Land Item: Thief Disguise

Appears on the ground as just the hat. When you pick it up, it's a transformation item that puts you in the Thief Disguise. If you're not currently holding an item in your hand, you can touch any opponent to steal their item. This even works if they are glowing from having a Final Smash at the ready, letting you gain your Final Smash!

Unfortunately, I don't think I can approve this one since the Purple Wind is already an alt costume - great idea though!

My bad, here’s my backup submission.
Wario Land item: Invisibility Potion

You drink it in an unskippable animation, not unlike Young Link’s down taunt in Ultimate. Afterwards, your character is invisible! Completely. Not a single thing you do, other than interacting with other players, will reveal your current location. Definitely an item with its upsides and downsides. (However, you can also throw it at a grounded opponent to force them to take the potion, or just get rid of it entirely by tossing it offstage.

Please vote here for a Wario Land item

Submit Undodog & Yamamura's differences from Duck Hunt!

Please submit the differences between Undodog & Yamamura and Duck Hunt. I'll allow some relatively major changes here. I'll also allow WarioWare DIY references alongside the obvious Mario Maker, Mario Artist, and Mario Paint. Please do not specify Final Smashes or animations.

Submit Undodog & Yamamura's alternate costumes!

Please submit either 8 or 16 alt costumes for Undodog & Yamamura

Submit taunts and victory animations for the Baby Bros!

Please submit 4 taunts and/or 4 victory animations for the Baby Bros.

  1. For the Smash attacks, music is made with Mario Paint's music maker symbols - instead of being scared, the duo dance along. Functionally the same.
  2. Side B is the Rocket. Undodog throws a tiny undo rocket with other, 16-bit, Undodogs serving as the reticle. Functions the same as the clay pigeon with one change: if it lands, it makes an extremely powerful explosion, while if it's undone with the Undodogs it will make a smaller explosion good for starting combos
  3. Down B features King Watinga, who comes in multiple colours and shoots flies out his mouth. The flies are multihit, but the final fly will send a foe flying the same way the Wild Gunman's shot would.
  4. Neutral B has been changed to a paint bucket. It functions the same, with a cursor as a reticle

  1. Default - collar has soft edges
  2. Grey fur, black collar, white Yamamura (based on his appearence in Mario Paint when not selected) - collar has sharp edges
  3. Dalmatian, red collar, orange and yellow Yamamura - collar has soft edges
  4. Bernese Mountain Dog, red collar, purple and cyan Yamamura - collar has sharp edges
  5. Border collie, blue collar, brown and green Yamamura - collar has soft edges
  6. Beagle, purple collar, blue and brown Yamamura - collar has sharp edges
  7. Crudely drawn
  8. "Colouring page" (Crudely drawn with green fur; blue collar; and pink Yamamura)

Mario Maker Duo Changes:
  • Any move involving the Zapper’s crosshairs is replaced by the cursor from Mario Paint. For example, instead of the Zapper shooting thrice for U&Y’s forward smash, the cursor clicks thrice.
  • Trick Shot is replaced by Notes, where U&Y toss out the (what else?) dog note. The move otherwise acts the same, with each consecutive “click” on the note causing it to switch to another and play its respective sound.
  • The Clay Shooting is replaced with the Rocket, which is pretty much what Wario Wario Wario already submitted. Got sniped. :(
  • The Wild Gunmen have been replaced by a Bill Blaster, which actually can shoot out one of multiple types of ammo: Standard Bullet Bills (which fly straight forwards), Bulls-Eye Bills (which home in on opponents), Green Shells, or Bob-Ombs.

Baby Bro Taunts
  • Up: The babies raise their hammers in the air.
  • Left: The babies do a little dance, similar to their awards animations from Mario Kart Wii.
  • Right: The babies pull out a cookie and eat it.
  • Down: The babies sit down and begin crying. It's just as annoying as it sounds.
Baby Bro Victories
  • A small bundle is dropped onto the ground, with the babies popping out of it to wave goodbye.
  • One of the babies is seen crying in a bubble, with the other arriving to pop it before the two pose.
  • The babies are seen taking a nap. Shhhh!
  • The babies put together a little trophy made out of toy blocks before clapping.

My Gooigi, Geno, and Bowser Jr. adventures win by default

Submit a stage based on a single Mario Party minigame!

