Sunrise, Sunset - Isaac for Smash Ultimate #GoldenSunday

I know nothing of Golden Sun or Issac's importance to Nintendo's history, but feel free to educate me on why he'd make a great addition to the Smash roster! And count me in as a supporter! Between him, Geno, and Banjo-Kazooie, I feel their inclusions need to happen now. After the likes of Ridley, King K. Rool, & Simon Belmont being revealed, these three/four I feel are the next best characters to make it into the game and would garner the most hype after three already staggering reveals!

Btw something came to my mind: We do seems to have a boss rush, Metroid just got Dark Samus and Ridley, DK got King K Rool, we have the Rathalos from Monster Hunter on an empty stage whit only one character at the time. Simon also came whit Richter has if we were trying to do an adventure mode. Also Chrom, Robin and Lucina, the trio, is reunited in this Smash, and since Robin final Smash can't be Chrom anymore, we might have Grima for Robin final Smash, and if Grima has a model, he will be a boss for the boss/adventure mode. Could it be, if the leak is true, that Soren really is in the game to fill a quota as Ike best friend/ compagnion???

I'm just some guy really hoping for the leak to be true and I'm trying to find a reason to why Soren could really be in the game...

I was gone for three days and 10 pages appeared.

As a Supporter Update; With K. Rool konfirmed, Isaac is now the unequivocal number one. *gets out trumpet*

I think that when they made the Sm4sh roster, they didn't really pay attention to what the community really wanted.

It explains many decisions: The very VERY late inclusion of Mewtwo who was clearly the most wanted character, Ridley still not playable, Geno not playable, Isaac gone from the game, etc...

They just did safe bets by including characters who were popular among everyone, not specifically Smash fans, i think that's why the favorites of the Smash community were basically ignored. Remember how much Mewtwo was asked, that was insane, he was theundisputed number one in every damn poll and he was still nowhere to be found in the base game. So yeah, the less popular characters (Ridley, K Rool, Isaac, Geno) even though they were supported by many smash fans just had no chance.

Now, they pay attention to what the Smash's fans really want, we know that for a fact. There is no way that they don't know how popular Isaac is. So yeah, i'm pretty confident that he's going to make it this time !

By the way, even though i'd prefer three unique trailers, the idea of a trailer involving Skull Kid, Geno and Isaac is still awesome.

if the first post is real then it would make sense soren is close friends with ike and it would be easy to put in just do something about the sword

Not usually one to entertain leaks but if Sakurai really wanted to add Soren (why not, classic character from a beloved instalment and about as relevant as Dark Samus) they'd probably give him the Wind Edge or Storm Sword from Radiant Dawn in place of Levin. Rather than electrical properties, it would have a windbox. Even if Soren can't use it in PoR/RD, it still fits his theme. Don't see why not.

Just to keep this post at least vaguely relevant I would love to see Isaac. I only played the first game a long time ago, but I enjoyed it a lot and having Ness, Isaac and Shulk in the same game would just be unreal. Yes please.

Anyway, to be fair, a lot of the Echo Fighters don't make a lot of sense. Dark Samus really shouldn't be fighting like Samus but it mostly works because a lot of people don't know who or what Dark Samus really is.

In Fire Emblem: Awakening when Lucina is disguised as Marth fighting Chrom, Chrom specifically asked "Who taught you to fight like that?" and she responded with "My Father." This is made weirder in Smash Wii U when Viridi say Chrom would just be an Ike clone.

Chrom, an Ike clone taught his daughter how to fight but she ended up being a Marth clone and when the Ike clone joined Smash he ended being a clone of Roy who was initially a clone of Marth. So, uh...yeah. Echo Fighters don't really have accuracy going for them.

Idk how to tell if his account is fake or not.

I know some peeps here were curious as to how I was going to re-rate Isaac's chances after the direct. So I'ma just link to the Isaac section of my vid to sum up my thoughts. Those thoughts are pretty dang positive too.

