Assist Trophies and PokeBalls have both been a staple in Smash Bros. with PokeBalls appearing since 64 and Assist Trophies appearing Brawl. It is obvious that some new PokeBalls and Assist Trophies will be revealed during the development for Super Smash Bros. Wii U/3DS.

This is where you can talk, discuss, and speculate about confirmed/unconfirmed PokeBalls and Assist Trophies.

I'll start us off with....Dry Bones!

Name: Dry Bones

Universe: Mario

Debut: Super Mario Bros. 3 (1988)

Availability: Starter

Dry Bones is a Skeleton version of a Koopa and a minor enemy faced in many of Bowser’s castles and dungeons in the Mario series. However, he has appeared in various spin-off Mario games such as Mario Kart and Mario Party.

In SSB4, Dry Bones will appear from an Assist Trophy and begin walking/jumping around the stage. It will run into enemies causing 8% damage for every hit and can hit opponents after the initial hit. However, if attacked, Dry Bones will crumble into a pile of bones. This usually lasts for 6 seconds before he reconstructs himself. Dry Bones is usually out in the field for 15 seconds before he disappears however, if he is hit and crumbles, this pauses his timer.[/URL]

I thought of this idea for a Poke Ball a while back.

May as well post this here. Here's my Poke Ball idea for everyone's favorite forgotten puffer fish, Qwilfish.

Basically, you'd use Qwilfish as a club. You'd pick it up (like Bonsly), only by the tail. Basically, its move would be Toxic Spikes. You'd be able to hit the opponent similar to a Home Run Bat, only do less initial damage, but the opponent would then be clouded in a purple poisonous aura that would damage similar to the poison gas in the SSE. However, if the opponent attacks you while you're holding Qwilfish, he will drop off of you, and disappear by diving into the stage. The poison will keep damaging the foe until Qwilfish is removed.

Name:professor Elvin Gadd
Universe:Mario
Debut:Luigi's mansion (2001)

A kooky professor who creates tons of inventions and contraptions for the Mario brothers.on his off time from creating inventions he is also a ghost hunter and once created Luigi the poltergeist 3000 to help save Mario.

In ssb4 professor will be able to use various contraptions ie:f.l.u.DD, poltergeist 3000 to damage players in combat with the f.l.u.d.d professor will be able to push players off with water causing no damage
With the poltergeist 3000 the professor hasbrhe ability to release ghost onto the stage that damage the player 5%each time
professor will only last 13seconds

^^^Kamek's a guy, BTW. Maybe you're thinking of Kammy?

Anyway, here's my (unlikely) AT idea.
Doshin the Giant

When Doshin appears out of the Assist Trophy, he would pretty much just stand there, where he was summoned, not doing much at the beginning. He would take up a significant portion of the stage (not as much as Groudon, but a good amount). He would always start as his yellow "Love Giant" form. He disappears after a certain amount of time.

If opponents attack him, are sent flying into him, throw items at him, etc. he starts to get more and more red. If he takes a certain amount of damage before he disappears, he will turn into the red "Hate Giant", and start rampaging around the stage, doing a significant amount of damage to those that come in contact with him. Eventually he will disappear.

The person who summoned him cannot contribute to his building damage, or take damage when he starts rampaging.

May as well post my idea from K. Rool's thread here.

Assist Trophy - Klump and Krusha

These two served as high-ranking members of K. Rool's Kremling Krew during the original DKC, being two of the more challenging enemies in the game. They also appeared in a more comedic role in the esteemed Donkey Kong Country cartoon. Now, Klump and Krusha appear as an Assist Trophy to further plague the battlefield with their lizard lunacy. They spawn side by side and salute their summoner, Klump being slightly less wide than Dedede and slightly shorter than Ganondorf, while Krusha is less wide than Klump, but taller than Ganondorf by a hair. Putting his military expertise to great use, Klump begins marching around the stage, placing Soccer Ball-sized Orange Grenades on the ground at random. Should these come in contact with a character, they'll explode, dealing 15% and great horizontal knockback. Occasionally, Klump will plant multiple Grenades side by side, causing all of them to explode at once if even one is touched, creating a massive, damage hitbox.

Unfortunately, like the loveable lunkhead he is, Krusha tends to get in the way of Klump's little plan. He too lumbers around the stage at random, but if he comes across an Orange Grenade, he'll pick it up and eat it, declaring 'Mmm, yummy!' in his dopey voice. This removes it from the stage, preventing foes from being hit into it. The summoner can prevent Krusha's hunger from getting in the way, though; although Klump cannot be attacked, Krusha can, upon which he'll be knocked back slightly, but will simply laugh it off, as he does in DKC. To ensure Orange Grenades remain a danger to opponents, it is a wise idea to knock Krusha away from them whenever he comes close, or knock him off the stage entirely to get rid of him. Klump plants approximately ten Orange Grenades over a period of twenty seconds before disappearing, taking Krusha with him if he's still around. Orange Grenades last as long as Snake's C4s if they are not hit. Klump and Krusha appear somewhat rarely as Assist Trophies, but are more likely to appear when K. Rool himself is the summoner.

