The year is 2021, in a universe different from ours...

Masahiro Sakurai is a game developer known for making the Kirby series, and nothing really else. He’s made a few small projects but they’ve never really gotten popular. So, it surprised everyone when three years ago Sakurai announced he would stop helping with development of the Kirby series after Star Allies! So... what’s his next project?

Well, Sakurai wants to use his company Sora Ltd. to make the ultimate gaming crossover, the platform fighting game Super Smash Bros! And he wants to do it without the help of Nintendo at all, except for some of their characters! Sakurai will have to use his many connections in the gaming industry to get the licenses for characters new, old, popular, obscure, and most of all exciting to use for this game. But the only question is... which characters?

Well that’s what we’re here for! We’re gonna make a thread for not only the characters but stages, items, alts, and maybe even music! Since this is an alternate universe, I need you to remember the #1 rule...
Forget everything you know about Smash Bros!

okay that’s not really true. You do need to remember how movesets, items and stages work, but other than that, forget about which characters got in and what their movesets were when on this thread because this is a 100% original smash bros where the concept of first and third party dosent exist! (non-videogame characters are still off the table though) Also while it’s certainly not as much as this universe’s smash bros, I still imagine there would be quite a bit of Nintendo characters, although it wouldn’t even be a quarter of the roster unless people here really want it to.

So, does this sound like an interesting universe? Well if it does stay tuned and we’ll speculate on the completely original Super Smash Bros! Job #1 will be posted shortly!

Mario ( Wario Wario Wario Wario Wario Wario ):
Job #8

Mario is still a standard beginner "shoto" fighter. However, he has a better mobility and worse defense, though his attack power is the same as it's always been. he is more true to his games and does not bare his irate expression as seen in our world's Smash.

Neutral B: Super Star Swing: A command grab. You can only throw your foe backwards, but you can determine the strength of the throw by holding the joystick left or right

Up B: Spin Jump - an attacking recovery move than can reflect projectiles. The height of this move is one of Mario's biggest weaknesses, but it's still relatively reliable (or in simple terms, better than SSBU Doc's up B)

Side B: Fireball - virtually the same, however Mario can now run while spawning fire balls and there's less cooldown at the expense of power.
Down B: Ground Pound - comparable to Yoshi's from our world

Mario's other moves are the same as SSBU with a few small exceptions:
Down tilt is a Raccoon tail swipe
Up air is an uppercut like the Super Jump Punch or up tilt
Side Smash is now a short range projectile with the Cannon Box.
Up throw has Mario throw the foe into a Super Launch Star
Forward throw now resembles Dr. Mario's back throw from SSBU
Down air is Dr. Mario's stomp from SSBU, which replaces Fair as Mario's only spike. Fair is not changed other than not spiking.

Mario's Final Smash would be Super Star Rush.

Mario turns invincible and dashes forwards. If the move connects, Mario will go into a cutscene where he runs across a 3D landscape made of 2D sprites from Super Mario Bros., Super Mario Bros. 2, Super Mario Bros. 3 and Super Mario World, knocking out enemies on the way. The foes caught in the move are knocked back so fast the non-controllable Mario has to chase them to give them a big kick.
Luigi ( AlRex AlRex ):
Neutral B: Poltergust 3000
Luigi is able to suck foes in with the Poltergust, but once he has them, it's functionally similar to Mario's, with him spitting them out of the Poltergust in either direction.

Side B: Thunder Ball
A thunder ball with elemental properties

Other than that, a lot of what Mario does in that moveset, Luigi does, as well, so it's mostly fine for him. I thought about making the Spin Jump a Flutter Jump, like in Super Mario Bros. 2, but it seemed like too much of a change and couldn't be done super effectively. You can just have stat differences like Luigi jumping higher, being slightly taller, etc.
Bowser ( Wario Wario Wario Wario Wario Wario ):
Bowser's gimmick is his aftertaste. When he hits with a fire-breath-based move some fire will remain in his mouth that will slightly strengthen his next fire breath move - however, the second blast of fire power does not give him an aftertaste and after that move is used there's a 12 second cooldown until he can get an aftertaste again, represented with a meter. If a move involves fire but not from the mouth, there's no aftertaste or use for aftertaste. Aftertaste cannot be stacked, but also doesn't expire. Aftertaste is not gained from failed hits, but is expired by them - however, the game does make exceptions for if he hits a stage hazard; item; AT; puppeteer fighter teammate; e.t.c. with his aftertaste - in which case it'll function as the move would with no aftertaste but also not taking away aftertaste.

Up B: Fire Propeller

Bowser propels himself with his fire breath like the above GIF, but vertically and as a blast of fire rather than a continuous blow - so not like the GIF at all really. Bowser himself does not hit, but the fire can spike. It doesn't go very far, but it's reliable enough. Aftertaste adds to the recovery distance.

Down B: Blue Bash

Bowser retracts into his shell and becomes blue - he then slams into the ground, once he lands the blue coating of his shell explodes and reveals the natural green within. A big blue explosion occurs with scutes coming every side - Bowser himself is actually the weak spot with the explosion being what he wants to hit with, though that's a little tricky with the very slight homing effect the move has. Only special with no aftertaste effects

B: Fire Ball/Bite

Bowser spurts a ball of fire from his mouth - it goes very far and is quite slow, but isn't that strong.

Side B: Flamethrower

Functions as it does in our world. Aftertaste increases range and makes it slower to run out.

Final Smash: Clown Colossus

Bowser hops in his clown car and flees off-stage - the stone clown car planet from Paper Mario rises the stage up into space as the camera zooms out, not catching up with the planet so the fighters can have a relatively seamless stage transformation. Now in control of a Koopaling airship, you can mess with the stage by moving it with the left stick and tilting it with the right. Stars; black holes; meteors; and supernovas appear for the fighters to avoid and you to lure them into. It should be noted the stage itself isn't carried by the Colossus, it's more of a very small Omega with only elements from the stage ripped off of it (so for example Green Hill might have a loop extracted, a capsized boat from N. Sanity Beach could be further stranded, or Kraid may be left homeless from the destruction of Brinstar Depths)
Donkey Kong ( Wario Wario Wario Wario Wario Wario ):
Neutral B: Uppercut

The same as giant punch, but an uppercut instead of a forwards punch. References the ending of DKC2

Down B: Headbutt

Same as DK's canon side B

Side B: Barrel Throw

A rolling projectile - when it falls off a platform it goes straight down, and should it land on a platform below it'll roll the opposite direction. Can be destroyed with melee attacks but not projectiles.

Up B: Arrow Barrel

The arrow barrel spins around in 8 directions, and when you press B again it'll shoot you in that direction, hurting anyone in your path. Because it spins, you can go straight down if you desire.
Link:
Neutral Special: Bow and Arrow
Shoots an arrow from his bow directly forward. Can be charged.

Side Special: Boomerang
Throws a boomerang forward which comes back to him after the throw.

Up Special: Spin Attack
Jumps upwards spinning his sword around in a cyclone

Down Special: Bombs
Pulls out a throwable bomb which explodes after a few seconds

Final Smash: Triforce Slash
Traps the opponent in a Triforce and then repeatedly slashed at them. He finishes with one large stab forward.
Pikachu:
Neutral Special: Thunder Jolt
Shoots a ball of electricity which travels on the ground

Side Special: Skull Bash
Charges then launches forward very quickly.

Up Special: Quick Attack
Zips upwards a few times

Down Special: Thunder
Calls down a bolt of lightning which strikes the area Pikachu is in and causes a small “explosion” of electricity around him.

Final Smash: Gigavolt Havoc (@AlRex):
Gigavolt_Havoc_(Ash's_Pikachu).png

Pikachu charges up a giant ball of electricity in front of itself before punching it forward, striking into the first foe in its path. In addition, it will also send out thinner strands of electrical energy, in multiple directions, that can deal slightly less damage to those near the electrical streams.
Samus ( Champion of Hyrule Champion of Hyrule ):
Neutral Special: Ice Beam

Samus fires a small blast of energy forward. If the move is charged up it’ll fire a much larger blast forward.

The move can’t actually freeze people, but if it’s charged it can occasionally make people move slower for a couple of seconds.

Side Special: Missiles
The side special pretty much works like it does in our universe, but there’s an extra part to the attack. If you charge it up it’ll become a Super Missile which will cause a fairly big explosion on impact. You can only have five super missiles per content.

The down special and up special are the same as they are in our universe.

Final Smash: Hyper Beam
For about six seconds the baby metroid will fly around the screen. If it attaches to anyone, it’ll do continuous damage to them and they’ll be stuck in place. Samus will then automatically shoot a huge, long yellow beam at them which does lots of damage on impact. The beam can sometimes hit other people if they’re in the way.

64A60FB5-DCDF-4A78-B404-C45BE2916D80.jpeg

Some other changes:
-She can crawl using her morph ball
-Her ledge attack has her go into a morph ball and roll forward to reference Metroid Fusion
-She shoots energy balls for her jab
-She has three jumps and her third jump has her flipping around like her up special to reference the space jump ability
Kirby:
Sonic ( Wario Wario Wario Wario Wario Wario ):
He can really move, he's got an attitude! Sonic is still the fastest fighter and still a precision based combo master, but it's not as easy for him to run away from a fight.

Sonic is as expressive as he was in Brawl, but has slightly shorter proportions akin to his Adventure 1 design - other than the proportions he mostly takes after the Colours-era design.

Sonic's aerials are the same as in our universe - however they have new effects: Fair and Bair have fire particles, Uair has electric particles, Dair has water particles, and Nair has an insta-sheild flash.

Sonic's forward tilt is now a roundhouse kick, but the forward tilt from our universe is now the third hit of his jab.

Sonic's dash attack is the kick, but he has an exclusive input only he (and possibly Tails? We'll decide when we get to his moveset) can use - a down dash which puts him in the roll from his Brawl dash. It can be activated by pressing a crouch input while running. The kick has effects that make it vaguely resemble the boost.

Up B: Spring

No changes here other than the spring staying longer once it lands.

Side B: Light Speed Dash

Sonic throws a ring projectile, and if he desires can press the button again to dash into it and anyone it may have hit.

Down B: Spin Dash/Drop Dash

Sonic can do the Spin Dash by pressing down B constantly on land, while he can do the Drop Dash by holding down B in the air. Drop Dash functions like the real Smash's Spin Dash move (single-hit) and Spin Dash functions like Spin Charge (multi-hit)

B: Homing Attack

Mostly the same as in SSBU, however Sonic now strikes a pose like PM and doesn't dash down if he doesn't lock on to anyone. Homing Attack has less endlag, with the pose being cancellable, which makes it a good combo starter.

