Murasame Castle was actually one of the reasons I started supporting Takamaru so hard. Not that I have a boner for Japaneezy things, I'm just certain it'd look BEAUTIFUL on the Wii U. Then you got your invisible Tanukies sneaking around, giving you items if you hit them, and possibly even changing to that nightmarish dimension when lightning strikes, to give it even more charm and ...identity?

I haven't really though of what stages I want to do, but Starphoenix obviously has some great ideas running around. I do like his Robot Museum stage for one. A Punch-Out!! stage would also be great to see simply because of the novelty of characters fighting in a boxing ring as well and I'd like to see a Xenoblade stage as well (just to see how gorgeous it will be).

I'd prefer a Yarn Yoshi level considering I have a seething hatred that Epic Yarn became a Kirby game when everyone knows deep down that it truly isn't (regardless if you enjoyed the game or not). The former does not seem like it is nearly as much of a joke however and doesn't blaspheme the Yoshi name.
Already based upon initial screenshots for Yoshi Yarn some of the screenshots show more of the "cardboard cut out" style that harkens back to Yoshi Story. I think the game is going to blend elements of Yoshi Story and Epic Yarn, no real surprise there. That's how I can see both an Epic Yarn and Yoshi Yarn co-existing.

Epic Yarn - Stringy
Yoshi Yarn - Cardboard-y

Perhaps Sakurai should take some design notes from Nintendo Land. Pretty sure he'll be stealing the icon.

I can see Sand Ocean, and Sauria actually becoming stages. Where I find it a lot harder to believe Tingle or Medusa will be playable. I really want to see an ALttP stage come up. Something where the area switches between the two world during battle.

Something going between this:

and this:
Would be amazing. Especially with the 'Dark Overworld Theme' we already had in Brawl. HD backgrouds of ALTTP Hyrule would also be badass.

Also, if Impa where to be in ALTTP 2 on 3DS, would she finally gain support here?

For some reason, I'd imagine Murasame Castle being quite the eye catcher when properly done right. Like, something reminiscent of the scenery porn found in Okami.

I think they'll design it graphically similar to Spear Pillar in Brawl. But yeah, it could look really awesome in HD.

Sunset Shores is probably my favorite idea as of yet for a stage though.

Skyloft is also a stage we can look forward to see.

Saturn Valley would also be all kinds of awesome.

If Starfy WERE to get in, the stage would probably be either Pufftop or Planet Bunnera. Probably any location will look great, though.

Short Shorts, how would you feel if in the background of the Sauria stage, you could see space fights in the sky? I feel like Krystal carries on her shoulder (perhaps wrapped up in a little bandana hanging from her staff like some hobo) a different flavor of SPACE ADVENTURE from the rest of the space animals, and having a space fight in the background would help tie it all up.

HRMMM LET'S SEE. If Sauria took place in Thorntail hollow, it'd neat if that ROCK MAN placed both his hands out to become part of the stage, and if both players stood on top of them for a short moment, it'd trigger him taking you to a new part of the stage. From there, maybe the space fights would either BECOME VISIBLE or MORE VISIBLE THAN THEY WERE BEFORE. Yeah. I think that would be a good way to embody the kind of... more SPACE EXPLORATION aspect I think Krystal brings with her, rather than SPACE FIGHTS.

Oh well, If your going to go by a stage name for Dillon's Rolling Western, go with Cinchville. Cinchville is the name of the first village you had to defend in Dillon's Rolling Western.
Alright.

A western themed stage would be fun. Could even be a catch-all for downloadable eShop titles. Though I think Pushmo will probably win out in that regard.

A western themed stage in the form of Cinchville and a eastern stage in the form of Murasame Castle, a bit of a contrasting theme going there. Suddenly the idea the idea of a "east vs. west" rivalry between Takamaru and Dillon sounds interesting.

Pirates and Ninjas
Cowboys and Samurai

We need a Chinese themed stage.
Has Nintendo even created a game that had Chinese design?

King K.Rool vs Impa

Also, I think Dark Pit could easily become playable now out of a sudden.