Here are some Poke Ball Pokemon inputs that I had inputted in the last set of weeks...
----------------------
Krookodile

If Krookodile is released from its Poke Ball, it'll use Outrage, damaging any players who are in its path. Interestingly, the power of this attack is determined by how strong its target's physical strength is; a reference to the attack, Foul Play, which uses the target's physical attack stat against it.

Outrage's power is not affected by magic attack strength, however, so if Rosalina is a weak physical attacker, but has powerful magic attacks, Outrage won't damage her much, due to her low physical strength. For a character like Ganondorf, however, because his physical strength is very high, he'll take a lot of damage from Krookodile's Outrage.
----------------------
Haxorus

If the player releases Haxorus from its Poke Ball, it'll use Guillotine. Anyone who gets caught in this attack's path is guaranteed to get KO'd. The attack bypasses shields, and can easily KO even giants and metallic players (similar to Marth's Critical Hit). It can't KO those who are impervious to flinching (such as Giga Bowser and Wario-Man), however. Likewise, if the attack doesn't KO, it'll still send targets flying a great distance.

Also, there is a delay before Haxorus executes its attack, giving opposing players a chance to flee before it strikes.
----------------------
Torkoal

When released from its Poke Ball, Torkoal will create a smokescreen. While the smokescreen is around, players will have a harder time getting around, and this does apply to the one who released Torkoal to begin with.

If Assist trophys make it into the next game,

Digger D. Mole

The Dog and Ducks From Duck-Hunt

Sukapon

As for Pokemon I'd Really Like to See

Blaziken

I Imagine him attacking similar to Hitmonlee from the original smash bros. After its battlecry it rushes towards an opponent with a deadly kick and flys off the screen.

Character: Wanda

Game: Mario & Wario(Japan only)-1993

Universe: Mario

Status: HIDDEN-to unlock, beat Classic mode on Very Hard with Mario or Wario without using any continues

effect: Wand flies back and forth over the arena, shooting magic shots from her wand every few seconds. if it hits the ground, a block appears that can be used as a weapon, doing 8% damage on hit with moderate knockback. if a character is hit, a bucket will cover their head, doing 3% damage and reversing their controls for several seconds(forward is back, normal attacks are special attacks, etc.) she stays out for 15 seconds.

---------------------
Tornadus

Tornadus is a legendary Pokemon who, like all other legendaries, will rarely pop out from a Poke Ball. However, it is likely to come out of a Master Ball, as Master Balls ensure that you'll release a legendary Pokemon.

When Tornadus is released, it'll create a powerful cyclone, which moves around the battlefield. Anyone caught in the cyclone will take large amounts of damage, and the damage is consecutive.

On some occasions, Tornadus will appear in its Therian Form, and create two cyclones, instead of just one.

---------------------
Thundurus

Thundurus is a legendary Pokemon who, like all other legendaries, will rarely pop out from a Poke Ball. However, it is likely to come out of a Master Ball, as Master Balls ensure that you'll release a legendary Pokemon.

When Thundurus is released, it'll create a thunderstorm, and lightning bolts will start raining down onto the battlefield. Anyone caught in the onslaught will be heavily damaged, and sent flying.

On some occasions, Thundurus will appear in its Therian Form. If the Therian Form appears, the lightning bolts will be much wider, and the damage that they deal will also increase.

---------------------
Landorus

Landorus is a legendary Pokemon who, like all other legendaries, will rarely pop out from a Poke Ball. However, it is likely to come out of a Master Ball, as Master Balls ensure that you'll release a legendary Pokemon.

When Landorus is released, it'll create powerful tremors with Earth Power. Anyone who gets caught in the tremors will be damaged, and sent flying vertically.

On some occasions, Landorus will appear in its Therian Form. If the Therian Form appears, it'll instead use Fissure. Anyone caught in the Fissure will almost always end up being KO'd. If it doesn't KO though, it'll still send foes flying great distances.

Because everyone is so engrossed in her appearence as a character, I
who thinks Victini is better suited for a character slot
am going for Zoroark.