His Final Smash is Super Sonic, no surprise there, but now Super Sonic is a transformation a la Wario Man, Giga Bowser, Giga Mac, and Mega Lucario circa Brawl/3DS/Wii U. Super Sonic can be damaged like PM's Wario Man and Giga Bowser however.
Tails ( Champion of Hyrule Champion of Hyrule ):
Neutral Special: Energy Ball

A pretty standard projectile. It flies kinda slow but does a lot of damage

Side Special: Triple Bomb

B0C2F1F4-EEC5-47F3-923B-885DF2B54D08.jpeg

Tails throws a bomb forward which makes a giant explosion on the ground, about the size of three Bob-omb explosions in our world all next to each other. He has to wait 5 seconds to use the move after doing it once

Up Special: Propeller Flight

He spins his two tails and flies upwards. The physics act pretty much exactly like it does in the classic sonic games.

Down Special: Napalm Bomb
(yes tails can canonically commit war crimes)

He throws the bomb forward which makes a small flame on the ground. It acts similar to Simon and Richter’s down special.

Final Smash: Sky Chase

Tails goes into his plane which he can fly around freely. He can’t fire missiles or anything but the plane does do a lot of damage and knockback if flown into someone.
Dr. Eggman ( Wario Wario Wario Wario Wario Wario ):
Eggman uses the Eggmobile as seen in Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing, just without the wheels of course. He also has six jumps (which will be relevant later)

B: Gattling Gun

The Gattling Gun used by the Egg Dragoon appears beneath the Eggmobile, it fires constantly, as gattling guns do, and is quite powerful - though it only causes flinching once per foe and use - meaning that foes can run right through the bullets once they've flinched once. The Gattling Gun can also overheat if overused, making Eggman dizzy.

Side B: Buzz Bomber

Eggman orders a Buzz Bomber to attack. Buzz Bomber then starts flying around the stage and occasionally closing in on Eggman's foe to fire a laser. If successfully disposed of, the Flicky inside will come back to attack Eggman - similar to if one of Olimar's Pikmin were planted on him

Down B: Rock Drill

Two drills come out of the Eggmobile, left and right side. They plant themselves into the ground meaning they have no attacking purpose of their own. They drill so hard that rock debris falls to the left and right of the stage, which can be used to gimp recoveries. This leaves Eggman vulnerable should the foe escape the debris, and if used on a walk-off stage or another stage with little off-stage space the debris can injure the bad doctor himself.

Up B: Fire Dispenser

This move has no recovery power, instead Eggman drops some fire down, and if it lands it will spread left and right over the platform it has landed on. Eggman himself can be damaged by this fire however so it's best to use it when high in the air.

Final Smash: Destructive Power

Eggman graps the Phantom Ruby, but Metal Sonic snatches it from him and dashes forwards. Getting hit by Metal Sonic triggers a cutscene where the characters who are hit are thrown into a seeming peaceful city before being crushed by a collapsing building as the camera pans up to reveal Metal Sonic Kai unleashing havoc on the burning town just like in Knuckles' Chaotix's infamously macabre bad ending.
Space Harrier ( tonygameman tonygameman ):
General Playstyle:
Harrier is a middle-heavyweight character due to his big laser cannon, but he can move fast on the ground (referencing how fast obstacles goes over in the series), has floaty jumps and good air mobility. His moveset focuses on zoning with his cannon's projectiles and close, powerful attacks such as his smashes and Side Special.

Much like Tails, NiGHTS and his fellow Fantasy Zoner, Opa-Opa in Battle of AGES. Harrier is able to air-dash in four directions and has a longer traveling distance thanks to his laser cannon's flight capabilities.

Neutral Attacks:
  • Jab Combo: Harrier simply shoots a energy projectile from his cannon. This move can be spammed by holding the button.
  • Forward/Back Tilt: Harrier can move around while shooting with his laser cannon and even move backwards. Same as Jab Combo, Mega Man's Side Tilt and Banjo's Breegull Blaster, but weaker.
  • Up Tilt: Harrier swings his cannon upwards in an arc.
  • Down Tilt: While crouching, Harrier slightly shoots directly in-front of him, causing a small explosion. Similar to Samus's.
  • Dash Attack: Harrier dashes forward with a headbutt by using his laser cannon.
Smash Attacks:
  • Side Smash: Harrier charges up his cannon and then shoots a short-ranged plasma ring projectile, which is based on one of the enemies.
  • Up Smash: Harrier raises his cannon upwards and then releases five powerful flame bursts, akin to Samus'.
  • Down Smash: Harrier summons two Idas at both sides of himself, and they then slams down onto the ground at the same time. Meteor-smashes aerial opponents.
Air Attacks:
  • Neutral Air: Same as Jab Combo. Harrier can slightly glide on the air like Peach, though it only applies here.
  • Forward Air: Harrier swings his cannon vertically downwards in-front of him. Acts as a meteor-smash.
  • Back Air: Harrier uses his cannon's boost to back-fire behind him, propeling himself forwards a bit.
  • Up Air: Harrier aims his cannon upwards and unleashes a series of energy bursts above him in a quick succession. Same as Mii Gunner's.
  • Down Air: Harrier performs 4 subsequent stomps below himself. Similar to Snake's, but has less range.
Grab/Throws:
  • Grab/Pummel: Harrier grabs an opponent with one hand and then attacks them with a headbutt.
  • Forward Throw: Harrier drags an opponent across the ground a short distance as he flies with his cannon, before throwing them forward. Same as Ridley's Side Special (Space Pirate Rush).
  • Back Throw: Harrier throws an opponent backwards and then shoots a laser beam to send them flying away further.
  • Up Throw: Harrier flies up high while performing a shuttle loop, before slamming an opponent down onto the ground. Works same as King K. Rool and Kirby's.
  • Down Throw: Harrier simply slams the opponent on the ground with his cannon and then releases a close-range explosion.
Special Moves:
  • Neutral Special: Lock-On - Harrier aims his cannon forward and shoots a few laser beams, doing chip damage unlike his Jab Combo/Forward-Back Tilt/Neutral Air. Shots will miss if an opponent is outside the reticle even if they overlap them. Based on how Harrier attacks in the PS2 remake and works similar to Palutena's Autoreticle.
  • Side Special: Komainu Barrier Rush - Harrier summons dog-like creatures called Komainus as they form a barrier in-front of him and he rushes forward. Same as Banjo's Wonderwing, but not limited, doesn't have super armor and has bigger endlag. Based on the new mode included in the SEGA AGES port on Nintendo Switch.
  • Up Special: Flight - Harrier uses his laser cannon to fly freely around for a few seconds (up to 10), able to shoot energy projectiles similar to his Jab/Side Tilt/Neutral Air while doing so, even though he can't turn around. Similar to R.O.B.'s Up Special.
  • Down Special: Flash Bomb - Harrier summons a Flash Bomb from the PS2 remake and activates it, summoning a light-like explosion around him which stuns opponents within range. A explosion's damage depends on an opponent's position, with the highest being right at a epicenter. Unlike other projectiles, it cannot be absorbed or reflected, but considering it's power, the move has a long cooldown period (10 seconds) before Harrier can use it again.
  • Final Smash: Dragon Rider - Uriah flies besides Harrier, who hops on him as he rides forward across the stage and hits an opponent(s). If it connects, opponents will be sent flying into Dragon Land with a bunch of trees as Uriah quickly flies towards them while breathing fire (like Dark Uriah shooting projectiles in Space Harrier 3-D) with Harrier riding on him, destroying trees in a quick succession and hitting opponents so powerfully they're sent back to the stage.
Others:

Aesthetics:
Harrier's default design is based on Ken Sugimori's artwork from SEGA 3D Fukkoku Archives' box-art on the Nintendo 3DS. His palettes reference his evil counterpart Dark Harrier, a outfit from Space Harrier II (all red/white), Mammoth (orange/brown), Uriah (white/grey), a fighter jetto reference the game's origins (grey/black; which also references the Ida enemy) and Opa-Opa (green shirt/blue lines, red pants/yellow lines, blue glasses & yellow boots).

His final outfit will not change a palette, but rather has him sporting a full red suit/outfit he used in the SEGA Ages version's box-art on PlayStation 2.

Harrier has a unique shield, in which he uses a Bit shield power-up from the PlayStation 2 remake, much like Yoshi's egg shield in Smash.

When KO'd/defeated, Harrier will shout out his infamous death scream when he loses a life in his home series. While respawning, the "Get ready!" sound effect will play out.

Entrance Animation: Harrier quickly flies towards the stage with his laser cannon at fast speeds and lands straight onto the ground with his feet, assuming his idle/fighting stance as a voice shouts "Welcome to the Fantasy Zone! Get ready!" plays during the animation, straight borrowed from the original arcade game.

Taunts:
If Harrier performs any taunt after KO'ing an opponent, a voice will shout "You're doing great!"

Taunt 1: Harrier stands up straight and then leans his cannon on the ground as he adjusts his glasses while they shine, before returning to his idle stance.
Taunt 2: Two Komainus appear and flies around Harrier for 2 seconds as he looks at them, before they disappear. Rarely, Opa-Opa will appear instead of them.
Taunt 3: Harrier faces at the camera and gives a peace sign, as he performs a pose similar to one in Space Harrier II's cover on SEGA Mega Drive/Genesis.

Victory Theme: A short remix of the main theme (done similarly like in Daytona USA, which plays when a player enters "S.H" as their initials after finishing the race)

Victory Animations:
Victory 1: Harrier is seen running on-screen as Uriah flies by and he hops into his head, flying away off-screen. Based on the original arcade game's ending after completing a final stage.
Victory 2: Harrier is seen sitting on Dom's shoulder, waving at the screen as Mammoth next to Dom makes a triumphing sound, stomping the ground with it's foot. Based on the original arcade game's title screen.
Victory 3: Idas are seen floating around before Harrier flies on-screen, destroying them by using his laser cannon. He then lands on the ground and raises it into the air in triumph.
Crash Bandicoot ( Champion of Hyrule Champion of Hyrule ):
Neutral Special: Spin
See the source image

He quickly spins in place once which can deflect projectiles. He'll spin in place slightly longer if you hold the button.

Side Special: Wumpa Fruit Bazooka
See the source image

He quickly picks up his wumpa fruit bazooka and shoots out a piece of fruit directly forward. The fruit goes fast but it takes a bit of time to pull out and put the bazooka back in so this is a bit of a risky move. You can fire a few more pieces of fruit when it's out.

