Welcome to the Sumabato Ranking Battles

Alright, some of these videos were already posted in the japanese videos topic, but since this is a series of tournaments, and 2 of them were already done, I thought it was a good idea to make a single topic and order the vids.

http://smashbrothers.org

If the video is named in Japanese, just search for the Kanjis I put near the player's name to find him.
Please note that in general there are vids only of the top 5.

ok theres no way they havent secretly been playing all this time. maybe not as the huge organized community it once was, but i have a hard time believing these guys just dropped the game and picked it up again. i dont remember seeing that many powershields or multishines in any of their older vids. that **** takes practice.

i guess no one said they dropped it, but the impression i had was that they were all a bunch of kens that quit and moved on.

I can explain you about that, because it's written on the site. It seems that after the last Ketubato, people were just waiting for Brawl. But then it didn't get that many people interested, especially not many melee players. So things stopped for a bit. IKKI, which previously used to organize the Ketubato tournaments, stopped doing them at all, and I don't think that he's playing anymore, sadly. So, on the site Koto (Thunders) wrote that he found a new place, and after a lot of months tried to organize a new tournament (sumabato #0). 48 People got there, so they now restarted. Also, Captain Jack, Masashi, Aniki and others seems to not be playing anymore but that's just what I see

There are some old (2007) videos of Tani against Masashi, Shu and Mach Dash, and they're all pretty amazing.

Sorry guys, MAJOR ERROR by me. It's HOSHIKABI and not HOSHINOKIRBY. After reading Hoshi i though at hoshinokirby for unknown reasons. Hoshikabi, instead, was DK and Sheik mainer from long time.

I've always seen his name spelled "Hosikabi" or "Hoshino Kirby", so I was under the impression that either one is fine. His Sheik is cool.

Alright, update time :)

two things:

1st, the Doc which was called _Jun (That's what was written) is actually Farusu, as stated in the result page. Not a new player.

2nd, another tournament ended on the 1st of November :)

results here:

1° Mach Dash
2° Koto
3° Kokutou ( no clue on who he is)
4° Souther

No vids yet.
