The Smash series went through a MAJOR change since SSB64! We got the new moves and techniques, but the Single Player had a monterous amount of more value. One of my favorite features was Adventure Mode, certain stages in Adventure Mode to be precise.

See, I loved the first level that spans across the Mushroom Kingdom, or Link's Dungeon, Samus' Escape from Brinstar, and C.Falcons Marathon. Wouldn't it be wonderful if each SSBB character had a particular level like this designed to fit around their native games, but still being Smash Bros.

See, Link could have a mini-dungeon in 2-D. You could go around and collect keys to advance to other rooms, and eventually fight a boss (let's assume Vaati is a boss in SSE, you'd fight him at the end of this dungeon if he were in).

Mario could have a Smash Bros version of World 1-1 in SMB.

Samus could have an escape level.

Fox could have a level where he has to cross the entire stage with the Landmaster.

Sonic could have a speedy level of his own with potentially an Eggman boss at the end.

Let's say Olimar made it, he could have a level where he would have to transverse a stage and rescue plucked Pikmin.

These stages make for a unique concept that would drastically increase the games enjoyability. It would require a lot of effort, and Player's could still make their own, half-a$$ed variations in Stage Builder, but it would be cool if thise feture is/already is implemented.

I loved the first Mario level, but it seems like they just stopped doing it after the first level.

They must have ran out of time.

I think there will be stages similar to these concepts but they will only only vaguely look like what they are based on, as The Subspace Emissary looks to have its own world

Yeah, take note of several enemies who look like real enemies, but obviously aren't (like the PokeBall lookalikes and the Wheel-O ripoffs).
