Hi! I'm new to this site but have been wanting to join since the Smash Bros 4 days. Im pretty anxious about ever joining anything online, but I finally got the courage to do so for this^^
With that said, sorry if this post isn't the neatest, it's my first one and I got a lot of learning to do.
I decided to join because I have been working on a concept for my own Smash game for years now. Of course, not anything playable, but more so just for fun. I'm thinking of making it my senior project for the school I go to, and because of this i wanted to consult as many fans as I could to make it as amazing as I could.
I've gone as far as to creating full movesets for two of my most wanted characters: Twili Midna and Shantae. Not just special moves and taunts, but aerial attacks, dodges, balancing, shielding, and sleeping animations, etc. I'm even working on a story mode, thinking of a unique way the shop could be run, as well as many other things I feel like would be cool in Smash Bros. Maybe sometime I could post those on here, but that's not the main focus of this post.
Mostly, I've been stuck with making a realistic choice of newcomers and DLC.
Seeing as how Smash games tend to have 20-30ish newcomers on average (including DLC) I wanted to go above and beyond and aim for 40-45 newcomers. Again, just for fun, but something not too incredibly crazy. As for DLC characters, I thought 10 was a good number.
Another thing I want to mention is one of the gimmicks with this fangame would be that some Assist Trophies are finally given their chance to be playable fighters in the game. This would be involved in the story mode too, besides just being unlockable normally.
As of now, these are all my choices for new characters. Some I'm a bit iffy on, and some I have my heart set on. The ones highlighted in blue I will not be removing because they're my most wanted characters
And for DLC, I chose, as of now-
Characters I would like to add to the roster, but am unsure of (because of complicated reasons, obscurity, or just because the series their from would be too over represented) are
It would mean a lot if any of you could give feedback, however you want. Just please be polite and don't get mad at me if a character you want in Smash Bros isn't on here. Like I said, these have been my main ideas I've been juggling with for a while now. And I'd love to hear what characters you'd rather never see in a Smash game that are listed above, or which ones you don't see on here that you think Smash Bros could benefit from having.
I have Assist Trophy and stage ideas as well, but that is for another day.
