Edison or another scientist would've made sense for Ford. I thought about the possibility of Mash forming a contract with Steven as well but I wasn't instantly sold on it like I was with Lily and Star.

Another good match indeed. And while I wasn't familiar with the character at all at the time, I can say now that I don't think there could've been a better pick for Heshima's trainer other than Atalanta. That's another perfect match, in my opinion.