I see a lot of people mentioning Shovel Knight getting an AT but probably doing worse than Isaac on the ballot. The thing is, I don't know if he necessarily did worse. Shovel Knight had great timing in terms of when he got big and when the ballot came out, so you had a lot of gaming sites putting Shovel Knight on lists of who would be cool for Smash. (Coincidentally, I'm convinced Bayonetta did so well on the polls for much the same reason). If the ballot was done now, I imagine Shovel Knight (and Bayonetta) would do a lot worse than they did. Sadly, Isaac hasn't really been talked about much by anyone outside the Smash and GS fan community in awhile. I know we all voted for him but he probably didn't get a lot of the general population votes. I'm not trying to be a downer, but he didn't even get a Mii costume last time (which were clearly influenced by the ballot). So, I'm keeping my hopes to maybe his assist trophy returning for the time being.

About a month ago, someone on NeoGAF posted this(now deleted) leak
I'd usually disregard this but he mentioned Chrom being a Roy echo which is kind of left field as a lot of things(Including Smash Wii U) Implied he would be an Ike clone. So "predicting" would have had to have been pretty hard.
He also came back after the Direct and updated his list to fill in the blanks
Right off the bat, I assume people will discard this because he mentioned Galacta Knight being a Meta Knight Echo Fighter, but I wouldn't be so quick to think that. Lucina and Dark Pit were literally just costumes made into their own characters at the last minute. If you pay attention, this is visibly apparent in both Lucina and Dark Pit as their differences are miniscule. In fact, you can notice that Lucina's idle animation is completely unchanged. On Marth, he puts his hand on his chest while Lucina's just kind of hovers there. It's not really all that farfetched to think Sakurai made Galacta Knight into an Echo Fighter at the very last second. I would just assume that he would have very small differences.

I'm not putting much stock in that leak. One, it says no Zelda newcomer but Lolz18 leaked that Skull Kid was likely and he has been correct with a lot of Smash leaks so far. Two, Galacta Knight. I know you mention this, but if he had really been updated from a alt, than Meta Knight's fighter page wouldn't still have that screenshot with the Galacta Knight alt up. The alt also has only a slightly edited model. Enough to work as an alt, but not enought to work as a echo (since the shoulders, mask, and weapon would still be wrong).

I see a lot of people mentioning Shovel Knight getting an AT but probably doing worse than Isaac on the ballot. The thing is, I don't know if he necessarily did worse. Shovel Knight had great timing in terms of when he got big and when the ballot came out, so you had a lot of gaming sites putting Shovel Knight on lists of who would be cool for Smash. (Coincidentally, I'm convinced Bayonetta did so well on the polls for much the same reason). If the ballot was done now, I imagine Shovel Knight (and Bayonetta) would do a lot worse than they did. Sadly, Isaac hasn't really been talked about much by anyone outside the Smash and GS fan community in awhile. I know we all voted for him but he probably didn't get a lot of the general population votes. I'm not trying to be a downer, but he didn't even get a Mii costume last time (which were clearly influenced by the ballot). So, I'm keeping my hopes to maybe his assist trophy returning for the time being.

Keep in mind, though, that the Smash Ballot started in early 2015, and ended in late 2015 - as far as I know, Shovel Knight didn't get a Japanese localization until mid-2016. I feel like that would've made his support on the ballot pretty non-existent over there, whereas Isaac still seems to be towards the top of the results both there and over here, giving him a more global kind of support. I think that would likely pushes Isaac's votes far higher than Shovel Knight's.

It's just such a stretch. That is what ruins the leak for me. Out of all the echos for Robin it's Soren?

As of now, the hope we have is:
1) People who have been ranked high on Smash Ballots got in (Geno and Isaac are like next if it goes by this)
2) This "leak" with the Roy Echo Fighter being the backbone. Galacta Knight having an Alt and Soren being the blemishes.
3) The Dark Dawn Website being updated
4) No AT (Once read that the main cut was due to the 3ds not being able to handle move, however, Idk how believable that is)

Could 5) be the fact that we didn’t see either of the two Golden Sun music tracks in the “other” music section during the direct? I know we only saw the names of a few tracks out of 90 something and it’s certainly not “evidence”, but it’s something to consider.

Well then, that could split the OP and Piggyback post up into two paths.

B) OP predicted the real "leak" and the new poster is a fake who is piggybacking

Which could give the OG leak more credit.



With Octopath killing it on the switch, Nintendo knows that JRPGs will do well. Idk, i just want it to happen so bad.

