Enjoying the new weapons from the new season? I'm having lots of content overload balancing them with Side Order DLC.

Interesting that they revealed Spring Fest before the next Splatfest even though the Spring Fest Splatfest comes after...

well i finished side order today. and i'm now sure i don't like rouge likes

I finished Side Order with Octobrush, then I did it with Splattershot and Duelies.

The completionist in me wants to eventually finish with all weapons to open all the lockers, but not sure if I have the mental fortitude or patience to do it with weapons like Charger or Stringer. It'll probably be a very long term goal that I'll only work on from time to time, similar to collecting Spirits in Smash or Korok seeds in BOTW/TOTK. Or for that matter, getting stars for weapons in Splatoon multiplayer.

Octobrush was the most helpful weapon for me personally because of it's ability to deal damage with large hordes in close range. My octoling got cornered a lot but a few swishes of the brush wiped them out.

Lots of new stuff this Splatfest, Fizzbangs, return of Inkopolis Square and the Splatoon 2 idols. Interesting getting adjusted to the new gameplay mechanic in the fizzbangs.

With the April 8th shutdown of Wii U online, Splatoon 1 will essentially have most of its gameplay modes closed, with only local multiplayer and the single player campaign and minigames remaining.
