We've only had FE characters since Melee and only now Sakurai explains what all these games are about.

Though it's not what I wanted at least they didn't make Byleth just a sword fighters.

To those of you who desired Byleth, congrats, mates! Best to hide the chat, though, I'm too scared to crack it back open.

Still, it's weird that Rex was considered too new, and yet Byleth (whose game came out afterwards) is okay.

To be frank, Rex had a Mii costume, while Three Houses had virtually nothing until this point. The stars align in fairly funny ways, don't they?

Like three months ago I'd have been so salty about this as I'd never played an FE game before and was very much in the 'too many fighters' camp

... I still feel that i'd like other series to get some love, but I'm really digging my first run through of TH and so I can dig Byleth

Well it’s a good thing there’s more fighters then. Also like or Not 3 houses was ****ing massive, there’s gonna be salt but a lot of hype as well.

Honestly, considering the sheer scope and success of 3 Houses, I'd say Byleth is plenty justified. Plus, that little jab at the "Too Many Swordfighters" bit was deliciously cathartic... and yet, they still look so cool!

Over all, I'm happy with how the fighters pass turned out. I think all the character choices are great.

You said it. B&K alone justify pretty much everybody else for me (not that I had a problem with them, mind you, I actually adore everybody we've gotten so far, especially the Hero).

This does remind me that I should play through one of the other routes of Fire Emblem: Three Houses. I've already played through Edelgard's route, so I think I'll try Claude's route next. (from what I've seen of Dimitri in Edelgard's route, he doesn't interest me)