Please submit a stage based on the Mario Party series - this will not be a composite stage or have a minigame swapping gimmick like WarioWare, but rather will be centred around a single minigame.

Submit an item that grants a new mobility option!

Please submit an item that grants a new way to traverse the stage - like the Super Leaf, the newly added Dash Pepper and Syrup's Lamp, or the currently absent Rocket Belt. This is a pretty vague discriptor so try to make something wild!

Submit music for Boxing Ring!

Please submit 4 music tracks for Boxing Ring. You are allowed one Punch-Out!! series song but don't necessarily have to use it. You may be interested in moving over songs from Gangplank Galleon.

Minigame Stage: Mushroom Mix-Up (Mario Party)

This stage consists of a few mushroom platforms, with water at the bottom of the stage. Occasionally, a few of the mushrooms will shake for a few seconds before retracting into the water for a short time. During that time, though, the stage essentially becomes king of the hill - After all, the only safe ground is whatever platforms remain!

Mobility Item: Warp Block (Mario Party)

Pick one of these up, and you'll swap spots with a random opponent! Will this be to your benefit or put yourself in a sticky situation? Only one way to find out!

Boxing Ring Music
  1. Army Dillo - Donkey Kong 64
  2. Mad Jack (New Remix) - Donkey Kong 64
  3. K. Rool Duel - Donkey Kong 64
  4. Donkey Kong - Punch-Out!! (2009)

Boxing Ring
Crocodile Cacophony (Ultimate)
K. Rool Battle (Donkey Kong 64)
Mad Jack
Wizpig Race

Cacophony on Galleon is swapped for Gangplank Galleon (New Remix)

Item: Cape Feather
Gives you a Brawl glide and glide-spin attack.

Mario Party: Burnstile

This stage has two platforms - the crater is in the background. A spiky stick spins around from the crater and will knock back anyone hit by it very far. The lava below also deals damage and knockback - try not to get caught between a rock and and a hot place! The stick's speed increases and decreases randomly, and it will sometimes switch directions.

Mario Party Stage:
1649700319505.png

Snow Way Out
I really don't feel like this is very likely to win, but I just had to rep the Mario Party I grew up with, and this one was really the only minigame that could make a good stage. The fighters will stand on the roof, and despite not being a blast zone, you will be instantly KO'd if you touch the snowy ground (although it has a unique animation where you'll freeze first before exploding as if you died in a Stamina match). A randomly selected playable character from Mario Party 8 (it can be any of them, but it will never be a character who's participating in the current match) will pilot the snowball shooting machine, arriving and leaving in regular intervals. They'll fire snowballs at the roof, trying to aim for the fighters. If someone is hit with a snowball, they'll be frozen, which in this case does not include any knockback like Smash's regular freezing effects. If a snowball misses, it will instead hit the roof and create a temporary snow patch that makes characters slide. This can be used for pseudo-wavedashing, but beware. You are 75% more likely to trip and fall if you start to dash while standing on one of these patches!

Thiss would be a vertical scrolling stage where you are on a flat platform that goes up a giant fence, you can climb up the fence like a ladder. On the Wall there are the rotating spikes and the Koopa Kids appear behind the wall and shoot a flamethrower through the fence in an attempt to damage the players.

  1. Burnstile
  2. Mushroom Mix-Up

Intros:
  1. A crudely-built crate with the Kremling flag on it is opened, revealing a cramped and barrel-shaped K. Rool inside.
  2. Daisy falls from the sky and punches the ground, her ball forms from plasma energy
  3. Bowser Jr. hops out of an M painting while the clown car forms from paint goop.
  4. One of Bowser's Castles appears (basically a 3D rendition of the 8-bit castle), Bowser tears it down with his claws from inside and burns the debris
  5. Peach steps out of a carriage, assisted by the same loyal Toad in her B and throws

Jingles
  1. This portion of Ashley's theme in an instrumental style, beginning rather sweet but gaining intensity upon the lyric "and if you say no, you're toast!"
  2. Undodog gets an orchestration of SMW stage clear
  3. Baby Bros., Baby Princesses and the Stork all get an orchestrated rendition of this portion of Story Music Box, with a similar flourish to Yoshi's canon victory theme
  4. Waluigi gets Wario's old victory theme from Brawl
  5. Funky shares Diddy's boombox victory theme
  6. TT and Drumstick have a portion from TT's Theme, starting at the timestamp and ending at 0:16
  7. Timber and most of the other racers share the DKR title theme, At 0:24 it changes to a remix of the song's final flourish
  8. Tiny's is a silly big band swing rendition of Dixie's stage clear.
  9. Dixie has her stage clear from DKC2