Up Special: Arrow Crate
See the source image

Crash bounces upwards on a wooden arrow crate that appears underneath him. The crate breaks after he jumps on it.
If he holds the button it'll become an iron arrow crate which won't break after he jumps on it, and the crate will fall, potentially hitting people. It will disappear after a few seconds.
See the source image

Down Special: TNT Crate
See the source image

He places down a TNT crate which explodes after three seconds. It can explode at any time if opponents or you hit it.

Final Smash: Boulder
He charges forward wearing Aku Aku. This leads into a cinematic where he's running towards the screen from a boulder and the boulder hits the opponent(s)
See the source image
Ryu/Ken:
Neutral Special: Hadouken

Side Special: Tatsumaki Senpukaku

Up Special: Shoryuken

Down Special: Focus Attack

Final Smash: Shinku Hadouken/Shin Shoryuken (@AlRex):

ryu-mvc.png

The differences that Ryu's Final Smashes have are the same as in our timeline, with Shoryuken being used up close and Hadoken being used from further away. However, the Hadoken will become a giant beam, rather than a fairly large fireball, similar to Lucario's Final Smash. Also similarly, it can be slowly angled as it comes out.

Phoenix Wright ( Champion of Hyrule Champion of Hyrule ):
His gimmick is similar to Turnabout mode from MvC3 but it's a little different. Basically, he can collect evidence using his down special and he has three evidence slots. The slots look like this, on the very bottom left corner above his super meter:
See the source image

There's a 50% chance that the evidence he grabs will be useless and if so, it'll look dark in his evidence slots. If so, he has to taunt to get rid of it. Up taunt gets rid of the first piece, side taunt gets rid of the second and down taunt gets rid of the third. The more evidence he has the stronger his attacks will be and some moves will change depending on how much evidence he has. After around 15 seconds, one piece the evidence he has will disappear and he'll have to use his down special again to get it back. However, if he has three pieces of evidence they'll all disappear at once instead of just one piece after the 15 seconds. The evidence resets after a KO.

Neutral Special: Take That!/Objection!
See the source image

In normal mode, he will point a finger forward and a large speech bubble that says "Take That!" will appear. If he has three pieces of legitimate evidence, the bubble will say "Objection!" and it will be much larger and do more damage. BTW, if Kirby copies him Kirby will just have the objection bubble

Side Special: Steel Samurai Maya Smelting
See the source image

Maya Fey appears and runs forward, doing a barrage of punches. If done in the air, she will fall and do the barrage while falling.

Up Special: Stepladder (@Yiptap):
Phoenix’s up special has him jump off of a stepladder.

Down Special: Investigate
Starts searching the ground and adds either a piece of legitimate or illegitimate evidence to his evidence slots

Final Smash: Cornered
Literally just his final smash from Crusade only with a few differences:
Obviously in HD to match the visual style of this game
The part of his speech where he says "no alibi, no justice, no dream, no hope" is taken out and so he just says "the one who actually committed the crime is you, it's time to pay for your crimes, take this"
It's an objection bubble that initiates the cinematic
Mega Man/Roll:
Nemesis ( cashregister9 cashregister9 ):
Neutral Special: Rocket Launcher: Nemesis shoots a powerful rocket

Nemesis will still have the rocket launcher: residentevil

Side Special: Tentacle Thrust: Nemesis sticks his hand out and launches a Tentacle out of it. It has good range and impales opponents and grabs them towards nemesis, where Nemesis will then Slam the opponent into the ground.

How to play Nemesis in Dead by Daylight - SQUAD

Up Special: Tentacle Jump: Nemesis Thrusts a tentacle upwards that acts as a tether, If Nemesis properly grabs onto either a Player or an edge Nemesis launches itself into the air and then finally lands on the ground with a powerful shockwave

Down Special: Flamethrower: Nemesis Pulls out a flamethrower and slowly sprays it in a large cone in front of it while slowly moving it up and down, it can only be used for a few moments.

Resident Evil 3 Remake - Nemesis Flamethrower Boss Fight (Nemesis Encounter #3) RE3 Remake 2020 - YouTube

Final Smash: Nemesis Type-3: Nemesis charges forwards and anyone hit goes into a cutscene where we see Nemesis Type-3. it proceeds to thrash around before the cutscene ends.
Scorpion ( Champion of Hyrule Champion of Hyrule ): [Content warning, gore]
Neutral Special: Spear

He throws his spear forward and if it hits an opponent, he pulls it forward and then punches the opponent when they get to him.

Side Special: Flame

See the source image

He raises his hand and creates a fireball and then throws it forward (ignore the giant gaping hole it leaves, that won't be a thing in this game)

Up Special: Teleport
He disappears for a second and then reappears a bit higher in a burst of flames. It's pretty much just a standard teleport.

Down Special (@AlRex): Hand From Hell
My idea for a Down Special takes from another one of his Fatalities, as well as a few of his other moves. Hand from Hell would be him summoning a big, flaming hand from the ground to grab his foe.

Final Smash: Fatality

See the source image

His face turns into a skull and then he breathes a blast of fire. There will be a giant explosion if it hits an opponent and will instantly KO after 100%
Sub-Zero ( Champion of Hyrule Champion of Hyrule ):
All of his attacks have a chance of freezing on high percentages, and will also sometimes make people slow for a couple of seconds

Neutral Special: Ice Blast
See the source image

He sticks out both hands and blasts ice forward.

Side Special: Ice Shower
See the source image

(i think this screenshot is from a fangame but whatever)
He holds both hands forward at an upwards angle (instead of just directly up like he does in the screenshot) and releases a blast of ice which moves forward in an arc.

Up Special: Tombstone Teleport
He falls back into a portal made from ice, and then he appears in another portal a bit above him.

Down Special: Ice Clone
See the source image

He steps back and in the place where he was, a sculpture of himself made of ice appears and stays for about three seconds. If any opponents touch this sculpture it'll explode in an icy explosion, knocking them away. Shards from the explosion can also sometimes hit other people. He can't place any more sculptures if one of his own is on stage.

Final Smash: Sub-Zero Fatality
He starts off by making a sword from ice:
See the source image

Afterwards he swings it forward. If he hits an opponent, they'll be completely blue frozen in ice. Afterwards, they will explode in a gigantic icy explosion. The explosion instantly KO's if the opponent's percentage is high enough, but if it's not they will just be sent flying away.

Only other thing I want to add is that his dash attack would be slide
Pac-Man/Ms.Pac-Man:
Jin ( Champion of Hyrule Champion of Hyrule ):
Jin would play very similarly to Kazuya in our universe. A lot of his normals are the same if he can do them in tekken and he also goes into his devil form for his specials just like Kazuya does and some of his specials are the same. He also has the same rage mechanic as well.

Neutral Special: Hellfire Blast
He shoots a really long, red laser forward from his eyes which goes up a bit after shooting out.

Side Special: Rakshasa’s Rampge
He starts by slashing forward. If he hits an opponent he’ll then crouch and do a spin which ends with him uppercutting the opponent away.

Up Special: Devil Wings
Acts just like it does in smash ultimate

Down Special: Heaven’s Door
Acts just like it does in smash ultinate

Final Smash: Rage Art
He punches forward which goes into a cinematic of his rage art from tekken 7
Master Chief ( cashregister9 cashregister9 ):
Jab: A Punch a kick and a shot with the Pistol

Side Smash: Gravity Hammer, Chief Slams the Gravity Hammer into the ground

Up Smash: Chief pulls out a Sniper and shoots it upwards

Down Smash: Chief shoots a shot gun on both of his sides

Neutral Special: Plasma Pistol, Tapping the button causes Chief to shoot out a quick burst, holding the button causes the shot to charge and is much more powerful

Side Special: Grenade, Chief will throw either a Plasma Grenade or a Regular Grenade, They function similarly just the Plasma grenade sticks onto opponents

Down Special: Bubble Shield, Chief places a Bubble shield at his feet, this shield blocks all attacks.

Up Special: Pelican, A UNSC Pelican appears above chief and he grabs on to it

Final Smash: Vehicular Assault, Chief drives the warthog forwards, those hit are sent into a cutscene where they are run over by the warthog, shot by it's cannon and finally shot by a Banshee
Steve/Alex:
Doom Slayer ( Champion of Hyrule Champion of Hyrule ):
The normal attacks mostly use guns and projectiles and the specials are up-close melee weapons. I think this would be a good way to represent the brutal “rip and tear” style of doom and set him apart from the other gun users (which we have a lot lol)
Neutral Special: Chainsaw

He pulls out a chainsaw and holds it forward for a second. If people are there when he uses this attack he will swing it upwards, dealing lots of damage and knocking them away

Side Special: Crucible

He swings the Crucible sword forward. It’s a very heavy attack and follows the same pattern as Byleth’s down b from our universe although a little faster and much less dangerous. It still does a lot of damage though.

Up Special: Hook

A pretty standard grappling attack but it does more damage than usual if it hits an opponent

Down Special: Berserk
A counter. Doomslayer pulls out a small axe for a second. If he’s hit during this time he will counter by repeatedly punching them and then hit them away very quickly. He turns red during this time.

Final Smash: Doom’s Gate
He shoots a shotgun forward. If it hits anyone it leads into a still image where the opponent is surrounded by demons in a way that mimicks the cover of the original doom game
Vault Boy ( Champion of Hyrule Champion of Hyrule ):
Neutral Special: Grenade Launcher

See the source image

He pulls out a grenade launcher and then shoots a grenade forward. It goes forward fairly far.

Side Special: Rocket Ride

See the source image

He jumps on a rocket which flies directly forward. It does a huge explosion after three seconds or coming into contact with an opponent.

Up Special: Tommy Gun

See the source image

He pulls out a tommy gun and points it directly upwards. He repeatedly shoots it upwards which causes him to float a bit upwards. It's not the best recovery option on it's own but it he can actually lead this into his side special, making it much more effective.

Down Special: Nuka Cola
He throws a bottle of Nuka Cola on the ground. The puddle of cola stays on the ground for five seconds and if people step on it they'll be stuck to the ground for a few seconds. Also the shatter of the bottle can do damage to opponents.

