even though it could have been better ive still heard its pretty awesome. And from the stages ive seen made i think its a pretty fun mode

I guess it was last minute due to the simplicity, but you can still make thousands of stages with just a few different pieces. We could make many things with Stage Builder as it is. Smash Olympics Stages anyone?

Yeah, everything announce slightly before and after the first delay was a last minute addition imo (except for characters). Brawl was rushed not doubt. Anyways, Stage Builder should have given you the option of placing ANY background from certain pre-made stages. It wouldn't alter the stage if you placed the Smashville, Lylat Cruise, Final Destination e.c.t. Certain backgrounds would be excluded (Bridge of Eldin, Castle Siege, Great Sea e.c.t.)
