major german event called smash im pott. Keep in touch, we try to be there for the third installation.

It is a shame. I dislike watching most european streams as well. But this soon will change for the better.

Tero - the major TOs in the UK have came together to corodinate our scene like never before with the aim to improve tournament quality and quantity. We have national tournaments sorted every month from january until august (we have never had such a schedule before). I am hosting the uk season finale in birmingham august 8th-10th. Streaming would be more than appreciated . Flights into london/birmingham should be pleasant.

Hello, Salty Playground

I received your email and I responded but have not received a response from you, I guess it can be due to a bad connection between emails or maybe because you are very busy. I hope that is the case. However, for our part we have the skins of the stream made.

Just missing add the logo of arcadia fighters, smash boards logo should help us promote the tournament stream and of course the playground salty logo finish if working together.
