Support Our Troops Today: The Fire Emblem Units Support Thread

Although Fire Emblem lords tend to be able to handle hundreds of enemies later in their game, you cannot forget who are the ones they depend on and rely on in their earlier days: their troops.

Feel free to speculate about every non-lord and non-villains characters of the entire FE series. I would like to bring to your attention that not only lords made it to Sakurai's 2006 Poll, but units where also present. Surprisingly, they even outnumbered them.

The FE units that appeared in the Poll are the following:

Oguma

Mia

Naburu

Soren

Sheeda

Jeigan

Maji/Saji

Now this may not mean anything in the end, but hey, a lot of the confirmed newcomers and ATs come from the poll list.

Also, you may say that lords come over units, but hey:

So if you one are of the people who support FE units for Brawl, don't give up hope so easily! When you come to characters (or anything for that matter), you just cannot predict Sakurai.

Thats not surprising at all, actually - non-Lords outnumber Lords by a huge margin, after all, and two of the Lords, as veterans, were ineligible for that "poll." Its only to be expected that minor characters would get mentioned in such (see: Link's uncle).

Also, you may say that lords come over units, but hey:

She is, if anything, proof that Lords come over non-Lords. An internationally very popular and anticipated Lord, relegated to an AT. If all she rated was that, non-Lords will be lucky to get even that much.

Wow, I can't believe how quickly this thread died? What ever happened to those people who wanted to see FE unit characters other then main lords or villains? I made this for them.

^Simply put, people realized after countless disscussions (and Lyn's AT status) that non-Lord characters are not as important or popular as Lord characters (duh). Even the disputes over which Lords are likely to get in have simmered down. The generally accepted lineup for FE characters is

Ike, Marth, Micaiah. There are a few other FE Lords that get mentioned every now and then, but this is what most people expect to happen. Sure, nobody can predict Sakurai, but these really are the most memorable FE characters (Micaiah only because she's new), and putting in someone would displease a lot of fans and deny a more worthy and representative FE character a spot.