Between him, Geno, and Banjo-Kazooie, I feel their inclusions need to happen now. After the likes of Ridley, King K. Rool, & Simon Belmont being revealed, these three/four I feel are the next best characters to make it into the game and would garner the most hype after three already staggering reveals!

Chrom, an Ike clone taught his daughter how to fight but she ended up being a Marth clone and when the Ike clone joined Smash he ended being a clone of Roy who was initially a clone of Marth. So, uh...yeah. Echo Fighters don't really have accuracy going for them.

Chrom is a Roy Echo. Check the website. That's why this "leak" is being considered to begin with. He got Ike being a Roy Echo correct. As a Roy Echo, Ike is a stronger, slower Lucina... but he also has Ike's Aether. That's the only thing he pulls from Ike. Otherwise he's a Roy Echo. Its just easier to point out Aether than anything else.

Chrom's Final Smash is closer to that of Marth/Lucina as well, its his version of Aether from Awakening.

Chrom actually does a spinning sword attack when using it against Lucina in Awakening, which may be why he got Ike's Aether recovery.

I'm not putting much stock in that leak. One, it says no Zelda newcomer but Lolz18 leaked that Skull Kid was likely and he has been correct with a lot of Smash leaks so far. Two, Galacta Knight. I just pictured it, and realized it could end up being a huge troll for Lycanroc fans. Think about it, Fire could be somebody like Mario or Roy, but it could also be Charizard. Water would most certainly be Squirtle or Greninja, and the first choice for Thunder would probably be Pikachu (who else could it be? ZSS? Robin?).

Imagine getting all Pokémon representing the elements, and at the end Flint just comes in and BAM Isaac.

That would be a huge troll indeed.

How bout a double reveal instead? Both my most wanted shown in one trailer would kill me.

Because Loz has leaked stuff a lot. He's really riding high right now. He knew about "Everyone is Here", he knew about specific character moves and that Ganondorf would be OOT and Zelda would be LBW (its actually LTTP, but E3 said it was LBW).

Shortly after the E3 Direct he said there'd be an August Direct where Sakurai would show off the menu, and that there'd be some sort of "Heroes vs. Villains" theming. All of these things were correct.


However, in NONE of his information did he once know about any newcomers. I've read numerous posts by him, and he'd been commenting that he felt like the Heroes vs. Villains theming would imply K. Rool, but he didn't know for sure. In fact, it seems like the Heroes vs. Villains theme was ONLY for K. Rool's trailer.


He even posted a PM from Vergeben publicly where Vergeben said he heard from a source that there'd be no DK newcomers, but Vergeben was still vetting it. Loz himself said he didn't think it was legit at all because he really thought K. Rool was in based on what he knew.


But he didn't know for certain, in any instance, that K. Rool was ACTUALLY in. I'll see if I can dig up all the information he posted.


He flat out said right there that its "heavily implied" Skull Kid is playable. Heavily implied blatantly means he doesn't know. He has a real source, but that source has never given him newcomers, only smaller details. Those smaller details confirm he has a legit source, but again, he's never received direct confirmation of a newcomer.

I think, personally, that he's jumping the gun on saying Skull Kid because he speculated correctly on King K. Rool. Many people are thinking Skull Kid right now based on what we saw in the Direct, and that doesn't convince me he knows Skull Kid is playable.

AT bosses you say?
Tabuu, Master Core, Master Hand and Crazy Hand is out. The true villain of Smash is Waluigi.

I have been theorizing that AT's that are more mobile may in fact be saved for a different purpose.


One thing that we (the K. Rool group) noticed a while back is that the Klaptraps on Kongo Falls had totally brand new models which matched their old models perfectly. Now we have confirmation they're also appearing as Assist Trophies.


I do think that some of these AT's may serve a separate purpose. In Klap Trap's case, they both updated the model on Kongo Falls and used that same model for a full Assist Trophy (finally giving DK an Assist Trophy).

That concept isn't entirely foreign. I mean, in Brawl, a co-op Event had you fight Wolf & Andross, except Andross was always in the background.

**** ... The final trailer might just give us Skull Kid, Isaac, Shadow and ... Ashley and Waluigi. (Sakurai is the ultimate troll, Ashley was just "there", no mention, and Waluigi has been his punching bag since Brawl.)