I imagine a Murasame Castle stage would have an atmosphere kind of like this.

And yes, I am aware that is the Daigo Temple from Onimusha ripped from Tatsunoko vs. Capcom.

Yeah, Sakurai needs to corrupt those requests for Goku as requests for this guy. :troll:

All I know is that the Monkey Dude is named Goku. And he'd be the on;y Goku I want in the game.

If I had a clue what those games are I'd maybe understand.
It comes from a text-based adventure game released for the Famicom Disk System developed and published by Nintendo called Yūyūki, which is based on the story Journey To The West, and part of the Mukashibanashi series of titles along with Shin Onigashima, Time Twist: Rekishi no Katasumi de..., and Famicom Bunko: Hajimari no Mori.

I can already hear the [laughs] coming out of his pie hole.
"This character has been strangely requested worldwide for quite some time. I guess the legend of the Monkey King is that famous. The original Yūyūki title for Famicon was only a text-based adventure game, so Goku's techniques are based off of the original Chinese legend of Sun Wukong. As such, this little guy is quite comparable to a deity, wouldn't you say?"

And then for added measure, make one of his alternate colorings be the orange and blue Dragon Ball's Goku wears. :troll:

Am considering throwing out Black Shadow for Dillon though. And maybe Dark Pit for a new series character. Sheik you can imagine her back in, or not. I just cannot force myself putting up a picture of SS Zelda and OoT Sheik coupled, and I do want SS Zelda in. Let's say I'd only want Sheik in if she'd be able to fit with SS Zelda well.

Otherwise, consider Dillon and Impa as spiritual succesors to Sonic and Sheik.

Aside from the Journey to the West games, there's also the Chai Kingdom from Super Mario Land. I find it particularly strange that Nintendo has yet to have much of any Chinese influence in their stuff with the arguable exception being Pokemon. Though to be quite frank, it's very rare to see much any distinct cultural influences than the ones we see already. Kid Icarus covers Greek (though a very loose interpretation), Zelda has taken inspirations from several different cultures, and Pokemon is all over the place in the designs of the Pokemon and occasionally the setting. Other than that, we're lucky to see anything else.

With the addition of a second Falcon character, and two retros, and Mach Rider in general not being that distinctive, not only he in general seems unworthy, but doesn't fit relative to what else you've added to me personally. Also Dark Pit doesn't warrant his own spot, the concept of Kid Icarus Uprising getting two newcomers is an iffy subject, but if it were to happen, Dark Pit certainly wouldn't be the third, particularly considering I doubt he'd get his own spot ever. What you'd do with the two empty spots that are left I'm not sure, though putting Sonic back in might be a safe bet, perhaps the other third party Snake. Also I'm not sure about Anthony for Metroid, Ridley seems to be the sole desired and, perhaps, the only deserving place.

Of course, this is probably what you want, rather than what you think is to be expected.

I'd say that if we do get Sheik back (which I see no reason why not), they'll redesign her to a Skyward-Sword like costume to fit her in along with Zelda.

I still consider that a big spit in the face to Impa as a character and would be quite upset if we get a SS Sheik looking like Impa, but no Impa.

Oh, kinda like how they made X a costume for Zero in Marvel vs. Capcom 3?
Uh no. There would be no alternate characters in this case.

Sheik would simply get a redesign to fit her along with Skyward Sword Zelda. It'd be more like what we've seen from Melee to Brawl than anything.

So basically Sheik in SSB4 should be Impa but renamed "Sheik" just to get people into thinking that Sheik wasn't cut?

So, I guess if Sakurai kept Ness's model but renamed him "Ninten", did Sakurai really cut Ness? I mean, they look very similar already.

Or maybe even keep Marth's model but renamed him "Lucina", did Sakurai really cut Marth? Marth and Lucina are pretty much gender swaps of each other.

Wow, you're thick.
SSBF was talking about a redesign inspired by Skyward Sword's Impa, not "use Impa but name her Sheik so no one knows the difference".
