SSB64 hidden characters

Does anyone else feel that for whatever reason Sakurai is planning on keeping the original hidden characters from SSB64 ( Luigi, Ness, Captain Falcon, Jiggly), a secret until after the game is released.

I happen to believe that for whatever reason Sakurai will do this. I also strongly believe Sakurai would not take out an original SSB64 character.

I'd rather not because you will be very very disappointed. Ness' chances are about the same as Meowth right now, where Sakurai clearly states that the character isn't going to be in Brawl.

Capitan Falcon is VERY likely to be the next veteran revealed, since Ness is out.

After he is confirmed, then Melee unlockable veterans will probably be shown.

Then why did Sakurai say Ness wasn't going to be in Brawl?

i don't think they did and i dont think they will for this game..... we won't see these four until after it is released in japan

Kingjokur, that fact that he still could be in means nothing, what matters is that now most people now are assuming Ness will not be in Brawl unless otherwise stated. This is a large shift in attitude based on solid evidence.

Until I see a link to Sakurai saying "Ness will not return as a playable character in Brawl", then what you claim is just conjecture. If you can't admit that, then you're just being cynical.

Indeed he stated they are similar, that's how Mario & Luigi were in Melee, plus the "up until now" doesn't mean anything, he could say the smae for Falcon or Luigi, it really doesn't matter because he didn't official say Ness wasn't going to return, and I refuse to believe it UNTIL I see an update on the DOJO regarding his appearance

Sakurai isn't exactly the delay master-and few saw it coming with all honesty. He hasn't made very many delays that he announced personally. The "SSB Revolution will be a launch title" he had no affairs in, the "Brawl will come out in 2007" after the E3 2006 trailer wasn't him, but he officially announced on his site that Brawl would come out in North America on December 3rd, 2007; he had a roll in making that decision. While it probably was a business move, he made that move, and it wasn't foreseeable by many-a giant majoritt actually-that everyone (myself included) was a part of basically. If you say you saw it coming, chances are you either hide under a rock from the flammers, or you're a liar. (not saying either at anyone in specific) You never do know with Sakurai...he did pwn God at mindgames, after all. Sakurai+mindgames=broken.

I'm not looking at it from Sakurai's point of view, Twilight Princess got delayed, Wind Waker got delayed, Mario Kart Double Dash got delayed, most hyped Nintendo games get delayed and is most likely not because Sakurai plays mindgames.

and i know there is other threads about this, but i dont think today's update confirmed ness to not be in brawl.

in the update he says (<Side Special Move: PK Fire>This is also quite different from Ness’s.) which is present tense not past