1. Snow Way Out
2. Mushroom Mix-Up

Entrances:
  1. Bowser flies onto the stage in the Koopa Clown Car, just like in Smash Remix.
  2. Diddy Kong's stage entrance is the same as before, only his barrel has a "DD" on it like in Tropical Freeze.
  3. King K. Rool is lowered down to the stage on a wire, while he waves his arms cheering for himself.
  4. If Wario is in his overalls or Purple Wind costume, he'll fall out of a portal just like in Wario Land 4. Otherwise, he keeps his old entrance.

Victory Themes:
  1. Captain Toad gets the last few notes of the Toad Brigade theme. 0:35-0:40
  2. Mama & Tuxie get Mario 64's Power Star jingle. For some reason this was the only video I could find
  3. Undodog & Yamamura get part of the Super Mario Maker theme. 0:7-0:13
  4. Gooigi gets a portion of the Luigi's Mansion theme. Ideally, I'd like to give this to Luigi himself as well. Should be obvious which part
  5. Dixie Kong of course gets her level clear music from DKC2. Only the first one is necessary...
  6. Funky Kong gets a portion of Funky the Main Monkey. 0:4-0:9
  7. Timber gets Diddy Kong Racing's "race clear" jingle (which I couldn't find for some reason, which is followed by the Lobby music replacing the regular results music. Results!
  8. Waluigi gets a portion of Waluigi Pinball. From SSF2
  9. Ashley & Red obviously get part of Ashley's Song. 0:3-0:10
  10. Penny gets a portion of her own theme. 1:18-1:29
  11. Geno gets a remix of the victory fanfares from Super Mario RPG. Should be obvious
  12. Fawful & Cackletta get a rendition of Fawful, Cackletta. 0:5-0:11

Sorry for the delay on these!

Stage Voting
  1. Burnstile
  2. Mushroom Mix-Up
Intro Animations
The only idea I have that wasn't submitted already is for Donkey Kong: Rather than busting out of a DK Barrel, he leaps onto the stage before beating his chest and hollering, mimicking his stage intro from Donkey Kong Country Returns and Tropical Freeze.

Victory Themes
For characters I didn't list, assume that someone else already submitted an idea I really like.

Please vote here for victories:

My Baby Bros, Baby Princesses and Stork subs win by default, and Torgo's Gooigi; Fawful and Penny submissions, and FazDude's Goomba, as does me and Torgo's shared Dixie submission.

Please vote here for entries:

Note that Wario's entrance will not vary. If Torgo's portal wins, all cosumes will come out of the portal. Torgo's change to Diddy has been implimented by default. Any character not mentioned here will have their canon intros. My Daisy wins by default.

Submit music for Cheese Land!

Please submit music for Cheese Land. You may want to move over music from Rainbow Road.

Submit an Animal Buddy as an ally contact!

Please submit an Ally Contact of an Animal Buddy from the Donkey Kong Country series! Note that because Rambi is in Diddy Kong's Final Smash, he won't be elegible. Otherwise everyone on this article is allowed, including Ram Bunkshus.

Submit a prompt for two stages on Friday!
Please submit a prompt for stages on Friday - this will allow two submissions per person and will result in two stages being added, so find something with potential for visual and layout/hazard variety! Because I'm doing the prompts anyway, I won't partake in this job.

Submit backgrounds and hazards for Stage Builder!

Ultimate's stage builder is back! While terrain will be getting a revamp (textures and colours being selected seperately with unlimited colours), we will be adding new hazards alongside the existing set, and an new set of backgrounds alongside the returning Luigi's Mansion, Rainbow Cruise, Wrecking Crew, and Mario Galaxy backgrounds. There will be up to 9 new hazards and up to 12 new backgrounds, with voting only being done if we get higher than that cap. You can submit 2 new hazards and 4 new backgrounds - backgrounds have to be from the existing stages. Please refer to the front page.

