Snapback issue with my new controller

Hey guys this is my first time ever using smashboards so I appologize if I am posting this in the wrong spot or if it was already brought up a bunch of times.

I just got a Mario controller and its super sick but the issue is that when laser with Falco, sometimes I shoot backwards, which I discovered is due to snap back. I've never had this issue with my other controllers but this Mario controller is super cool and I want to use it.

How do I fix this and is there someone I could pay to fix it if it is a lot of work?
