What does this boss do? (Sorry if there wasn't enough.)
Meteor Throw: Solaris throws serval meteors. (12% of damage. Much knockback as Mario's fireball.)
Energy Lasers: Solaris fires a couple of lasers. (23% of damage. Much knockback as Samus's charge shot or whatever you call it.)
Portal Punch: Solaris creates a portal and punches through it. (34% of damage. Much knockback as Kirby's Foward Smash.)
Crystal Barrage: Solaris summons a giant rain of crystals. (45% of damage. Much knockback as Incineroar's Darkest Latiert or whatever you call that.)
Eternal Transcend: Solaris does random things to the screen like flipping it upside-down and other ones. (0% of damage. No knockback.)
Light Beams: Solaris summons beams of light everywhere. (55% of damage. Much knockback as Bayonetta's F-Smash.)

Setting of Boss Fight
The fabric of space-time being torn apart.

Boss Intro
The player's character is in a dimension that's being destroyed when suddenly a flash of light appears revealing the god of time, Solaris who lets out a deep bellow. Start of boss fight.

Phase 2
Solaris who is missing all of it's armour and body lets our a cry before sinking to the bottom, then a pillar of light appears revealing Solaris who's in it's second form thus starting phase 2.

Boss Defeat
Solaris now weakened with light erupting from his body as it lets out one last scream before exploding engulfing the entire screen with bright light as it fades to black. End of boss fight.

Who fights Solaris in Classic Mode?

Where is Solaris found in the Dark Realm?
Solaris is found in a sub-area called "Great Beyond" which has extra dimensional Spirits along with the god of time itself found at the end.
(Great Beyond is a dimension that's being torn and ripped apart by Solaris itself.)

Darn it. Sorry, I had something planned for this round to go out with a bang, but, uh, college happened. It's a shame, but I still like to think Super Dimentio was a strong finisher. Good luck everyone being graded for the final round!

You could probably still submit it. Seeing how it's the final round, I doubt we're in a rush to get all the entries in.

You can still submit it as a contest entry. That last round is technically over sure, but grades for this round and the previous two will take some time anyway. We can add an entry from you into the Anything Goes grades.

I’m not really thinking about contests and didn’t read the rules. But here are some bosses I’d like.

Andross, but unlike the assist trophy use the 3d andross design. A lot like fighting master hand and crazy hand all at once except there’s a third head boss and it does different attacks.

Headlock from ARMs. Make it unique by having him decide which arms character he’s attached to be a random cycle of Min Min, Springtron, Max Brass, and Helix getting a different attack based on which one comes up.

Six punching and grabbing arms that will cycle between the different types of arms from the game of devastating fury that players will need to dodge so they can get inside and attack this boss.

Giga Donkey Kong

Think Giga Bowser but Donkey Kong. Warped eviler looking redesign, elemental attacks, quicker stronger attacks. Some new attacks, like chucking giant barrels or making donkey kong enemies drop from the sky and fall on fighters with his down b.

Which adds the event boss (multiplayer mode recommended): Giga Trio.

Players must face Giga Bowser, Giga Donkey Kong, and Giga Mac (works much like Smash 4) at once.

Boss: Viruses

Game of Origin: Dr. Mario (1990)

What does the boss do?
The Viruses are three separate bosses with one health gauge (each virus getting their own color section of the health bar). Each Virus has their own separate attacks:

Fever
Fever Breath: Fever breathes fire straight downwards to the player (5% each hit; small knockback)
Fever Bite: Fever comes down to bite the player, and poisons them should it succeed (14% damage; small knockback with a fire effect)
Fever Pitch: Fever slightly raises the team’s attack and defense for a bit (no damage)

Chill
Cold Sneeze: Chill sneezes out three ice cubes three times, which is likely to freeze the player (8% damage each; small knockback)
Cold Shower: Chill makes it rain down eight icicles that have a chance to freeze the player (11% damage each; small knockback)
Hail Storm: Chill summons a rain of hail from above, which thankfully won’t freeze the player (5% damage each hail; small knockback)

Weird (yes, that’s the official name, but I’m just gonna call it the Yellow Virus)
Headache Bolt: The Yellow Virus shoots thunder down from its tile straight downwards (13% damage; medium knockback)
Ting Tang Walla Walla Bing Bang*: The Yellow Virus dons a witch doctor costume and shoots a beam that generates a random negative status effect, from poison to shrinking to flower, etc.
Wheel Virus: Chill pulls out a steering wheel that it stole out of nowhere and proceeds to make the player slippery. This offers the Viruses an advantage, as the player can slip right into attacks (no damage or knockback; the player is slightly slippery) In a 2-player team battle against the boss, the Wheel Virus’s effects can be passed on to another player by bumping into them.

