The very thing was repulsing, driving fear into the monsters that gazed into it, yet they were still drawn to it, unaware that the thing's aura was controlling the minds of those around it.
One, intoxicated by the jewel's influence, touched it, and as it did so, the jewel burst, covering the area with a dark purple light, completely vaporizing the half of the monsters that was in the light's vicinity, causing their souls to depart this world and travel into the clutches of the demons that had long awaited them.

...Well, I had something important in mind for those monsters and the Pokemon facing them, but I'm open to seeing what this is as long as most of the other roleplayers here approve.
