Characters that should be banned:
- Pika: broken
- Kirby: broken
- Fox: laser
- Captain Falcon: uair
- DK: grab/upb
- Link: projectiles
- Yoshi: utilt
- Ness: grab
- Luigi: gimp
- Mario: gimp
- Jiggly: downb
Two solutions left: Samus dittos only. Ban Samus too and therefore ban the game. The latter sounds more appropriate though.

is smash64 competitive events totally gone? I see that there now is a smash64 Online tournaments forum, which is great, but I liked having a forum where we could point out the few console tournaments too. It's not like most people are going to sift through the pages of Melee/Brawl tournaments to see if any nearby have 64.
Not like there were any real tourneys offline anyways except Apex/Genesis, and honestly everyone nearby is prolly gonna shout it from the social thread

I closed the thread because it was a spam haven. If someone created the thread anew with a legitimate, well-thought-out argument and people discussed it seriously, then I'd let it be.
And I don't rely on Pikachu at all. I very rarely will play one character more than like 3 matches in a row. I definitely play Link more than Pika, and usually other characters as well, depending on my mood.

When someone posts a tournament in this forum, I just move it (with a redirect) to Competitive Events. I've never infracted or locked a thread for that reason.
Now that I'm home for Thanksgiving break, I'll try to get the Competitive Events section back, preferably with a link inside the Smash 64 main forum.
For now, if someone wants to post a non-online event, feel free to do it here, and I won't touch it without reason (I can't speak for Surri, etc. though). Hopefully we can get a better system soon.

Just bought a virgin grey N64 controller at Bookman's today. They still exist! Now I have a backup for Apex.

He was elected mod, but I had a feeling that he would be soft/would go inactive and never supported him. Sure enough, he was soft/went inactive. I swear life likes to prove me right sometimes.I just noticed that in the list of moderators of this board there's a mod called Blue Yoshi. I have never heard of that guy before
