Lol cheesy title I know... But i realized something. Brawl is looking as though it will turn out to be a great game, up there with Zelda: OoT and Super Mario 64. How could they expand though? If there is a SSB 4, what could they possibly put in it to make it "new and exciting"? There is already custom levels, co-op...everything, great graphics (I'm sure they COULd make it better though, as technology advances). They have covered ALOT of characters, and there really are not that many SUITABLE characters to put in the next game. I know there are some, but unless they start using obscure characters that no one knows about, or a HUGE 3rd party pool, the next game would not have that many new characters... Also, do you think think the franchise will continue? Will there be spin-off games like there is for Halo (Halo Wars)?

here are some of the things they could add (Feel free to give me ideas to add to this list):
Custom Events, sendable to friends
A new storyline
A larger pool of characters...
Custom music (Import songs to play on levels)

This sort of goes along with that thread about Brawl being the last Smash Bros game. It's apparent Sakurai is going all out on this one, so he may plan for it to be the end. Who knows, really.

I think it will be a great game though, in regards to what all they are adding.

An online adventure mode
Online record boards for things like target test, board the platforms, etc.
Customizable characters
Custom music
More characters

Among other things that only Shigeru Miyamoto (the only person besides Sakurai I trust Smash Bros. with) could think of.

You can't say Brawl is the best ever if it isn't even released yet. It would be acceptable to say "The best anticipation ever", though.

I have high hopes for Brawl, as well as everyone else on SWF.

As for spinoffs, I could see a full SSE adventure game down the road, but let's play Brawl first, before we get ahead of ourselves.

yah know I always thought the subspace was only going to be one of many adventures. I guess that is not going to happen. I also thought that there would be a really in depth online mode(which is looking bleak). I think those two additions would make brawl one of "the Best" games of all time, like loz oot, or mario 64.

If you think about it, ssbb "stuff" is going to in solo (co-op) mode, and online. All other ssb's have had multiplayer nailed. Perhaps they will take downloadable content seriously. I think that would def. increse the logevity of the game, even though it doesn't need to be of course. It would be way cool if you could download new updates/adventures/events/ or possibley characters, All post release.

Well, There are always things that could make a game better then it is, because no game is perfect, but that doesn't necessary mean it stops it from being the best.

Actually, There is no such thing as a "best" game, as for everyone has their own opinions and style of games. For example, I do not like Halo at all, yet many people are in love and think Halo 3 is the best game ever.

Brawl can be the "Best" of its franchise, or even Best fighter game, but not in comparison to other genres.

Agreed. I think this will be the best one.

They will eventually run out of characters, I mean, hes going to use the speculated ones that ake sense for this game, and after that, whos left?

All power to Brawl!

Yeah, whoa there, Tonto. And I thought people were jumping the gun about speculating for Brawl. Let's enjoy Brawl for the next 6-7 years and then we can start talking about SSB 4 (if there will be a SSB 4.)

I think this will be the last Smash Bros game, but perhaps they could come out with a touched up remake years from now. Just take the game and improve the graphis and maybe the balancing for whatever the nest console is

Since a new installment will require Nintendo to strike new deals with its third party affiliates, I think it's safe to say that Brawl will not have a sequel for quite some time. In my humble estimation, we won't see a new Smash Bros. title until we see a new console from Nintendo.

In the next one they could redo the older characters that got cut from Melee to Brawl... (well, only the needed ones (not Dr. Mario or Y. Link... and maybe Pichu also) I'm looking at Ness, Roy and maybe some others (Mewtwo, Falco? *hopes they'll be in Brawl*)

I think a DS, or whatever the next handheld is Smash game is almost a guarantee. Other than that who knows.

I seriously think Brawl will be THE BEST GAME EVER MADE. But since Melee is my favorite game ever currently I guess thats kind of biased.
