I do think that some people are putting too much meat just because is a 50 minutes direct. I think that most of the direct is going to be about stuff that is already announced, with a few surprises and maybe some ports... I predict info and release date of bayonetta 3. Maybe info for and release date for BOTW2, and info regarding stuff like pokemon snap, maybe another pokemon spinoff... Animal crossing future updates, and a low profile game surprise.

Gun to my head, my Smash predictions are Lloyd or Rex, but I'm hoping for Adol or Reimu. Granted, I'd be fine with what I'm predicting anyways.

Here's my mishmash of predictions and hopes.
  • 3D World updates/DLC (I want Daisy! Calico Cat suit!)
  • Smash stuff (Reimu, or KOS-MOS. Either would be dummy cool. I predict the former, but there're plenty of fighters I'm open to.)
  • Kirby things. I wanna know HAL is up to.
  • Denpa Men game on Switch (I know that'd be kind of hard to make work, but you oughta let me dream!)
  • BotW 2 teaser. I don't expect tangible content but I need a reassurance!

As I do not have much of an idea which character will be unveiled next for today's Direct, what I am anticipating and I do hope will be shown is the reveal of the localised version of the "Great Ace Attorney."

Kirby game
Diamond & Pearl remakes (though that would probably be save for a Pokemon Direct)
Mario Odyssey 2
something Mario Kart related
Pikmin 4 (absolute pipedream at this point)
something Wario or DK related would be cool
a dead series revival (Ice Climber?)
Bandana Dee or Crash in Smash (preferably Dee but I'll take Crash too)

3D World really is just kind of the purest essence of Mario. Something Nintendo clearly knows seeing as they've made two offshoots of it. I think if they wanted to just like - update it now and then with a new playable character or a couple levels or whatever - that'd be so, so good. I don't even need specifics, just an announcement that the game will receive updates would be fantastic.

I bet we'll see a Fire Emblem remake of some sorts in this direct, either FE 4 or FE 6 I'm guessing. Maybe we'll get another FE rep for smash too.

BotW 2 has gotta be in here somewhere as well.

I stand by this.

I really hope we can get something Donkey Kong related as well. A new mainline game by Nintendo has often been speculated about. It's a big hope of mine currently, same with the revival of Golden Sun.

One hour, ten minutes left. The main speculation thread has already dropped a few spoilers. Nothing Smash related, but stay here if you want to avoid them. I am not sure it's 100% concrete, but better safe than sorry.