Final Smash: Nuke
He shoots a blast from a retro-looking gun forward. This leads into a cinematic where the opponent(s) are in a wasteland and get hit by a nuclear bomb. It then pans out to show the entire explosion.
Clippy ( Wario Wario Wario Wario Wario Wario ):
Neutral B: Drag

Down B: Minesweeper

773A4226-3368-40CA-881F-FA6576479440.jpeg
Cuphead/Mugman ( Wario Wario Wario Wario Wario Wario ):
Cuphead (and his pal Mugman)

With Cuphead, I decided less to represent his game's gameplay and more his aesthetic - complete with references to specific classic cartoons. His squash-and-stretch nature means he has good range in spite of his medium size. I'm not skimping out on the projectiles, though they've got a little less emphasis than you'd expect - he still fits a zoner archetype however, and is very fast. He is animated in 3D, but with cel shading akin to Fortnite's Rick and Morty skins.
Neutral B: Roundabout

One of the best known abilities in the game. The roundabout first comes out and goes a short length, then goes backwards a further length. Once it starts going backwards it becomes more powerful, but also slower. This move can be shot rapid-fire and walked during (without any slowdown I should add) but doesn't deal knockback
Up B: Matchstick Clouds

When Cuphead uses his Up B he doesn't go higher, but rather lands on a cloud platform, which basicslly serves as a regular soft platform which he can jump off of. However, when it expires it'll go down in flames that can harm both Cuphead and his foes, making it very powerful.
Down B: Heavy Object

Cuphead snaps his fingers and a comically heavy object (such as a safe, baby elephant, sofa, or anvil) drops into the battlefield. There is no difference between these objects. The heavy objects will land on the platform topmost of Cuphead and deal great damage and knockback, but if they land on him it'll flatten him which lets his foes throw him as an item for a brief three seconds (though he'll bounce back if thrown off stage). Although he can't cancel the snapping animation he does have just about enough time flee given he's far away enough from the top blast zone.
Side B: Parry

Basically just Bouncing Fish/Flip Kick - except the attack portion of the move doesn't cancel the jump or change Cuphead's angle. Cuphead glows pink when he jumps, and does his straw-slap for the attack.
Not gonna go into all the non-specials, but here goes
Jab is a slap-slap-punch, with Cuphead's proportions exaggerated in an S&S style
Down tilt has Cuphead shocked by a knife with a tongue popping out of the ground. This is a reference to a cartoon called Bimbo's Initiation (it was a different time. By today's standards the "Bimbos" are doing the initiating, not getting initiated.)

Cuphead's Up Smash has him pull Psycarrot out of the ground then plant him back in. This is a tribute to a cartoon titled The Dover Boys. The pulling motion can throw foes upwards, whereas if a foe is somehow caught in the planting, they'll be grounded. Very laggy, but super powerful with great range

Neutral Air has Cuphead transform into a buzzsaw. This is not a reference to any specific cartoon, but the idea came from The Mad Doctor

Forward Throw has Cuphead stretch out his torso to use as a slingshot and fling his foe. A reference to Pete stretching Mickey in Steamboat Willie.

Cuphead's down throw is... blatantly stolen from Brawlfan. Sorry, I love this idea too much.
Cuphead's forward tilt has his arm buff up like Popeye, as he does the classic winding punch. He only winds once so the move isn't too laggy, (though it's still a little slow) and the wind happens concurrently to his arm buffing up. One of the most powerful attacks that is neither a special nor smash.

Cuphead's forward Smash is unsurpisingly, the Mega Blast, which is almost identical to Mega Man's forward smash in our world.

Cuphead's down air has him turn into his bomb form and dive downwards. This is similar to Wario's down air in PM or Link's down air in all Smash games in that it doesn't end until it hits or Cuphead lands on the ground, making him vulnerable should he misinput or miss. Although he is animated exploding it isn't a very powerful move and is designed to lead into combos.
Final Smash: Super Art III (@Champion of Hyrule)
See the source image

A giant muscular ghost appears and moves a bit forward for a few seconds, spinning around. It does massive damage to anyone it hits and Cuphead/Mugman can move around after this ghost is out.
Sephiroth:
Neutral Special: Flare/Megaflare/Gigaflare
See the source image

He throws forward a gigantic exploding fireball. The strength and size depends on how long you charge it.

Side Special: Shadow Flare
See the source image

He snaps forward which causes a small blast of dark energy to go forward. If they hit an enemy, they'll circle around them for a few seconds then attack them. The amount of energy blasts that circle around them depends on how long he holds the button.

Up Special: Blade Dash/Octoslash
See the source image

Depending on how long you charge it, he'll either slash forward once or slash forwards a bunch of times while moving. He can go in any of the eight directions including up.

Down Special: Scintilla
See the source image

Creates a small shield in front of himself which can counter or reflect.

Gimmick: One Wing
In situations where Sephiroth is at a disadvantage (either he took to much damage or he's down a few stocks, Sephiroth will gain a single wing on his back which makes his attacks do more damage and gives him another jump.

Final Smash: Supernova
He slashes forward which leads into a cinematic where, in his Safer Sephiroth form, he makes a meteor crash into the opponents
Erdrick:
Neutral Special: Frizz/Frizzle/Kafrizz
Shoots a fireball forward which gets larger the more you charge

Side Special: Zap/Zapple/Kazap
Swings his sword forward with lightning on it. It's chargeable.

Up Special: Woosh
Makes two tornadoes under him which launch him upwards

Down Special: Commands
A list of four random spells appear under him and he can pick any to do.

Gimmick: MP Meter
Each of his magic based attacks use up MP. If he's out of MP he won't be able to use any attacks. He regenerates MP automatically.

Final Smash: Ridgeraiser
He starts off by making a circle of magic around any opponent that’s close enough. A huge pillar of earth then comes up from the ground, hitting them away.
Lara Croft ( AlRex AlRex ):
Her normal A will be her shooting her regular handguns, as well as various acrobatic, flipping moves, including jumping kicks, handstands, and cartwheels, along with a few more moves that work gunplay in with that, akin to our timeline's Bayonetta, being only slightly more subdued than her. She'll also occasionally use a climbing axe, especially for a get-up move, a harpoon gun for a grab that can also be used as a tether recovery, and a shotgun and a torch for Smash Attacks.

1635298161901.png

B: Grenade Launcher
This is a fairly common weapon in the classic Tomb Raider games starting with II, but also makes appearances in a few later games. This shoots out explosives that travel decently far and explode upon impact, however, there's a bit of cool down between each use. This is more for ending combos or when you want to deal a heavy blow in general, rather than a bunch of rapid attacks at once.

1635297402741.png

B Forward: Tranquilizer Gun
Rather than any of her regular guns, I felt more unique and useful in utility would be her tranquilizer gun. The ammo in this will stun and slightly slow down enemies, or even cause them to fall asleep if they're at high enough damage percentages or if you manage to hit them with a whole lot, though you'll have to do this very quickly in order to pull it off, as the effects of a single dart don't last very long. But they are long enough to set Lara up for a fast-paced combo, which works will with her "normal" attacks.

rope-arrow.png

B Up: Rope Arrow
Lara shoots out a bow and arrow with a rope behind it. This can be used for further tether recovery, as well as grabbing foes from different angles and longer ranges.

1635300294723.png

B Down: Infada Stone
Lara pull out this artefact from Tomb Raider III, which will allow her to levitate somewhat upward, which can allow her extra recovery in the air, or let her dodge certain attacks on both the air and the ground. Tap B again while this is out to send out a blast of energy, which can target a nearby foe.

1635299925530.png

Final Smash: Atlantean Scion
A powerful artifact from the original Tomb Raider that's also important in the climax, as well as a few other entries. She holds this up and activates it, causing a giant pyramid to pop up from the ground, spiking and damaging foes.
Snake/Liquid ( Champion of Hyrule Champion of Hyrule ):
Neutral Special: SOCOM
See the source image

Snake pulls out a small SOCOM pistol gun. He fires a small shot forward, and if he shoots 12 times he'll need to take a second to reload.

Side Special: Hand Grenade
See the source image

Works just like it does in Ultimate but it's a bit stronger

Up Special: Fulton Recovery

It works just like Cypher except it's the kinds of fulton balloons used in Peace Walker and V

Down Special: C4/Claymore
The down special works like Ultimate but there's an added aspect to it, the Claymore. If you charge the down special he'll place a claymore which acts just like the C4 only it explodes as soon as someone steps on it. He only has three per stock.

Final Smash: Grenade Launcher
See the source image

He pulls out a grenade launcher and then he rapidly starts firing a bunch of grenades forward. During the attack he'll shoot some grenades in an upwards/forward angle to make this attack have more range.
Bomberman ( cashregister9 cashregister9 ):
Neutral B: Bomb: Bomberman places a bomb on the ground it can be hit in several direction after a timer it explodes in a cross shape

Side B: Bomb Toss: Bomberman Throws a bomb forward, instantly exploding upon contact with the ground or with a player

Down B: Bomb Select: A Menu appears around bomberman that changes the type of bomb his Neutral B uses
-Default
-Fire Bomb: deals Fire Damage
-Ice Bomb: Freezes opponents
-Wind bomb: creates a windbox upon it's explosion

Up B: Remote Bomb: Bomberman places a remote bomb underneath his feet, pressing B again Detonates it, If Bomberman is above the Bomb it launches him upwards.
Simon/Richter:
Frogger ( Wario Wario Wario Wario Wario Wario ):
Frogger, in this case, is non-bipedal. He will use his design from Parker Brothers' Atari 2600 port's box art. Frogger is a small zoner with strong attacks but pitiful defense and speed. Most of his normals would be tongue-based.

B: Lick Flick

Frogger flicks his tongue forwards, this is an angleable move that does no knockback and minimal damage, but comes and ends extremely quick and has very long range. Think of it like Fox's neutral B but as a disjoint.

Up B: Fish Flop

5A176831-FF7F-427C-A5EA-F977D88C97B7.jpeg

In a reference to Konami's Noah's Ark game, Frogger morphs into a frog-headed fish and rises then slams - Nigel's up B in NASB is a good reference point

Down B: Toy Truck

Frogger regurgitates a toy truck, it travels in a small upwards arc, and when it lands it rolls across the ground - dealing light damage and knockback

Side B: Roadkill (You)

(Image is a toy, don't worry)
A wheel flattens Frogger and rolls along with him attached. Frogger can jump off the wheel at any point and it'll continue rolling - it deals more damage and knockback than the toy truck but is also slower.

Final Smash: Helmet Chaos

A cutscene final smash where Frogger puts on the helmet from Helmet Chaos and as a result morphs onto his 2000s era design - he uses his long legs to kick the foes rapidly, once he's done the fighters are launched into oncoming traffic.
Carmen Sandiego ( AlRex AlRex ):
Carmen's Neutral Special: Stolen Item
Carmen makes use of the item she has stolen, either throwing a stored projectile, suddenly gaining use of the stolen item, or gaining a status buff that she has stolen. This has a variable nature to it, certainly. If Carmen doesn’t have any item, she may simply swipe forward with one hand, and if she connects, she will steal a held item from the foe.

