If HA is shielded, the follow up with an air attack or dodge. So long as it makes contact with something (opponent, shield, item, or stage) it can be followed up with something else. =/
If it's spot-dodged, then oh well. There's a reason the spring jump is so high.

HINT: Don't use your double jump before performing a HA.
Buuuut that should fall under the no-duh factor, now shouldn't it?

I've used a HA on an Ike once. He shielded it, and proceeded to hit me with an usmash. It was very loltastic.

The lag on the HA is no good, no matter what it hits or doesn't hit. If it hits an opponent, it's ok, because, well, that's the point. If it hits a shield, yeah you can attack, air dodge, or spring jump out of it, but the lag still exists and your opponent can easily punish you for using such a loltastic attack.

everything we hve involves risk lol XD ^^, cept springs XD ^^
Lies and slander. Side Taunt is never risky. It's sure to provide steak and awesome.

/sillyness

Even the spring is a risk. Landing can be a problem if your opponent is on to you, and let us not forget about grab releasing into a gimp

Then STOP IT! :p
And who punishes with F-smash in brawl? o_O

:093:
All my friends. So that, combined with good DI, is the reason they can't kill me. lol

I heard that bowser has the greatest punishment F-smash, along with D3 and Ike.
/Sarcasm
But seriously HA can be used as a good surprise move to throw off an opponents timing, but nothing more and not too often.
Also who does punish Spring > Dair spam with a F-Smash? Everyone knows grabs/ Utilts (lol snake) is where it is at.

Even if you cancel the momentum of a D-air you can still get punished because if you try and air dodge you will hit the ground and the dodge will ether cancel or shield during that time someone could easily Fsmash you. Terios can act as my back up on this one because sees seen first hand what i'm talking about. Also also sure you can DI good but if your at a very high hit percentage even DI will not save you. All i'm saying is up-B Dair is good but if you don't know were and when to use it your going to get punished for it. Also I've seen plenty of ppl who have punished with F-smash. Especially with sonic seeing its ONE of his main killing moves.

Just because I land a lot of Homing Attacks on Wi-Fi does not mean that even if I had skill of that even greater than M2K would I ever have the same success with people offline unless they didn't have thumbs and/or 1/2 a brain KC.

It's a completely different ballpark.

I know but there is still a possibility that you could do such a move to someone if they aren't expecting it. Sure wi-fi and offline are totally different but When and were you hit someone with such a move isn't. Also if you could have alot of skill offline wouldn't you at least make an effort to try such a move on someone offline just to see if such a thing is possible? All i'm saying is trying this technique isn't such a bad idea.

:093:
Lucario, Ike, Bowser, GnW, DK, Ganondorf, Link, Wolf, Kirby, Wario, Lucas, Ness...

Basically anyone with a Fsmash worth using can use theirs to punish.

Especially Lucario. Landing frames ftw.

yeah you can use spring to dair and then get fsmashed while landing i know this because I've done it many many times.
wi-fi -_-

:093:
I don't really see the argument here lol.

People autopilot spring>d-air and get f-smashed/intercepted online or offline.

x.x;

lol i actually played a mm against someone and i grab gimped his spring>D-air, grabbing him out of his D-air on-stage.

._.;

I do :[

that's how I get kills, lol.
