Nice find. I actually don't want voice chatting in "With Everyone" games (I know, I know, I'm very weird like that), but I would love to see it in non-anonymous games. Hopefully it will get implemented.

I doubt that IF it does come out before brawl is released, it won't be on "With Anyone". We can't even see a person's name, let alone voice chat.

I actually kinda like Nintendo's policy that online games are pretty much games, not games with chat rooms, leader boards and so on built in. That being said, they're going too far.

It seems like if Sakurai isn't going to allow any names to be seen, he's not going to allow voice chatting on the "With Anyone" by any means. I'm still divided on whether or not it would be worth it on "With Friends" mode.

Voice chat is awesome. I don't care about leaderboards, only really un confident nerds do but voice chat would be wonderful.

I don't want voice chat. I don't need to hear some n00bs cussing me out when they lose.

yea if voice chat was implemented last minute it should ONLY be in With Friends....it just makes sense...it should also have a little icon that shows which friend has a headset so you dont have to waste your voice on a friend who doesnt have a headset...

I really do hope they put it in....and besides if they dont do it pre-release Im pretty sure they can make a downloadable patch via WiiConnect24...

I would love the voice chat in the friends only matches...

That way you could add more to your taunts.... you don't have to worry about submitting reports for vile language... cuz if you don't like what the other person is saying.. Why are you their friend?

But i think the "With Anyone should remain anonymous.

It seems like something that would be really good for Wii, but it would probably only be useful if your playing an online game with a large group of people, or if your just playing with friends. If it was 1v1 in an online game it would feel pretty awkward IMO.

I think the best thing we can hope for concerning voice chat is a patch at a later date... but hey, better late than never

Voice chat would be nice on friends mode, I wouldn't use it on Anyone mode even if it was avaiable.

Even if it turns out we don't get any voice chat on Brawl, I have most of the people I would play with as of now on Skype, or could use a vent server.

Just think about it if there was voice chat there would be n00bs yelling at you non stop and it would really put me off haveing some random talking while im playing.
It would be good if there was an allow from this person option so that only people on your friend list or something could talk to you.

Nintendo has got to realize to appeal to a larger audience, they got to get better internet...

anyway, i think they should get a headset only for friends. That way.... yeh you get it.

I don't see why you would want VC on with anyone, I mean its free for all, It would only allow annoying insults, and on team mode its with a random person, how are you going to plan in such a fast-paced game? With friends would be good though.
We don't know anything about team mode yet. It could be two people on the same Wii facing two people on another Wii as well.

If Nintendo cares about older gamers and child safety, I'm sure voice chat will be an option that can be turned off in the parental controls settings(hopefully!!! I really want voice chat)

I just want voice chat with friends thats all I'm asking for, you know it's more fun when you can talk with your friends while playing. What if they rigged it so you could use a DS if you have one as a mic?

I see no reason for voice comm not to be included in friends mode.

I dont see why they couldnt do this.

If they do, it should only be capable in With Friends only.
Theres too many idiots that would be constantly yelling and swearing at you if its allowable in With Anyone.

This would be good, however there are a couple difficult problems.

1) The article only states that it is under consideration and that it's only a future thought.

2) Brawl release is so close that I don't see how it could be impenment without dealing it further.

3) Would games on the Wii system even be patchable, including Brawl, giving the limited storage capability of the system itself?

Yes, voice chat should be implemented and the very least being able to talk with your friends is likely the only choice Nintendo would give you. Though I urge them to let us talk with everyone for the sake that we may make more friends or perhaps a skilled player could give tips to a not advanced player. Really if people are annoying you there would likely be an option to mute them thus solving the problem and still being able to chat with others in the game. Or as has been said you could just take off your mic, so really those who are annoyed by noobs or younuns shouting or cussing constantly have no excuse and if they don't take the precautions to mute said person, they are just flat out lazy. There should be voice chat and it should be with everyone. Come on Nintendy, I'm rootin for you to go with the right decision on this one.

Unless we can play a 2 on 2 match on with any1 with your partner randomly picked, i see no reason why its needed. All it would be is 9 year olds going "owned" and everytime u hit them they'd start cursing :ohwell: No thanks.

Hi guys, how's it going?
I understand that some people would prefer it to be off in "With Anyone" matches, but then why not just have it be an option you can flip on or off? Honestly, it's getting really ridiculous. There's no reason for Nintendo to be leaving out key features like this.

seriously! is it that hard to be able to turn it on or off? what about parental controls? if the parents would have a problem all they have to do is set a password on it. problem solved