Carmen's Side Special: Babble-On Ray
Carmen shoots out a laser beam from this invented ray gun that, once it hits a foe, will temporarily rob them of using their Specials for about 15 seconds. Additionally, more true to the name, all the vocal noises they’d make are turned into complete gibberish. To prevent this from becoming a total pain, and because Carmen likes a challenge, you can only use this 6 times per stock. So this move incorporates both language and math. This is based on the Babble-On Machine from "Carmen Sandiego Word Detective", which functioned similarly as a larger machine.

Carmen's Up Special: Glider Wings
Carmen sprouts glider wings and a rocket jet from the back of her jacket and shoots upward with the rocket glider. This can be angled in several directions diagonally before going off. It goes about as far as Luigi’s Green Missile, but is more controllable, and can hit into foes similarly.

Carmen's Down Special: Smoke Screen
Carmen throws down a smoke screen, which deals minor flinching damage and has a 5% chance of making a foe dizzy in close range. The cloud of smoke that appears completely covers up Carmen, but upon dissipating she is gone! She reappears elsewhere in the stage, seemingly having teleported away.

Final Smash: Where in the World is She?
A Capture Robot (from the NES “Where in Time is Carmen Sandiego?) tries to fly in to catch Carmen, but she disappears before it reaches her. A brief cutscene of an ACME detective tracing around a map of the world is shown before a plane drops to the stage, holding a random historical landmark (Pyramids/Statue of Liberty/Eiffel Tower/etc.) or even certain stage hazards and smashing it down into the stage. Those underneath it are dealt massive damage, while those on the sides of it are dealt a tad less damage, but can end up grounded, like the Pitfall item.
Gordon Freeman ( cashregister9 cashregister9 ):
All of Gordon's A Attacks would use the Crowbar

Neutral Special: Gravity Gun, Gordon pulls out the gravity gun and uses it, any item or projectile that is thrown can be caught by the Gravity Gun, Pressing the B button again launches the item at incredibly high speeds

Side Special: Arsenal, Side-B Shows a menu of several weapons that you can scroll through, which ever one you land on affects your Down-B

Up Special: Long Jump, Gordon is launched in the direction that the stick is pointed

Down Special: Arsenal, Uses one of the weapons selected by Side-B
Grenades - Works like Snakes
Snark - Gordon Sends out a Snark that works like a Moving Grenade
Rocket Launcher - (Works like Nikita)
Crossbow - A Small but powerful projectile that has a long cooldown
Hive Hand- 3 Low damage homing projectile are fired
SMG- A Rapid Fire Shot
AR2- A Slower and more powerful Rapid Fire Shot
Shotgun- A Single Powerful burst of damage

Final Smash, D0G Race, D0G appears behind Gordon and charges forwards, Those hit are sent into a cutscene where gordon gets into a Jalopy and starts to race with D0G, They get faster and faster until they run right over the opponents, who are then launched out of the cutscene
Team Fortress ( cashregister9 cashregister9 ):
3 characters would be out at all times. and Team Fortress has 3 stances, each stance changes which 3 characters are out.

Stances:
Offense: Scout, Soldier, Pyro
Defense: Heavy, Engineer, Demoman
Support: Sniper, Medic, Spy

The first character listed is that respective stances "Lead" as in that is the character you directly move at the start. with the other 2 following behind

Each directional attack corresponds to a different character ala Byleth with their weapons.

Most attacks switch who the lead character is depending on which character is attacking.

Down-B: Resupply, This switches between the three stances

Neutral B (Offense): Home Run, Scout charges up a powerful swing with his bat.
Neutral B (Defense): Minigun, Heavy revs up his minigun and starts shooting, he can move very slowly while shooting
Neutral B (Support): Sniper Rifle, Sniper stands still aiming his sniper, you can aim in 360 directions and if you hit an opponents head hitbox they take double damage

Up B (Offense): Rocket Jump, Soldier shoots a rocket at his feet launching him high into the air. the rocket does deal damage to both Soldier and opponents
Up B (Defense): Build, Engineer pulls up a menu where he can build 1 of 3 buildings
Sentry Gun: A stationary emplacement that fires at opponents
Dispenser: A stationary station that heals the player if they stand next to it
Teleporter: Building one teleporter does nothing but building 2 activates it and you can stand on one end of the teleporter to go to the other one. Building a second teleporter in air activates the teleportation immediately.

You can build 2 teleporters and 1 Dispenser and 1 sentry. They can be destroyed and they stay around if you switch stances.

Up B (Support): Invisibility watch, Spy becomes invisible for up to 30 seconds, attacking or taking damage removes the invisibility

Side B (Offense): Airblast, Pyro shoots a blast of air forwards that reflects all projectiles
Side B (Defense): Pipe-bomb, Demoman shoots a pipbomb forwards. The projectile goes in an arc and can be angled
Side B (Support): Medigun, Medic heals himself or a teammate with the medigun slowly charging up an Ubercharge meter. Pressing Shield+B once the uber meter is full makes Team Fortress invincible for a little while and it makes their final smash stronger.

Final Smash: Payload Push, The 3 characters push a payload forwards and anyone hit enters a cutscene where they are thrown into a pit and all 9 classes look into the pit while a payload falls into the pit promptly exploding

Franklin ( KingBooGengar57 KingBooGengar57 ):
Neutral Special: Weapon Wheel:
Changes Franklin's Neutral B to be the selected weapon, the variation of the weapon can be changed by pressing left or right while on the highlighted section.
Here are the weapons:
Bottom:
Fists
Aluminum Bat (Has a longer reach, but is slower than the fists and also does more damage)
Machete (Does less damage than the bat, but is faster)
Right:
9mm (A standard pistol)
.357 Magnum (A slow, but powerful bullet)
Uzi (A rapid-fire pistol that enables the user to continuously fire it by holding down B)
Top:
RPG (Shoots a fast moving rocket)
Flamethrower (Burns opponents, causing them to take damage over time)
Left:
MP4 (An assault rifle that can be fired continuously)
SMG (Is faster than the MP4, but deals less damage)
AK-47 (The well-rounded of the three)

Side Special: Car ram
Works like Steve's minecart, in that opponents can be trapped inside the car.

Up Special:
Explosive (Franklin chucks a grenade or a C4 across the stage, the former detonates immediately, while the latter can be set off with another Up Special command)

Down Special:
Time slow (Franklin can move much faster, but it only works for a little while and needs to be recharged, similar to his special ability in GTA V)

Final Smash:
The Third Way
Franklin calls Trevor and Micheal to put the caught character in a car, which the trio then pushes off a cliff into a burning oil field, doing damage. This is similar to the Option C ending from GTA V.
Frisk ( cashregister9 cashregister9 ):
--Gimmick--
Frisk's SOUL appears in front of Frisk at all times
Each non-Special move has a "Pacifist" and "Genocidal" version
Pacifist is the more versatile moveset that lets you stay alive longer, you have damage and knockback resistance
Genocide deals more damage but you take more damage and knockback

--Smash Attacks--

Side Smash: Spear Of Justice, Undyne Appears and throws a spear forwards/Genocide: Frisk Stabs a knife forwards

Up Smash: Gaster Blaster, Sans Appears and Summons a Gaster Blaster/Genocide: Frisk Slashes upwards with a knife

Down Smash: Toriel appears and summons fire on both sides of frisk/Genocide: Frisk stabs the ground with a knife

--Specials--

Neutral: Yellow Soul: Frisk shoots a blast from their SOUL which is now yellow

Side: Command: Frisk's SOUL moves forward and 3 menu options appear FIGHT, ITEM and MERCY. Selecting fight increases your damage but increases your genocide gauge, ITEM gives frisk a random item, MERCY Increases the knockback and damage that opponents take

Down: DETERMINATION: This is a counter like Rebel's Guard, Frisk's Soul glows bright and frisk takes 50% less damage and cannot be knocked back, Pressing A during this move causes Frisk to slice with their knife if it hits your Genocide gauge gets some points

Up: Purple Soul: Frisk's Soul becomes purple and climbs up a purple latter that appears behind them, while climbing you can move side to side

Final Smash: Wish, Frisk's soul appears in the middle of the screen, and Frisk's friends that he they summon throughout their moveset appear and stars rain from the sky and teammates and Frisk get healed/Genocide: Frisk dashes forward with their knife and all those hit take a lot of damage

--Misc--
The Shield Animation has Frisk's Soul become Green
The double jump animation has Frisk's soul become blue
The roll animation has frisk's soul become orange
Shovel Knight ( AlRex AlRex ):
A: Digging. Shovel Knight digs with his shovel. This moves somewhat slower than most A combos, but can hit hard, and has a utility beyond just simply jabbing with the shovel, being able to potentially uncover items, as well as acting as essentially an extra quick grab and back-throw for Shovel Knight.

Down-Air: Shovel Drop
SK tilts his shovel straight downward and bashes down, which can also bounce upward off of foes or the ground,
much like a certain wealthy Scottish duck.

Other Relics and Special Attacks (in the Shovel Knight sense) will get used for certain moves, like the Dust Knuckles for the Dash Attack, the Throwing Anchor for the Up-Smash, the Fishing Rod for a long-range grab and throws, as well as a potential tether recovery, and the Charge Slash for a Down-Smash.

But this is what I ended up choosing for his Specials (in the Smash Bros. sense)

B: Flare Wand
SK swats out this wand and shoots out a fireball, which travels straight-forward, moves slightly slower than Mario's fireball, but hits somewhat harder. You can also do an extra bit of damage up close by hitting a foe with the wand.

B Up: Propeller Dagger
SK holds this dagger outward, which then starts spinning like a helicopter blade. SK can angle this in multiple directions to travel upward for a brief period, and it also serves as a multi-hitting move to those in his path.

B Side: Chaos Sphere
I ultimately decided on this over the Alchemy Coin or Mobile Gear because I thought digging served the purpose of potentially gaining treasure/items for Shovel Knight, and the Propeller Dagger seemed like more of a signature recovery option for SK. You can shoot out up to two of these bouncing green energy spheres to move along the ground and do damage to foes, though they will disappear after a period of time, but during the time they are active, you cannot shoot out any more.

B Down: Phase Locket
SK uses this to briefly become completely intangible for about 3 seconds. There's a cooldown between each use, and you could potentially be vulnerable if you used this in the air or timed it poorly, but while in use, nothing can harm you whatsoever.

