Submit an echo fighter for Link!

Submit a stage for Link with 4 songs!

Link spirit submissions are open

BTW, if you didn't see my status from a bit ago, I will allow any gaming content from any studio involved in Smash - so if you want to submit an Undertale stage for Ness or MetalGreymon as Charizard's echo, feel free to!

Hero's Shade

This edgy boy would revert to a lot of the abilities of the previous Links, and would be a little heavier to contrast the lighter kid Links.

Hero's Respite

Rendered in HD, this stage is based on the title screen of Zelda 2. Stars light up the sky, you can occasionally catch a shooting star (or is that a fairy?). The stage's layout is taken from Melee Yoshi Adventure, though I have a feeling more of you will know it as Project M Sky Sanctuary (essentially hazoff Pokémon Stadium 2 with the soft platforms being sloped)

Title (NES) - Zelda 2
Title (FDS) - Zelda 2
Zelda 2 Title - SNES Burn-In Test Cartridge
Title - Zelda 2 (New Remix)

Link Spirit: Dark Link

  • Stage: Bridge of Eldin
  • Music: Temple Theme (Adventure of Link remix from Melee)
  • Opponent: Link (dark alt)
  • Rules: Hazards off. Stamina battle. ...That's it.
I'm not really well-versed in Zelda, so my contributions to Link will probably just be mainly spirits, but how do we NOT have a spirit for Dark Link already?

Differences from Link:
  • Uses Scimitar of the Seven and Daybreaker instead of Master Sword and Hylian Shield. Scimitar has a shorter range (but faster attacks) than the MS.
  • Smash attacks are lightning-infused, and can stun the opponent at full charge
  • Uses Golden Bow instead of the Hero's Bow. Longer draw, but better for sniping opponents.
  • For Down B, Urbosa summons a bomb arrow, and afterwards she can use the Golden Bow for a fast, explosive projectile. It can't be thrown normally, so it's either use your bow or get blasted. Pressing Down B again will put the bomb arrow away, defusing it.

Ostrheinsburg Chapel

Link's home stage in Soulcalibur II.

Song of the Hero AKA Link’s Theme (Soulcalibur II)
Thanatos (Soulcalibur IV)
Edge of the Soul (SoulEdge)
Ephemeral Dream (Soulcalibur III)

Link Stage: Dungeon

This stage uses NES graphics and is just a standard stage without any special gimmick or anything of the like. I just think it'd look neat.

Music
This is actually really close to the stage submission I had planned - I could probably reuse the layout I made for it in the stage layout job if it wins.

Bomberman (Act Zero)
Novice

Stage: Shadow Moses Island
Opponent: Metal Link
Song: Yell Dead Cell
Rules: Foe favours down special, Smart Bombs spawn often

(I could probably save this for Snake, but I like the idea of it being somewhat compimentary to regular Bomberman's Spirit, plus I feel Link's sword makes a good parallel to Act Zero Bomberman's claws)

Link (When I Grow Up)
Novice

Stage: Omega Pilotwings
Opponent: Link (Skyloft tunic)
Ally: invisible Green Inkling
Song: Flat Zone 2
Rules: Food will spawn in batch, Inkling favours neutral special, defeat Link to win

Fierce Diety Link

Would probably fit best with this Link due to more similar model. Would be slower but more powerful.

Is Hyrule Warriors elgible for a stage & music? Koei Tecmo does co-own Fatal Frame (assist & spirits). If so.

Lost Woods

Picture it like Tortimer Island but with walkoff edges instead of water & tree placement can change mid battle after a cloud of fog temporarily covers the stage.

Songs (all from age of calamity)
Searching the Lost Woods
Great Deku Tree
Astor, Profit of Doom
Battle of Hyrule Field

I don’t see why Hyrule Warriors wouldn’t be fine, being a Nintendo IP and all.

Taking the layout here from a Smash Crusade mod. The stage takes place in front of the Wind Fish’s egg. Sometimes, you get a variant of the stage with a starry, mystical background as the egg has hatched and the Wind Fish himself watches over the match…
  1. Main Theme - Link’s Awakening (Switch)
  2. Boss Theme - Link’s Awakening (Switch)
  3. Ballad of the Wind Fish (Remix)
  4. Dancing Dragon Dungeon (Remix)

Submit an extra move for Link!

Submit an Assist Trophy function for Link!

Submit a Master Spirit who could sell vehicles!

Please submit a replacement Master Spirit for Funky Kong and one song for their shop (which you can reuse for the fight if you want) - the shop song can be one already on the soundtrack or a new song. This Master Spirit will sell vehicle spirits as Funky did in SSBU. They can be a character who already exists as a regular spirit - the battle isn't needed if they already exist as a Spirit in Smash or this thread, but is if they don't have a spirit yet. This Spirit will be voted on and doesn't need to include Link. This will disconfirm them for an echo role.

Link Back Special: Stasis

This move activates extremely quickly and doesn't have a ton of endlag, but does have a lengthy cooldown time (Stasis icon is by his portrait where it shows when he can use it again). When Stasis is enacted, all of Link's currently active projectiles are frozen in place for a few seconds, but keep all of their hitboxes. So for example, Link could throw his boomerang out, use Stasis, and then an opponent could run into the boomerang and get hit with whatever damage/knockback the boomerang would've dealt before it entered Stasis.

Link AT function
Link appears, performing the initial dive of his shield surf (on top of the Traveler's Shield rather than the Hylian Shield). Functionally, it's pretty similar to my Long Jump proposition from earlier, however Link has much more of a chance of hitting the opponent again and again after bouncing off of them. After four times, Link puts his shield away and paraglides offscreen.

Funky Replacement: Green Biker Dude (Mega Man series)

Shop Song: Password (Mega Man X2)
Opponents: Green :ultwario: and :ultmegaman:
Conditions: Defeat the main fighter (:ultwario:) to win. :ultwario: perfers side specials. :ultmegaman: perfers dash attacks. Bob-ombs spawn commonly.

New Link Special: Arrow Swap (Back Special)
This move is pretty straightforward - It changes Link's arrows from the standard arrows to the Ice Arrows. These arrows take a bit of a hit in damage and range, but deal more hitstun and have a chance to freeze opponents on contact. Of course, you can tap back special again to swap back to the standard arrows, but both have their uses!
