Look at the most up to date rankings for January 12th. Sonic is B rank, above every character in C D and E.

That doesn't mean he's mid tier. That just means he's placing well in tournaments.

But those tournaments don't mean anything because Sonic only places in scrub tournaments, and there are millions of Sonic's who go to tournaments so they MUST place, and nobody plays against Sonic because there are so few, so they lose do to matchup experience.

Sonic's been placing anywhere at the 16-20 spot very consistently for a long time now...it's just 15 is his new alltime highest.

These are just tourney results, they matter but that doesn't mean Sonic is mid tier. And yea, he's consistently been placing from 16-20