Final Smash: Catch Her!
The background changes to a more dream-like one as Shovel Knight sees Shield Knight fall from the sky towards him. If he can catch her, the two will then perform a tag-team attack on the nearest foes, smacking with the shovel and bouncing them against the shield before sending them flying. Alternatively, you could go with the War Horn, but this felt more tied into SK's character.
Rayman ( tonygameman tonygameman ):
Most of Rayman's moveset are based on the attack system in Rayman Origins and Legends, with some aspects borrowed from the other games.

Rayman can use a wall jump, crawl on the ground and even glide in the air by spinning his hair like a helicopter to slow down his descent similarly to Peach's.

Normal Moves:
  • Jab Combo - Like Min Min, Rayman does a series of three consecutive punches (left, right, left) before finishing up with a stronger, right punch.
  • Jab/Side Tilt/Neutral Air (Hold) - Telescopic Fist: Like Steve, Rayman can attack while moving around by spinning his fist. Releasing the button will make him shoot it forward a distance depending on charge before it flies back to him. When fully charged, his fist will turn golden and do more damage (referencing a Golden Fist power-up).
  • Side Tilt - Rayman punches twice and then does a roundhouse kick as he leaps forward. Like in Origins and Legends, this can be done by pressing a button three times while moving.
  • Up Tilt - Rayman performs a right hook upwards, then follows up with a upwards left hook when pressing the button again.
  • Down Tilt - Rayman does a sweeping kick with his right foot, tripping an opponent when close to them.
  • Dash Attack - Rayman twirls around like a pirouette as he spins his fists twice, while running forward.
Smash Attacks:
  • Side Smash - Rayman rears back and starts to wind up his fist by spinning it around. When released, he will punch forward a set distance.
  • Up Smash - Same as his Side Smash, except that Rayman performs an spinning uppercut instead of punching forwards.
  • Down Smash - Rayman winds up a fist over his head and then punches the ground, creating a small shockwave around him. It can meteor-smash if used on a ledge or a thin platform.
Aerial Attacks:
  • Neutral Air - Rayman simply kicks forwards mid-air.
  • Forward Air - Rayman puts his fists together and then quickly swings them downwards in-front of him. It can meteor-smash when timed correctly.
  • Back Air - Rayman performs a backwards kick, swinging from in-front of quickly to behind him like Cloud’s Back Air.
  • Up Air - Rayman kicks upwards with his right foot growing in size.
  • Down Air - Bodyshot: Rayman takes his body/torso and chucks it downwards a fair distance before it comes back, meteor-smashing opponents below him. Based on one of his moves in the Game Boy Advance version of Rayman 3.
Grab/Throw Moves:
  • Grab - Rayman reaches out both of his hands to grab the opponent. If Rayman has Lockjaw, he tosses out a chain with a bear-trap on its top to latch an opponent and pull them onto him.
  • Pummel - Rayman simply headbutts the opponent with his head. If Rayman has Lockjaw, he electrifies a chain to shock the opponent.
  • Forward Throw - Rayman picks up an opponent with both hands and starts carrying them around while his mobility decreases during this, able to toss them in any direction. Based on how he uses pickable objects in Rayman 2 and Donkey Kong’s Forward Throw.
  • Back Throw - Rayman spins the opponent around twice and then tosses them backwards. If Rayman has Lockjaw, he can hit other opponents while spinning around.
  • Up Throw - Rayman holds the opponent with both hands and then tosses them upwards into the air like his Forward Throw’s upwards variation.
  • Down Throw - Rayman slams an opponent into the ground, bouncing them right up.
Special Moves:
  • Shield Special - Combat Fatigue Switch: Similarly to Shulk’s Monado Arts, Rayman is capable of choosing five different Combat-Fatigues from Rayman 3: Hoodlum Havoc for different powers, slightly changing up some of his moves.
    • Vortex - Each of Rayman’s fist attacks shoots a small tornado (or a much bigger one which traps opponents when fully charging a Side Smash), slightly damaging an opponent while pushing them away with its windbox.
    • Heavy Metal Fist - Makes Rayman’s fist attacks more stronger and makes it easier to meteor-smash/spike opponents with certain moves.
    • Lockjaw - Gives Rayman’s grab a tether recovery and makes his throws more stronger. He can also shoot a bear-trap from the top of a chain to inflict damage like Min Min’s Dragon arm by pressing the button again when attacking.
    • Shock Rocket - Gives Rayman’s fist attacks an explosive effect when landing them. Also changes Rayman’s Neutral Special.
    • Throttle Copter - Makes Rayman’s helicopter hair-related attacks more stronger and allows him to damage opponents from above during his Up Special with faster movement at the same time.
  • Neutral Special - Magic Fist: Rayman shoots a light orb forward from his hand. He can launch up to two at maximum and angle shots diagonally upwards or downwards. When an orb hits a surface or gets reflected, it will become stronger and faster with each bounce (able to ricochet two times). It explodes when it touches an opponent, item or destructible objects.
  • Neutral Special #2 - Shock Rocket: If Rayman has a Shock Rocket equipped via his Shield Special, he will shoot a small rocket instead, which he can control akin to Snake’s. Like Magic Fist, it explodes when hitting an opponent or any surface (not ricocheting unlike it).
  • Side Special - Walking Shell: An explosive shell suddenly appears out of nowhere as Rayman rides it straight forward. When hitting something, it will explode. Rayman can jump out of it while it runs (as it continues doing so), otherwise, he will take a little damage when exploding.
  • Up Special - Super Helicopter/Throttle Copter: Rayman’s hair suddenly changes to blue as he rises up into the air by spinning it like a helicopter, being able to freely fly around for a few seconds. After this, he will fall down as he uses his helicopter hair to glide slowly onto the ground. If Rayman has a Throttle Copter, he will move much faster and propellers can damage opponents above his head.
  • Down Special - Plum Drop: Rayman pulls out a large purple plum and places it directly below him, able to stand on it as a platform and damage opponents when it bounces around by attacking it. Rayman can also catch it by pressing the “grab” button, able to carry and throw it forwards or upwards like his cargo throw.
  • Final Smash - Legends Attack: Rayman whistles to summon Bzzit, a moskito, who flies forward at quick speeds to blitz through opponents, triggering a cutscene where Rayman and his allies/friends (Globox, Barbara, Grand Minimus and Goth Teensie) jumps towards opponents and starts beating them up akin to Shulk’s Chain Attack. Rayman then does a finishing, powerful punch that sends them flying out long distances.

Kratos ( Tankman from Newgrounds Tankman from Newgrounds ):
Kratos would be Heavyweight character, who has ability to wall jump. He could be Rushdown character, who coulf rush down at enemies with his deadly God weapons. His gimmicks are Spartan Rage (Which get rage effect similar to Kazuya, but he's stronger) and Super Moves (Whic he has two Final Smashes activated by charging bar: first when he has level 1 and he performs smaller final Smash, but if he has level 2, he has different and bigger Final Smash. When he grabs smash ball when he has 1 Level on Super Bar, he preforms it, but if he has level 2, he has Level 2 Final smash after grabbing smash ball, so it depends on Bar Level when you grab Smash Ball).
Now to his moveset:

AAA – Kratos swings his axe with one hand horizontally left, horizontally right, grabs it with both hands into a downward diagonal left swing, downward diagonal right swing, and finishes off with a spin attack into an upward arc swing that deals upward knockback.

A Left/Right- Executioner’s Cleave- Kratos lifts the axe with both hands and brutally swings it downward. If it makes contact with an opponent it will stun the opponent allowing for a follow up attack!

A Dash- Returning Whirlwind- Kratos grips his axe with both hands and performs a 720-degree spin attack forward.

A Up- Kratos grips the axe and performs an upward arc swing.

A Down- Kratos grips his axe with both hands and performs a spin attack into a downward ground slamming axe attack.

Smash Left/Right- Njord’s Tempest- Kratos grips the leviathan axe with both hands, the longer charged the more ice magic it accumulates. Once releasing the attack, Kratos performs a quadrupole spin attack with the axe. As he spins the axe emits ice energy which can deal impressive sideways ice knockback and freeze opponents.

Smash Up- Strike of the Utgard- Kratos grips the leviathan axe with both hands, the longer charged the more ice magic is accumulated. Once released, Kratos swings his axe overhead in an arc three times back and forth, with the last swing dealing the most DMG. The last swing also freezes opponents.

Smash Down- Ivaldi’s Anvil- Kratos grips the leviathan axe with one hand while holding it inverted. Once the charge is released, Kratos leaps in the air and brings the axe slamming into the ground. As he stabs it in the ground spikes of ice (size depending on how long it was charged) sprout up all around Kratos!

Aerial Neutral- Whirlwind- Kratos tosses his axe as it whirlwinds around his body once before he catches the axe again.

Aerial Forward- Evasive Swing- Kratos spins and tosses his leviathan axe forward as it travels forward then boomerangs back to him. This also pushes Kratos a decent distance in the opposite direction which can be used for additional recovery.

Aerial Backward- Kratos grips the leviathan axe and performs two spin slashes.

Aerial Down- Returning Storm- Kratos lifts his axe high with both hands and comes crashing straight downward with it to the ground while the axe is engulfed in ice magic. Once he hits the ground a small explosion of ice will be created in front of the axe which can freeze nearby opponents.

Aerial Up- Gripping the axe with both hands, Kratos performs a slow but powerful front flip axe swing attack.

Grab: Kratos Grabs opponent with one hand.
Pummel: Kratos pummels the opponent with his blades, stabbing it into stomach.
F. Throw: Kratos throws opponent forwards.
Back Throw: Kratos turns back and uses his blades and slashes so hard that the opponent gets launched backwards.
Up Throw: Kratos stabs enemy with chain blade and throws it upwards.
Down Throw: Kratos slams opponent down and hits his axe into Opponent's Head.

B- Leviathan Frost- Kratos tosses his leviathan axe forward a good distance (about as far as Link’s side special) as the axe soars forward like a buzzsaw. If you hold B for a few moments before releasing, the axe will be engulfed in ice energy and will not only deal significant DMG but also freeze opponents as they are hit with the axe. This is a strong projectile attack, but like most of his attacks can leave him wide open for attacks while he uses the special so watch out.

Side B- Blades of Chaos- Kratos takes out his legendary weapons, the blade of chaos, and lashes them out forward! The blades of chaos have very impressive range, almost the reach of two of Simon’s whips, and deal impressive DMG along with fire DMG. The Blades of Chaos have multiple uses depending on the command input used after the special makes contact. If the blades make contact with an opponent they will momentarily stab into the opponent, similar to Corrin’s side special. Pressing B again once an opponent is latched onto will allow Kratos to retract the blades and pull the stunned opponent in close for a devastating spin attack with the blades of chaos. Pressing A after latching onto an opponent will cause Kratos to whip snap the blades of chaos, causing flames to travel through the chains and into the stunned opponent to deal less knockback but impressive fire DMG.