*this is a reference to this commercial for the original Dr. Mario.

Doctor Buster
The Viruses all unleash a stampede of lesser Viruses from either the left or right of the screen. Any of the Viruses can unleash this attack, and the effect will be different depending on who does:

By Fever: Some Fever Viruses in the stampede will jump up in flames (12% damage each, medium knockback), so dodge and then recover to fully avoid it.

By Chill: Some Chill Viruses will suddenly freeze once the stampede moves to the other side of the screen, and then thaw out and run at fast speeds (15% damage, medium knockback)

By Weird: Some Weird Viruses will turn into Drowsy Viruses, and some Chill Viruses will turn into Dizzy Viruses. The Drowsy Viruses, being slower, will sometimes either put you to sleep or slow you down (11% damage, medium knockback). The Dizzy Viruses, moving back and forth, will sometimes briefly stun you (9% damage, small knockback but it tosses you straight up). In this state, any transformed Viruses can still be defeated (theirs mirrors that of the original Dr. Mario on NES).

Strategy: At least two Viruses will send out their attacks at once, but some will come later than others. The best way to go about is to go for either of the ones attacking after dodging their attacks to reduce their numbers more safely.


Setting/Intro: The setting is a typical boss arena themed after Dr. Mario, with the game itself playing in the background. The Viruses pop down onto their displays, ready to fight.

Defeat: Each Virus, when defeated, goes out like they do in Dr. Mario, but in a grander form.

Boss: Yellow Devil

Game of Origin: Mega Man (1987)

What does the boss do?
The Yellow Devil has three kinds of attack cycles, and only uses two; one consisting of his iconic attacks, and another with attacks from other games that switch with each encounter.

Default Cycle
Laser Beam (from Mega Man): Yellow Devil three to five laser beams (7% each; small knockback)

Side to Side (from Mega Man): Yellow Devil changes his body into balls and moves from one side of the arena to the other (6% each; small knockback)

Meteor Shower (original): Yellow Devil splits into balls and goes up, and then crashes down all over the place at a decent speed (8% each; small knockback)


Classic Cycle
Sewer Wave (from Mega Man 8): Yellow Devil goes down into a drain and creates a faux tidal wave using his body, travelling from one side of the arena to the other (22%; medium knockback)

Petit Devil (from Mega Man 9): Yellow Devil splits his body into six balls (with the Devil himself being at the center), and spins the five balls around him (9% each; small knockback); he will also shrink the balls to fire his lasers (7% each; small knockback), but he does this much more slowly. This gives you the opportunity to attack while the balls are out of the way, by way of direct attack or reflecting the lasers.

Speedy Devil (from Mega Man 11): Yellow Devil activates his Speed Gear and four bodies jump into the air. They fall down on either side of the arena and dash to the other (13% each; medium knockback). The Devil’s eye is in one of the bodies, and hitting it at least once will cause the bodies one by one to for, back into one, giving to a small period to attack the eye further.


Power Cycle
Shove Shield (from Mega Man 2: The Power Fighters): Yellow Devil forms his hands into a shield—negating any attacks, physical or projectile-based—and pushes the player back (16%; medium knockback)

Fisticuff Flurry (from Mega Man: The Power Battle): Yellow Devil appears to use Side to Side, but forms of circle of fists that fly out one by one in a clockwise turn (7% each; small knockback)

Block Toss (from Mega Man 2: The Power Fighters): Yellow Devil throws two blocks at a time that fly around the arena turning counter-clockwise (11% each; small knockback); the blocks disappear when attacked.

Laser Orb (from Mega Man 2: The Power Fighters): Yellow Devil turns into simply an orb, floats to the center of the arena, and shoots a laser that goes from one side to the other depending on which direction he’s facing (17%; medium knockback)


Strategy: The Yellow Devil’s patterns are mostly simple. He never attacks to quickly or too slowly, so use every opportunity you can to attack his eye. On the occasion when you do enough damage, you briefly reveal his eye as a full-on weak point before his body reassembles itself.


Setting/Intro: Near the entrance to Wily Castle (and no, not the outskirts of it like in the actual stage). Yellow Devil’s body falls from the sky, and he opens his eye.

Defeat: Exactly as he is as a stage boss.
