Sorry, but it takes more than "I dunno" to convince me, You really think they'd actually say "well, you got us, Doom Guy's in Smash"? Hell, Grant Kirkhope did something similar two weeks prior to Banjo's Smash reveal. Pretty sure SNK also actively denied not being in Smash,, though trying to google that nowadays just gives you people talking only about why Mai isn't there. And even Nintendo itself is king when it comes to playing "no, but actually yes".

Bottom line is, I don't put much faith into anything a game company or related person says, especially with NDAs being a thing. Does that confirm Doom Guy? No, but to me it also doesn't mean he has a 0% of being in. Unless there's irrefutable proof I remain open minded.

Inkling... is what I'd say, but I'm one of those degenerates who only has vanilla MK8 and not Deluxe. So Rosalina and sometimes Waluigi.

Weird to think that in... exactly 51 hours, Steven Universe, a franchise I've been obsessed with for over 5 years, will be over. There might be a few comics or another movie in a few years, but a consistent stream of content... it's gone.

At least my fanfiction can't be made non-canon anymore?!

Steven's whole character arc in the Future is escaping from his problems. He accepts that he has issues but closes up instead of seeking help. I'm not sure how they'll solve this whole thing but Steven needs to make the first step.

Also, that's just me, but I hope they won't just magically do away with all of his problems. Steven needs some time and that's OK.

Because I just watched it and I need to talk about it.

Spinel is low key the savior of homeworld. The diamonds only half listened to Steven but never really changed. Now with Spinel’s help they have actually realized how bad they were and are trying to atone for what they did knowing it’s probably not enough.

Steven shutting down a family at the beginning and end was really hard to watch.

I also can’t believe he went from man slaughter to actually trying to kill someone.

Going off the trailer, he's probably heading back to Earth. There are a few clips from the trailer that I doubt fit into I am My Monster or The Future (on account of Steven not being a Kaiju and still glowing Pink), so via process of elimination it has to be the episode after Homeworld Bound.

Based on the trailer, I think he ends up back on earth. Likely his home with that whole shot of everyone looking up, presumably at monster Steven. Plus we see his reflection in the tv at one point.

If he ends up anywhere before that then maybe the garden. If not Rose’s armory or even lions pocket world would make sense

To be fair, I don't think the first shattering was intentional. He was basically out of his mind with power, and probably didn't realize his attacks would do enough damage to shatter Jasper.

The second attempt, though...regardless of whether he was taking his rage out on White Diamond or himself, either way it was fully ****ing intentional. Steven. Needs. Help.

That would be an interesting switch around since he's basically in as much turmoil, anger and grief as Spinel was in during the course of the movie. The way they lash out at people with all those pent-up emotions differs in several ways, though.

Remember when Steven never considered shattering someone for even a second no matter how bad they were? How the mighty have fallen...

I agree regarding Spinel. And I'm also glad the writers made it a point to show that the Diamonds have actually been doing everything in their power (literally) to help Gems and undo the damage they've done to atone for their centuries of horrendous actions. It shows they really have changed for the better and may actually deserve the second chances they received. A lot of fans and critics alike complained about that, and I was kinda on their side. So yeah, I appreciated that detail.

Spinel's been doing so much good for Homeworld and it's clear she's really recovered mentally and emotionally, at least. I thought if any single person could help him recover from all this ****, it would be her, but sadly she doesn't seem to realize just how bad Steven has it right now. Maybe it's partly because she's more or less back to being her old-self, but I think the main reason is that, after everything Steven went through in that movie just to help her and get her to change for the better, and still come out with a content, positive-outlook in the end, she can't possibly imagine how someone like him has sunken to a point as low as she did previously. May she please come back for the grand finale.

The look on Jasper's face when Steven tells her off along with the Crystal Gems, though:

That was something else. We've practically never seen her looking this hurt or heartbroken before. This even puts her expression around the ending of Earthlings to shame. That's genuine sadness and pain, right there. And she feels it because she finally found someone she could respect and follow. Someone she could pledge allegiance to and aid now that the Diamonds' Era is over and the truth of Pink Diamond is out, because she's one of the only active Gems left who still believes in the old ways of Homeworld. And just when she thought she finally found her new purpose, Steven tells her she can't help him and just tells her to go do something better with her life for once. She was utterly rejected by the one person she thought had given her a purpose again, and it happened mere moments after she had seemingly found that purpose, no less.

For as quick as it was, this was a damn powerful scene.