Up B- Cyclone of Chaos- Taking out the legendary Blades of Chaos, Kratos performs multiple spin attacks with the extendable blades which elevate him into the air. This recovery doesn’t gain much air unfortunately, however the blades deal fire DMG and have impressive reach) about as far as Simon’s whip) when used. The recovery also has a slight gravitational pull to it so nearby opponents may be pulled into the deadly strike!

Down B- Guardian Parry- Kratos takes out his shield gauntlet and enters a defensive stance as he takes cover with it. If an opponent makes contact with Kratos while he is in the defense stance/has the shield out he will parry the attack with the shield and quickly stun the opponent. After the parry attack, Kratos performs a mighty slamming axe attack against the opponent to deal impressive DMG and knockback depending on the strength of the attack parried.

Final Smash Level 1- Raging Rip - Kratos rushes at 2 opponents and slashes the opponent with his every blades and uses his charged axe to make a huge blow that doesnt KO, but it gives huge damage (Similar to Triforce Slash).

Final Smash Level 2- Father and his Son- Kratos shouts “Now, boy!” as his son Atreus appears and fires a powerful mystical arrow forward similar to the start of Link’s final smash. If Atreus makes contact with an opponent they will immediately be stunned in midair as Kratos lets out a war cry. After this, Kratos will bombard the opponent(s) with a flurry of powerful leviathan axe attacks imbued with the rage of a spartan! As Kratos delivers these attacks, Atreus will also continue an onslaught of arrow attacks to deal additional DMG. Kratos finishes off the final smash with a sideways axe swing to deliver the final sideways DMG and knockback. After the opponents are sent flying, Atreus disappears and Kratos gets back into the fight.

Ratchet & Clank (@Darkonedagger):
- Gimmick: Weapon Upgrade: Upgrading weapons is a huge part of the Ratchet and Clank series. Ratchet will have an orange meter below his character icon with the weapon he currently has active. This meter will fill. Allowing the weapon to be upgraded into a more powerful form.

These weapons include:
- Combuster (Upgrades to Magma Combuster
- Fusion Grenade (Upgrades to Fusion Bomb)
- Proton Drum (Upgrades to Protonclast)

Ezio ( Champion of Hyrule Champion of Hyrule ):
Ezio is obviously a light weight character who specializes in quick attacks. His normals mostly use a sword and hidden blades.

Neutral Special: Hidden Blade
A command grab where he punches forwar. If this hits an opponent he’ll then stab them with a hidden blade on his wrist and then throw them away.

Side Special: Hidden Gun
He aims his hand forward and then shoots from a gun on his wrist. The bullet doesn’t do much damage (I imagine guns probably didn’t back then) but it is pretty quick and big. It’s also a bit difficult to hit the opponent with it since it’s difficult to sim it properly.

Up Special: Leap of Faith
He jumps upwards then dives forward in an arc

Down Special: Eagle Vision
A counter where he holds his sword for a second and a white effect goes around him. If he’s hit then he’ll knock the opponent away with his sword.

Final Smash: The Flying Machine

He swings a hidden blade forward which leads into a cinematic. In the cinematic the opponent is on the roof of a building in Venice and Ezio glides in and kicks them off.
Sora ( cashregister9 cashregister9 ):
Neutral, Up and Side Special are the exact same as in ultimate but there is a big change

Sora does not have a traditional shield, Pressing shield causes Sora to guard much like how he does in KH. Getting hit by a Melee attack in this guarded state prompts a counterattack, a ranged attack causes that attack to be reflected.

Down Special is now Strike Raid, Sora Charges and prepares a large throw with his Keyblade. In air you can angle the attack. The longer you charge it the more powerful it is and longer it is out.

Final Smash is now Trinity Finish, Riku and Kairi appear and all three stick their keyblades up into the air touching them causing a large beam of light to emit from it creating giant lasers that go all over the stage. Ending with a giant explosion that KOS anyone over 80%
Joker ( Tankman from Newgrounds Tankman from Newgrounds ):
We can keep his Ultimate Moveset.
Plus, he retains his gimmick with Rebellion Gauge.
PaRappa ( Wario Wario Wario Wario Wario Wario ):
PaRappa is a glass cannon shoto type who's a little faster and lighter than an average character of his archetype. He does not have any major gimmicks, but does have a microphone tether grab. A lot of moves here are taken from PlayStation All-Stars, see this video for further reference.

Rapid Jab: A multi-punch that ends with a shoulder hit - based his neutral and forward square moves from PSASBR

Dash: PaRappa spins his microphone like a fan towards the screen while running. Based on his side circle move from PSASBR

Up Tilt: An afro made of noodles grows from beneath PaRappa's hat, a reference to the Hair Scare stage from PaRappa 2

Down Tilt: PaRappa does a sliding kick, based on his down square from PSASBR

Forward Tilt: PaRappa does a downwards kick, based on his neutral air square from PSASBR

Up Smash: PaRappa does a handplant skateboard trick, based on his up triangle from PSASBR

Down Smash: PaRappa places Boxxy Boy at his feet, who lets out a sick beat. Based loosely on his Up Circle from PSASBR.

Side Smash: A forwards whack with his skateboard. Based on his neutral Triangle move from PSASBR

Up Air: An uppercut that can be cancelled into itself 3 times over, based on his up Square from PSASBR

Down Air: PaRappa stomps down, should he land on a foe, stop to kick them a bit more. Based on his air down from PSASBR

Back Air: PaRappa kicks backwards, sending him in a backwards trajectory. This will also reverse his direction! Based on his air forward square from PSASBR

Neutral Air: PaRappa holds his arms out and spins, a loose reference to Vibri's princess form from Vib-Ribbon, another Nana-OnSha game.

Forward Air: PaRappa slams down his skateboard, spiking foes. Based on his air down Triangle from PSASBR

Up B: Hold the Hose Real Tight: PaRappa gets a fire hose and pumps it downwards in a burst to fly. This goes relatively high and has a light windbox at the bottom, but no hitbox. Source

Down B: Double Dutch Inline Skate: PaRappa puts on roller skates and dashes forwards - this move goes fast and deals a lot of damage but only hits on his feet and legs. If PaRappa jumps out of this move the skates will continue rolling on! Source

Side B: I Can Sell Like This: PaRappa throws an arced projectile of one of the goods from Prince Fleaswallow's flea market. If it hits a foe, it will turn into money and linger - should PaRappa or a foe pick up or throw the money, it will be more powerful. It increases in strength every time it's thrown, and the countdown to disappearing eill reset too - but the amount of time it can linger for will also decrease as it gets more powerful. Source

B: Kick! Punch! Chop!: a counter-command grab - after hitting once a bar appears above PaRappa, and he can either press the special button again at the right time to do the second hit of the counter, or cancel it into any other action he wants at any time. This can be mashed out of, but every hit will reset the mashing. Source

Final Smash: Doom Box: PaRappa sings the portion MC King Kong Mushi's Live Rap used in PSASBR - you actually get to press buttons along to the rhythm to create shockwaves like DK's old bongo FS! Every button used to represent a beat is X, but you don't necessarily need to press B Source
Miner Willy ( Wario Wario Wario Wario Wario Wario ):
Willy is a trapper sort of fighter, similar to Pac-Man

B: Enemy Summon

Miner Willy summons one of the many enemies from Jet Set Willy, rendered as sprites. You can hold slightly upwards to make them move up and down or slightly downwards to make them not move at all, with moving left and right being the default

Side B: Hot Coal Trap

Willy places down coal, he can move left and right while placing it down and will stop when he's either placed too much or the button is released - anyone who walks over the coal will be damaged slightly but not get knockback. Willy is included however, ajd that can also apply when placing the coal. The enemy summon enemies gobble up coal.

Down B: Squashing Foot

Somewhat similarly to Pikachu's Down B, Willy spawns a foot to come downwards on the highest platform above him. The foot will expand out the coal and destroy the enemies. It also, of course, can crush and ground foes.

Up B: Shovel Spin

Willy jumps upwards while spinning a shovel around him, this is a pretty lousy recovery move, but if used on the ground there'll also be dirt projectiles flying around. Additionally, if Willy hits summoned enemies with the shovel they'll change their trajectory; the coal will bounce up and land on any platforms it may appear above, and the foot will go a little slower downwards.
Chun-Li ( Champion of Hyrule Champion of Hyrule ):
Like she is in the games, Chun-Li would be a light and quick fighter. Pretty much all her normals are pulled from her games. She also has the same “gimmick” that Ryu and Ken have where pressing A harder makes her do a heavy attack. Mashing A is a rapid kick attack though.

Neutral Special:

A pretty simple fireball attack

Side Special: Spinning Bird Kick

She turns upside down and spins around while flying forward.

Up Special: Tenshokyaku

She jumps upwards while kicking a few times

Down Special: Renkiko

Her V-Trigger move from street fighter 5. She has a meter next to her character profile which will fill up when she takes enough damage. Once it’s filled up enough using the move will cause a blue aura to appear around her which buffs her for 15 seconds. Her V-Trigger won’t fill up when she has the buff.

Final Smash (from afar): Super Fireball

She makes a huge fireball move which surrounds her and hits away other opponents

Final Smash (close): Super Lightning Legs

She repeatedly kicks forward like her rapid jab. This one is much stronger and lasts longer though.
The Sims ( cashregister9 cashregister9 ):
--Gimmick--
Emotions: Sim will have a Plumbob that appears above their head, their emotion directly affects their gameplay
Neutral: The Default
Happy: Damage is increased
Sad: Damage is decreased
Angry: Damage is increased but you receive more damage
Embarrassed: Sim takes more knockback
Inspired: Special Moves deal more damage
Focused: A-attacks deal more damage
Dazed: Controls are inverted
Confident: Smash Attacks have more knockback
Energized: Speed is increased
Playful: Item Effects are increased
Tense: Speed is decreased
Uncomfortable: You take damage over time
Bored: Only cosmetic but it is obtained by not attacking for a while
Asleep: Another Cosmetic one, This appears when you are asleep

Whims: Bubbles will appear above the sims hud, Completing the whim nets you the emotion displayed on the whim, Whims are things like, Perform this move or pick up this item.

Skill Building: The more you use an attack the stronger it becomes.

--Specials--
Neutral: Outfit change, Pressing B bring up a wheel where you can change your outfit, Each outfit is tied to a different emotion.

