Haha... I'm really surprised that I got much further in brawl than in melee... even though I don't have brawl and practically never play it, while I've played melee pretty seriously for a long time.
Kinda shows how much skill brawl takes...
Or maybe it's just that brawl is based more on situation-to-situation mindgames and being able to anticipate the escaping moves at all times, which I use a lot in melee. Aside from that brawl is based on, of course, the top characters performing infinites and stalls against the less fortunate characters =)
Oh nvm, brawl has its charm.

I played Brawl the two first weeks I had it(from 1st february), and then I didn't play it almost at all, cuz the game bored me to death. I played it in a few Melee tourneys with Brawl as side-events though, just because I thought I didn't have anything better to do. On SR4 I got ****ing 3rd place by not playing the game, and won against players who play Brawl all the time. It just tells how bad tournament game this is. I hate it, and this was my last time competing in a Brawl-tourney. I haven't been more bored by playing a game before.

Also I don't think it's fair to say that it's a bad tourney game just because you got 3rd w/out practicing.
Brawl's skillset is basically purely prediction + manipulation + mindgaems!!11! so that's why you won, if you're good at that then you win. However, it's a bad game because it's overly defensive, based on x data regarding shieldstun, y data about MK, etc. Those are assertions that are more easy to believe

Awesome tourney, don't know how to thank Tonberry enough for organizing this! I met many new people there and played variety of challenging matches, it couldn't be better!


Hack: Weird Marth-dittos we had, 4-stocking each other by turns xD. I guess the luck was on my side at the bracket matches. Thanks for supporting and guiding me throughout the tourney, you rock man!

Stormblast: Had many good matches with you, we were pretty even I think. Also nice team we had, though like you said, should have focused more on teamplay than ourselves(I sucked hard in couple team-matches xD). But in any case, it was very nice to meet you.^^

Armada: God! You not just beat me, you destroyed me in our matches *_*. It was so cool to play against so good player, definitely should have played more against you.

IVP: Ihan pelästyin kun joku alkoi vieressä yht'äkkiä puhumaan suomea, en edes muistanut että AJP:lla oli veli xD. Pelasit kyllä tosi hyvin. Sori kun en jaksanut pelata uudestaan siinä kun tulit kysymään; oli 5 pitkää jigglypuff matsia takana niin oli pakko pitää tauko *_*.

Smash Alex: Gratz for that neat comeback you made against me, you earned the victory. Let's play more next time ^_^.

Ying: Your tech skill was very imposing. Had many fine matches, and you beat me in pools, nicely played pal!

AskeLink: I think your Falco was your best character. Very cool matches againts you.

French Guys: Played some matches against you and they were all fun. See you next time.

Stockholm-Eidsvoll roadtrip took something like 7,5h. Turku-Stockholm took maybe 11h with the ferry. Of course you have to double both of those trips because we came all the way back too!! Then you'd have to add some of the traveling we had to do in Finland in order to get to Turku. I traveled the least of us and I still had to travel for 3h+3h. I could do it all over again if we had more drivers in the car. (**** you, Peki!)

Ache: Jiggs IS gay, there's no way of denying it XD seriously, sorry for playing Puff, I'll never use that whoreball in singles again. When you gimp someone - sure it feels good - but you really don't feel like you've earned to win. When you lose, you get the feeling it serves you right for playing such a lame character. So no, never again (in teams and friendlies perhaps though =D ). Kirby is so much more fun!