[COLLAPSE="Zoroark Picture"]
[/COLLAPSE]

When sent out, Zoroark roars, like she does in the PokeDex 3D (Example: 0:37), then, like she does in the movie, she slams her red-glowing arms into the ground, unleashing night daze, which has a radius of 2.5 character spaces.

This attack is like the smart bomb in SSBB, but Zoroark will sometimes giggle, then will disappear, not using Night daze at all! Now, as she disappears, you'd think she's gone. Well, at a 25% chance, she'll return near an enemy, and then use Night Daze, which'll have a 2 character radius instead of 2.5, and is also a bit weaker.

(I say Zoroark is a girl because in the movie, the Zoroark is a girl. Just in case anyone's wondering.)

Victini

With Victini being a legendary Pokemon, it is very rare to get out of a Poke Ball. Master Balls, on the other hand, give players a greater chance to release this Pokemon.

If Victini is released, it'll follow the player who released it, and utilize its Victory Star ability on him/her. That player will begin to emit a fiery red aura, which gives the strength of his/her physical, indirect, and magic attacks a 1.5x power boost. The effects of Victory Star remain in effect until Victini disappears, which typically happens after 20 seconds have passed.

If the player that Victini is helping has his/her current damage at 100%+, Victini will aid that player even further by utilizing Searing Shot to temporarily stun opponents within range. This in return will make it easier for the player to take advantage of Victory Star's power boost.

Yes I totally agree with this. I'm thinking it would appear and anyone can pick him up and it would give him gliding ability. If you get hit while holding it you drop him immediaty. If the cucco gets hit one or three times then a swarm of cuccos attacks everyone on the screen. They will even attack the one who releases it.

this would be total win. it would bring a classic gag to the frantic Smash Bros. series. or perhaps add the pigs from Wind Waker to the mix? loved screwing other players in Four Swords Adventures using the chicken.

did you know that in Twilight Princess, when you attack the chicken you gain control of it, instead of making it angry?

Assist Trophy: Mogenar
Game: Metroid Prime 3 Corruption
Duration: 20 Seconds
Status: Available at start

Mogenar is completely impervious to attack and is huge, about the height of a super mushroomed-Bowser. When it appears, the war golem will laugh deeply and stomp on the ground, forming a Phazon shockwave that can be jumped over. The war golem will then begin thrusting out its arms and shooting green energy constructs shaped like hands at opponents at a rate of about 1 every two seconds; these hands travel slowly, at around PK Thunder speed, and they have 10% health each. If an energy hand grabs a foe, it will immobilize him and pull him back to Mogenar (Who stops shooting energy hands as this happens). The war machine will then toss him to the ground and stomp on him contemptuously, creating another shock wave. Then Mogenar will begin shooting energy hands again.

Bald Bull

When summoned by an Assist Trophy, Bald Bull will prepare to execute his infamous Bull Charge. The attack packs a huge punch, often resulting in quick KOs, but if it doesn't KO, opponents would still be sent flying great distances.

White Bomber: He will appear on the stage and run toward enemies of the player who summoned him. While on the stage he will throw 6 bombs at random each with different effects. While he does go after enemies though the bombs can hurt any player incuding yourself.

I really like the Bald Bull AT. He could replace Little Mac if he become playable.

I'm not sure about Gigyas. Something about swirling screaming faces making the shapes of fetuses doesn't seem family oriented.

Actually, that's not bad. I, once, did make a Victini Pokeball set which involved him using V-Create. He'd appear, then disappear from invisability. He'll then appear near in opponent, and grab them. He'll then throw them upwards, and then use V-Create on them from the side in a quick attack. It'd be a one-hit-KO.

But I like yours more.

But I hate it secretly because Victini should be playable. :troll:

Yeah, that was one of the few things I disliked about Twilight Princess. :glare:

It's nice to see positive comments about my Cucco idea. :awesome: I really think that it fits the Smash atmosphere... you know like Beedrill in Smash 64 and Unown in Melee... it sucks that there was no summonable character who Zerg Rushes the stage in Brawl. Cuccos would be perfect for that role in Smash.

Cranky Kong

If released from an Assist Trophy, Cranky Kong will start making a speech. His speech will not affect the battle in any way, and is mostly for comic relief; he's basically similar to Mr. Resetti.

Unlike Mr. Resetti's speeches, Cranky Kong's speeches primarily focus on making mockery remarks towards today's games; mockery statements include game difficulty, graphics, and even controls. Cranky may also brag about what would happen if we was made into a playable character.

Some quotes that Cranky may use would include...

*"They can't keep this level of graphics up for much longer! We used to be lucky if we only got three shades of grey, let alone any real colors!"

*"Whisking off maidens and throwing barrels around the place seven days a week, I was. That's how I got where I am today, you know. Hard work."

