With Dragoon confirmed as an item, they need to put Hydra in as well!

Why? Because it is an extremely powerful weapon. If you used Hydra in City Trial free run and ramed into the other vehicles, you know what I mean.

So yeah, if Dragoon is there, Hydra should be there as well.

I support Hydra in Brawl, I loved Kirby Air Ride.

One thing though, how would it work?

That's the most ******** thing I've heard in a while.

Just because one thing is in, something similar should be in as well? Something so similar that it doesn't even add anything new to the game? You might as well put all the Air Rides into the game.

And what about Pokémon? We know a few appear in Pokéballs, so obviously every single one of them must appear.

And oh wait, because Mario is in the game, we should have every single character from the entire series, good and bad, important and unimportant, in the game.

Let's take it one step further, just because one video game character is in the game, every single character of every single video game in the history of the planet should be in.

Seriously, I would say your logic is very flawed... but I'm afraid I can't even call it logic.

Hydra should have been in instead of Dragoon. It looks cooler and was way more fun to use.

Well, i agree with you for the most part, but have you played Kirby Air Ride? Dragoon and Hydra were the only two legendary machines in which you had to collect 3 different pieces in order to create them. Its like only putting in Mario and not Luigi.....dragoon and hydra just go hand in hand.

Which one was the hydra again?

That's the Hydra Air Ride machine.

In Kirby Air Ride, it had a slow charge up, but when at full power, it's so fast that even the Formula Star is no match for it.

If it appears in Brawl, there will be 3 pieces of it. Grab them all and you'll be riding on one monstrous machine. Seeing as the Hydra is very fast, it's almost certain that you'll end up falling off the stage. However, if it hits anyone, an instant KO is likely to happen.

Dragoon is QUITE different from hydra. Personally i've always liked dragoon better, it's more fun. Hydra would be interesting in brawl though. It'd be suicidal though.

Btw, isn't there already a thread on this?

Kirby Air Ride was actually kind of lackluster, except for City Trial, which was probably the greatest thing ever. Me and my neighbors would always have Dragoon vs. Hydra battles, it would be cool if we could do it in smash.

Yeah I've played it, and it might make sense in that game. Just change some stats around and they are different enough for a racing game.

But what's the point of having 2 items that do the exact same thing... in a fighting game?

I can see Dragoon or Hydra being an item in Brawl, but I can't see both of em being in.
Why? Cause it doesn't add anything to the game.

Actually, I would say the same for Luigi, he doesn't bring anything new to the table.
But the major difference between Luigi and Hydra, is that Luigi has appeared in almost every Mario game. Perhaps he's "just a sidekick", but he's really well known, and lately he's even gotten a personal game or two.

That's what gives Luigi enough character to put him in Brawl, his popularity.

Can you say the same thing about Hydra? As far as I know, it's only appeared in one Kirby game. That makes it a very minor item.

And yes, you could say the same thing about Dragoon. Why choose Dragoon over Hydra? Well, I don't know about that, but it's Sakurai's choice... and he did a good job working it out like a very unique item, it brings something new to the table. Although it does kinda remind me of Assist Trophies.

But anyway, my point is just that having 'clone items' is just taking it a bit too far.
At least clone characters add something to the game, because they have popularity and a fanbase, and people would be overjoyed to see their favorite character appearing in the game. I just feel that clone items can never have such an impact, and therefore having various items with the same effect would only lower the brilliance of the game in my eyes.

But hey, who knows what crazy things have been put into the game? Perhaps Hydra has a chance, who am I to deny that possibility? Let's just see what happens.

Yeah, I dont really see the hydra being in the game either, but you can never rule out the possibilities, lol. I personally like the dragoon over hydra in the game however because it was just a more fun experience in my opinion.