Animal Buddy submission:
Squawks the Parrot

Squawks the Parrot is one of Most recurring Animal Buddies from DK games and he is a green parrot that can grab Kongs, grab items and find secrets in the levels.

When summoned, he could assist player by picking up items that lay on the stage and pass to summoner or basically steal someone's item that was held by anyone.
By occasion, he could pick you up for recovery like in DKC2.

He actually flies around you and also follows you as an Assist.

Rainbow Road SNES is changed on Rainbow Road to Rainbow Road (F-Zero X)

I just realised that Mama & Tuxie did get multiple subs and thus a vote for them has been added to the post

Hazards:
Healing Field - walk in it to be healed
?/Brick Block - hit it to get an item. Spawns randomly and be either like MK Melee blocks

Backgrounds:
Bramble Blast
Cap Kingdom
Super Happy Tree
Rice Beach

Buddy: Tawks

Tawks is the anti-Mr. Resetti, he'll sit down and compliment all the fighters - good to get some encouragement!

Helper Monkeys

From DK Jungle Beat

Helper Monkeys would spawn as a group and would either play musical instruments that temporarily stun enemies close to them or run around taking items and giving them to the summoner

Clapper the Seal
1649912680576.png

Clapper has two possible uses depending on the stage. If Clapper is summoned on a stage with water where characters can swim, he will spit on it and freeze it, thus turning the water solid so nobody can swim anymore until he leaves. If there is no water, Clapper will instead create a layer of water underneath the stage for characters to swim in. This water will always be low enough that platforms will be dry above it. On stages where there are absolutely no bottom blast zones available, Clapper cannot be summoned.

Cheese Land Music:

GBA Cheese Land - Mario Kart 8
N64 Kalamari Desert - Mario Kart Tour
Mushroom Gorge - Mario Kart Wii
Shy Guy Bazaar - Mario Kart 7

Ally Contact Animal Buddy:

Ellie the Elephant

Ellie will walk around the stage (sometimes running) and try to use her suction trunk to grab opponents, walk a small distance, and then throw them. Like with many grabs, players can mash to try and break free.

Stage Prompt:

A stage from a game where Mario crossed over/teamed up with another franchise. Like Mario + Rabbids or Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games.

Backgrounds and Hazards for Stage Builder:

Backgrounds:

Mario Zone
Lost Kingdom
Cheese Land
Minecart Tunnel Throwdown

Hazards:

Lord Frederick Switches:

- The switches from Tropical Freeze that you activate in that game by pulling a lever. This time, you activate them by attacking them and they would cause the fruit slicing blades from Fruity Factory to temporarily appear at the bottom blast zone. They function like the lava in Brinstar. Launching a player up when they touch it but not dealing a KO until very high percents. Probably 250% at minimum.

Oil Drums:

- Like the ones found in the good old classic Donkey Kong from 1981. In that game, when a barrel hit the oil drum, it would spawn a sentient fireball to chase Mario down. Same idea here. When an item or projectile hits the oil drum, said item or projectile is burned away and a sentient fireball appears to chase down fighters until it disappears. Unlike in Donkey Kong where you could defeat them with a hammer, they are unable to be damaged here.

Hoofer

Basically how you'd imagine Rambi would act if he were eligible for this job. Hoofer runs around and tries to ram into opponents, and those who summoned him can also ride on his back to control him like how the Wario Bike or the Penny Bike function - however, Hoofer is very fast, so intentionally landing on him is easier said than done.

Hazards for Stage Builder
Mushroom Platform
- red platform similar to a Mushroom Gorge mushroom, the height can be adjusted and it will bounce up opponents. Like a Mario Maker item, you can also change the effect by shaking it (or by pressing L/R with a controller) - green ones are just platforms with slight humps in the middle, and blue ones force you to use your Up B. None of them can be fallen through, and the stem can be adjusted to allow or deny opponents to pass through it.
Goal Zone - line that can act as a blast zone, you can use it for sports stages like Smashketball and Smash Soccer. You can also assign certain point values (if you wanna make something like pinball or American Football), you can change the color of the Goal Zone, and you can make it invisible (as well as basic things like adjusting the width, length, and angle).

Backgrounds
Boxing Ring
Christmas Village
Star Road
Wrong Warp

Prompt: Submit a stage from Mario Galaxy 1 or 2
