I don't think I am, I just don't like some attitudes. I understand that he's not saying the they're terrible, I just think that people should make less unlikely comparisons. That's exactly why I answered only that.

My lol usa was just a provocation because I remember very well what people were saying to Armada before Genesis. Come on I didn't mean it seriously, don't make me sound like a bad troll ;)

lololol Euclid  :lick:
From what I recall, most players, specifically most of the good players expected him to do well, and his performance really helped the usa step up its game.

what i personally didn't expect was how inexperienced our fox, marth, and sheik players to be versus peach, and how impatient most of our melee players to be.

you're right, it's absolutely astonishing how badly our players did against the third best player in the world

Your sarcasm is unnecessary.
***** plz

it's not about our players having negative qualities, and that's why they lost, but rather that armada is one of the best in the world.

:( you don't need to be (indirectly) bashing shiz, m2k, and whoever else... they're still great players.

If they're offended by someone whom they probably will never meet ONLINE, they deserve to be bashed, and should reevaluate their lives.

I'm sure that's not the case, and they don't need you, of all people defending them.

haha, one day after xmas, the japanese do their smash the manly way

Also I don't think I could have a proper serious set with Machdash lol, man he taunt spams like a pro

Also as smart as tani's marth was, man he needs to learn to meteor cancel

Grand Finals was great. Mach dash plays so reckless and unorthodox lol; it's cool to see a cultural difference in playstyles.

marth can't really meteor cancel falcon's dair cuz you have to hit up to input your up+B, I guess

so yeah this tournament was really fun but kind of gay bracket-wise LOL i got 7th and lost to mach dash in winners and losers. it's kinda cool, cuz he doesn't really sandbag against me haha. he barely even taunts and stuff. we always have really fun sets. i think i'm going to go falco if i have to play him again, he's like... way too scary against fox

i seriously almost beat him in losers T_T won the first game and flubbed an edgeguard when i could've won the 2nd game

i tied for 5th in the platform stages tourney, i lost to tani lol (single elimination) he ***** me super hard

oh really? Didn't really realise that was a problem for marth lol

sucks to lose to the same guy though, as long as it's the winner i guess

how long are you in japan btw toph? Would be kinda cool if there was someone there who could speak english if i do go next year, and I guess you've met the guy i grew up playing smash with already lol.

What did you do to Hugo btw? He went over there having not improved in ages and came back with a vague ability of being able to replicate a semi decent marth lol.

Lol @ losing because of taunt-spamming/an attempted Falcon punch.

Mach Dash is the least serious player in tournament since Isai.

Good read. It's refreshing to hear that Japan still has a high level of play from somebody who regularly attends SoCal tournaments.

how did the last one go? did it happen at all?
Ah, sorry dude, atm I have no time to update, but I remember that Kou's funny Falcon won. Not sure if it's Souten who sucks against Falcon or Kou who wins with his funny tricks. Aand yea Machdash sandbagged somewhere in the bracket but I forgot against who, sorry. There was also a total unknown but kickass Marth called Aoi or something in the top 5.

I promise i'll update with both after the next one which should be in a couple of days. :)

Also, to Josh:
"I suppose they are driven by pride alone, which is a big factor I guess, but in the community back home, players seem to really strive to do their best when money is on the line."

Cool, we do the same in Italy. Mach Dash is not the only one I saw doing random things for the lulz, though, so I guess they just have fun. This being probably the reason behind the rule that "any other stage is actually legal if both players agree" for example.

" Mach Dash really likes to sandbag it seemed, because the rules state that you can play on any stage if both players agree to it, I saw him playing on the strangest stages, like Big Blue, the Jungle Japes with the four platforms and the bottom island, and stuff like that."

Lmao, there are Tournament matches on fourside, hyrule and whatnot of him on youtube :°D.

Also, I believe that TANI is the best player if he doesn't get ***** by MD himself. This, Captain Jack and Masashi being not active.

Yo thanks for that.

Has anybody found videos of Hoshikabi using DK recently? Looks like he completely switched over to Sheik..

Ahh, good to the Japanese playing again. Mach Dash really solid with the Falcon. I'm not even going to ask about the stages.

Don't know if it's the same guy, but there's a Kou registered for Genesis.

yeah, it's kou from japan. he's been slipping lately in the japanese rankings so good luck to him.his sheik's good, but his falco is really weird and maybe not technical enough to keep up with tight shield pressure. it kinda reminds me of faab's falco, but much weirder. faab can handle pressure so who knows.
somebody mentioned kei going, but I highly doubt it.
