MLG World Finals 2015 occurred during the later half of this month. With the short notice, however, many of the top competition was absent, leaving Hungrybox to take 1st above Mew2King. Even with these results, however, the Top 16 of Melee did not change. Talk about consistency! The few changes came from Hax and Hugs moving up a spot, and Ice and KirbyKaze moving down.

Project M has had a healthy dose of brackets throughout the month; however, no real major events occurred. As a result, the Top 10 of Project M did not change; every spot remains held by their previous owner. However, a few changes are outside of the Top 10; Hungrybox, Hero Of Time, Lucky, DrinkingFood and Jeapie moved up once from their previous spots, while Ripple, Seagull Joe, and Oro moved down.

This month generally had a lack of Brawl events. With only a handful of events in the system, the changes come from older events being removed. This resulted in everything but the Top 3 changing: ESAM, Mew2King, Seagull Joe and Toronto Joe moved up, while Ally, Salem and Vinnie moved down.

Smash 64's brackets, much like Brawl, were generally few and far between. The last major event came from Super Smash Con, which had it's events covered in the last update. The only change in Top 10 that came from clubbadubba now in 11th, and Dext3rM. now in the Top 10. Other changes include Mr Bushido at 12th, lord narwhal now at 13th, and The Star King now moving down to 14th.

On the Smash 4 side, despite the events of MLG World Finals 2015, the Smash 4 Top 10 did not change at all. However, outside of the Top 10, a few changes did occur; Vinnie moved to 12th, DKwill fell to 14th, and Abadango rose to 15th, to name a few.

:pikachu64::pikachu64:Closing Statements:pikachu64::pikachu64:

It's been quite the journey. With each new update of the Rankings System, starting with the new administration earlier this year, the database has evolved and improved. It might get to the point where many wonder if the top spots will just stay the same for quite a while. However, much like the metagame, it's always evolving and changing. This last month showed that, even with MLG World Finals, consistency can sometimes occur. What new features will the Rankings System see next? Perhaps there will be big shake-ups on the way with 3 big tournaments this month? Time will give us the answer.

For more information regarding the Rankings System, be sure to check out the Tournament Rankings sub-forum. Additionally, Rankings Staff positions are also open. If you have always wanted a chance to give back to the community this is a perfect opportunity! For more information on requirements and the process check out the Ranking Moderator Listing and Application Thread.

The Smashboards Rankings Staff has worked hard to bring you this update. Be sure to follow them on Twitter, and use #SBRanks when referring to the new system!

How can M2K be ranked 5 on a global Sm4sh ranking. Stop being Jason fanboys already!

And FOW!? He hasn't done anything post EVO c'mon <_>

Wait... M2K is not top5 only in Smash Bros 64 ?
Looks like my favorite smash player is really the best smash player.

(Also , this rankings are about winning tourneys.
ESAM probably would destroy M2K in a set, but that doesn't matter.
M2K have more points, probably because win tourneys from the MVG and more locals.That's something too.)

Lol they've fought multiple sets in Brawl and PM, usually with M2K winning. Smash 4 does have possibly the strongest incarnation of Pikachu, though. So I guess it'd be harder for him. But he's done it before, even without Meta Knight. Lol

You also have to remember that M2K regularly spars with Axe, and though different games yes, doesn't mean the strategies will require that much of a change lol

EDIT: Don't forget, M2K only plays Sheik in melee and he's the best Sheik in that game. I imagine if he picked her up in Smash 4, he'd be devastating.