*"Special? Hah! I'd sure like to know what makes these items any better than the others; they look just as useless to me. Probably because they're slightly larger and a little shinier, I suppose."

*"I've never seen so much worthless rubbish! I'm surprised they don't give you a special 'trash barrel' to haul it all around in!"

MSGuy: Someone had the same idea but there was this catch implemented that Cranky Kong's ranting would even affect the stage or the gameplay:

- Once he'd say: "Sometimes, our sprites changed size for no reason! You spoiled youngsters!", then his opponents will suddenly change size randomly.

- If Cranky says, "We only had four shades of grey, and we were happy!", then the stage and the characters will turn to black and white.

- Sometimes he'll even mutter " They really love put so much detail on everything: what a huge waste of frames. Here's how you do it, simple and clean.". Cut to characters making Mr Game & Watch-style frame-to-frame movement.

Cranky can say various other things, such as causing his foes to go to sleep, causing random explosions, dropping barrels from the sky, making an advertisement for Cranky Kong Country appear in the background, insulting the obscure characters for their "fake popularity" (such as Pit or Takamaru.), and overall creating a lot of random chaos to happen in the stage.

Accelgor

When released from a Pokeball Accelgor the "Shell Out" Pokemon will remain stationary for about a second or two. Afterwards he will jump into the air in a ninja like fashion and dash towards the opponent in a high speed using U-Turn. Accelgor is so fast he's almost unavoidable! Once Accelgor strikes one opponent he will do a do a quick turn and ram into the next opponent. His attack is similar to Weavile in SSBB except his attack doesn't stun the opponent it simply does damage he's so fast not even Captain Falcon or Sonic can avoid him.

Glass Joe

When released from an Assist Trophy, Glass Joe will attack weakly with some hooks. The hooks are very weak, and don't deliver much knockback at all. After a while, Glass Joe will say "Vive Le France". When he says that quote, you can attack Glass Joe, which will cause him to get knocked down. Anyone caught in Glass Joe's knockdown path will take some damage, and be sent flying sideways.

Balrog (Cave Story 3DS Version)

Type: Assistant Trophy
Style: Attack
Rareness: Normal, Rare, Very Rare, Almost never

When Balrog appears, he jumps straight up, and then land at five random spots (Without falling into a pit, or jumping off stage). His landing is a bit stronger than King DDD's (B)^ landing. On the sixth jump, he lands once again in a random spot, but will go straight up, disappearing, and then land, yelling out, "Oh yeah!". The landing counter creates a 2 character-space shock wave on landing. After landing, he looks left, then right, then to the camera (straight forward) and then chuckles, disappearing, done with the assistance.

In the first five jumps, he might do his floating-flapping flight to move further, shooting three rockets straight down, which are a bit weaker than Bob-Ombs. He'll also drop faster after the float/rocket landing. On the final landing, he'll fall faster than Kirby's Stone Drop. The countering shock waves do electric damage. If someone is straight under Balrog when he lands (In the first 5 landings), they'll pit underground. If they are hit straight under Balrog on the sixth landing, they'll be auto KO'd, being shot straight upwards at a fast rate.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
King (Cave Story 3DS Version)
Type: Assistant
Style: Attack
Rareness: Normal, Rare, Very Rare, Almost never
When King comes out, he swings his sword upwards. The blade shines, and then he dashes straight forward, as fast as Marth's FS dash. When he hits someone, they are hit by an electric-hit that knocks them straight down, like a meteor smash. 1 and a half character spaces around the victim are slashed and cut up. Anyone in the slashing area will be stuck, and slashed up. After the attack is executed, the cut-up foes are knocked away. King then disappears after the attack.
How about New Age Retro Hippie from Earthbound?
When he pops up his music starts playing. He chases after people trying to wack them with a toothbrush and if it hits causes a low chance of turning them into stone. Occasionally he will stop and pull out a ruler and measures things. If a projectile hits him then he gets angry and he moves faster and does more damage.
I also really like the Glass Joe idea. Though personally I'm a Bald Bull fan I'm thinking getting knocked out by Glass Joe would be utter humiiliation.
Ops! My mistake! ASSIST Trophies. Non just "trophies".
I can't remove the post so I have to make this edit.
Pokeball: Ferroseed
Would be a regular throw item with a catch: whenever you pick it up it hurts you, and you slowly take damage the longer you hold it (this is based on its ability, Iron Barbs, which hurts any pokemon that makes contact with it)
So, he's a "High risk, High Reward" Poke Ball? Nice. I'd like to see it.
When realased he will start running for the closest opponent and gas-stunning him. Even from above and from below. Done that he will search for another opponent to gas.