Side: Redecorating, A Wall will stretch out in front of the sim letting go builds the wall and random furniture will appear on the walls and floors next to it, interacting with the pieces of furniture will give you a mood depending on the piece of furniture. For instance say a Sad Clown portrait spawns, interacting with that portrait will give you the sad mood.

Down: Gardening, Sim will plant something into the ground, it starts as a dirt patch, pressing down b again lets the sim water it, when it is fully grown you can harvest the plant with Down-B again, There are a few options for what the plant could be
-Food
-Flowers, If the sim pulls a flower, they get the happy emotion immediately
-Forbidden Fruit, This gives Sim green skin, And doubles the effect of the Happy mood

Up: Rocket Ship, The Sim will get into a rocket and launch into the air, A successful launch and landing can give inspired or focused moods while a crash landing can give any negative emotion

Final Smash: Grim Reaper, The Grim Reaper spawns and slashes it's scythe forward anyone hit is sent into cutscene where they are in a pool with no ladders where they proceed
Cloud
Impostor:
Kung Fu Man ( Wario Wario Wario Wario Wario Wario ):
Up B: Kung Fu Knee

KFM jumps in a set arc and kicks at the peak of his trajectory, which sends foes flying upwards. You can't control when the kick comes out, but you can angle it a little

Side B: Triple Kung Fu Palm

Kung Fu Man strikes forward with his palm, if you press the B button again right as the hitbox comes out you can cancel into it into another B move including itself - upon the third side B press he unleashes an especially powerful blow that can't be cancelled

B: Riot Crossover Jab

A very tricky command jab where KFM rushes forwards to choke like a certain yellow patriarch and, should he hit, begins morphing into all sorts of different characters from the game and performing their jabs. When B is pressed again it will go to a random, fully chargefforward Smash. Alternatively you can tap the joystick in a direction to do a random tilt for a less devistating finisher. It can, like most command grabs, be mashed out of by foes. The hitbox of this move only effects anyone caught in the command grab, so it leaves KFM vulnerable in a free-for-all or if it's mashed out of - this is with the exception of tilts or Smash attacks, which can still hit anyone.

Down B: Coding

A HUD menu that lets you increase and decrease certain stats. Each stat begins at 50 and can go up to 100 or down to 0. Each stat has a disadvantage that can be remedied by decreasing the stat.

speed = speeds you up, slows attacks down
weight = you become heavier, but jump lower
attack = you deal more damage, but less knockback

Final Smash: F1

Easily the least climactic FS in the game, an F1 button appears on screen and is pressed - everyone except Kung Fu Man is suddenly in stumble and has very high damage, allowing KFM to choose how to follow up similar to Peach's Final Smash.

How the modes work:

Classic mode format ( AlRex AlRex )

1. Basic 1V1
2. 2V2
3 . 3V1 giant opponent
4. Bonus Game: Car Smash
5. Free-For-All
6. Fighting Polygon Team
7. 1V1 Metal battle/giant battle
8. Bonus Game: Duck Hunt
9. Rival Battle
10. Boss (Master Hand)

Difficulty Settings ( Pupp135 Pupp135 ):
You can select from five difficulties (very easy, easy, moderate, hard, intense). If you play on hard+, Crazy Hand will be a part of the Master Hand fight.

Multi-Man Smash:
All the battles are against the Fighting Polygon Team

10-Man Smash
100-Man Smash
3-Minute Smash
Endless Smash
Cruel Smash
All-Star Mode

All-Star Mode is in the classic order of when the characters were released, Ex: Pac-Man & Ms. Pac-Man first, probably Cuphead & his pal Mugman last, with three healing items to use in between matches. Last two fights will be the Fighting Polygon Team and then Master Hand (w/Crazy Hand, depending on the difficulty).

Boss Battles follows the same format as All-Star mode.

Baby Bowser (Mario series)

You fight on the crumbling debris of Kamek's castle against a giant Baby Bowser who is in the foreground but very close. You can only hit his head. He can punch into the ground to destroy it; go under the stage to carry and tilt it; throw a temper tantrum powerful enough to send debris flying down; send an army of Toadies to try and push you off-stage; and set fire to a platform.

Majora's Mask/Incarnation/Wrath (The Legend of Zelda seriea)

Majora's_Mask_(boss).png
MM3D_Majora%27s_Incarnation_Model.png
unnamed (1).png

This boss battle should work the same as it does in Majora's Mask, but obviously being more linear to fit Smash. Each transformation of the mask will have about 3/4 of the health of a normal boss for balancing purposes.

Perfect Chaos (Sonic series)
1627749371084.png

In this battle, the player would be a piece of the road floating above a flooded Station Square, and Chaos would use attcks from the fight in Sonic Adventure, such as lasers and the cyclone when the player approaches him. To hurt Perfect Chaos, you need to aim for his brain.

Ender Dragon (Minecraft series)

1628345735686.gif

Ender Dragon is the final boss that appears in the End area of minecraft. For this battle, the dragon would be flying above the player. The layout would be a walkoff in the End area of minecraft. Attacks would include dragon’s breath, a charge attack, and a dragon fireball (this would create a cloud that hurts players inside this cloud). Additionally, there would be an end crystal at the center that sometimes heals the dragon, which can be destroyed.

Job #1: Submit a character to be the top 3 revealed

So in case you couldn’t see, Mario and Sonic are the first two characters to be revealed but I’d like for us to also reveal another character alongside them. Please submit which character you think would be good to be revealed at the game’s announcement and give a brief explanation why. If the character is already in this universe’s smash bros, that’s perfectly fine and you can still submit them.

JOB #1: Ryu

Seeing as our first two characters are platforming icons, I think we should stray from those for the first job. Ryu is the most iconic fighting game character ever and, seeing as we're making a fighting game, he only makes sense to be the first added.

Job #1
Pac-Man

It came down to Pac or Crash for my submission, and ultimately Wakka beat Woah thanks to his historical legacy and overall popularity. He'd also demonstrate that fighters don't need to have a set in stone list of powers and weapons to make the cut, and if we desire we can just make **** up.

Job #1: Frogger
B03A505D-20F6-4A9F-B88F-A4791F97AC30.png

Like Mario and Sonic, Frogger is a classic gaming icon. He may not be talked about a lot by this new generation, but he is still an arcade icon. If you don’t know who Frogger is, you have at least seen his gameplay style in action from somewhere. Frogger would be a interesting surprise to be revealed along with Mario and Sonic.

Mario

Series: Super Mario (Nintendo)
Debut: Donkey Kong (1981)
Moves: TBD
Alts: TBD

Sonic

Series: Sonic (Sega)
Debut: Sonic the Hedgehog (1991)
Moves: TBD
Alts: TBD
Btw, who made the Sonic render in the OP? It doesn’t look official to me.

This is where the image was from: Collection of Sonic HD PNG. | PlusPNG

You're probably right about the render not being official, but the site says the images are free to download and use, so I'll just keep the image.
Found it. Jotiga6 on Deviantart.

Wait... this isn’t your Ocarina of Time, Majora’s Mask, Twilight Princess, Skyward Sword, or BoTW Link! This is the original Link, Retro Link or just Link. Instead of Bombs, Arrows, and other items, he would use other items from the older games such as the Magic Rod, Cane of Byrna, Magical Boomerang, and Pegasus Boots.

1. Crash (talk of the town make sense addition)
2. Link (I mean...why not add Link? Seems like a no-brainer to me)
3. Ryu (Mr Video game himself).

While I love wildcard submissions, we are building the core roster up so we need to form a solid basis on which to add future characters on.

Job #2 is a pretty small one, so I think I'll start it right now:

Submit a roster number.
It has to be between 25 and 55. Try to be realistic, but remember since Smash has a pretty big roster, it might be a slightly bigger number. Also this number does NOT include echo fighters. They will have their own number which we will decide later.
We will probably add DLC onto this number BTW.

I’ll give about five more hours to vote for the third character, so if you haven’t voted please do so soon.

Job #2 is still continuing so if you would like to, please submit a roster number for that.

Just letting all of you know, I changed the name of the thread. Anyways...

Here are the results of the voting:

Ryu 4
Pac-Man 8
Frogger 0
Pitfall Harry 2
Crash Bandicoot 10
Link 6

And so... Looks like Crash is gonna be part of the first three to be announced! We'll have a nice trio of 90s mascots for the announcement, which will probably surprise a lot of people once we start adding characters from other genres and with other tones. Great!

Job #2 dosen't exactly need that many submissions, so I think I'll close it soon so we can start the next thing. If you have a last-minute submission for a roster number, now is the time.

Congratulations keleyeemoh keleyeemoh for the winning submission!

Alright, so here's the poll for the roster number. Please vote in it.
Roster Number | StrawPoll.com
Also...

Job #3: Submit a Crash Bandicoot stage

We need a stage for our third character, so submit any stage from the Crash Bandicoot series. Remember, this will be Crash's home stage so pick something iconic. Please add a description of the stage, how it will play, and why it should be included.

Job #3: Upstream
Job #35: Crash Bandicoot Stage

Upstream

Appearance:

Looks virtually identical to its appearance in the N. Sane Trilogy. Since the sky isn’t seen in the stage, I’ll fill in the blanks: the background has an orangeish sky, Cortex’s castle and the Native Fortress can be seen in the background behind the trees, as can a bridge a la the Road to Nowhere linking them together.

Layout and hazards:
With hazards off Upstream is merely a very small Battlefield (not Small Battlefield, just a small version of Battlefield) clone which can feel claustrophobic even with as little as 4 players. It is on a rock (similar to the one the checkpoint crate is on in the attached image) above non-swimmable water, very close to the lower blast zone. That is where the hazards come in: to either the left or right of the rock different platforms will emerge from the water at random intervals, each with unique properties.

The end of level pillar is the most basic, simply appearing then disappearing after 10 seconds.

The man eating plant is a platform that bites every 5 seconds of its 15 second appearance. The first two will merely trap you and serve as a mild annoyance and make you easier to hit while the third will have it drag you to the depths. It shakes a little so you can recognise when it’s about to bite

When big TNT is stood on you bounce a little and it begins the timer, counting from 3 to 0, once it reaches 0 it explodes, it’s quite a big, powerful explosion (albeit not a 1HKO) and reaches to the edge of the main platform. If not activated it disappears after 8 seconds. Occasionally the Big TNT will spawn with Ripper Roo standing on it, as he bounces to activate it instantly, albeit not avoiding the explosion and ending up flying off stage.

The lily pad simply sways back and forth, making it tricky to land on. Disappears after 10 seconds.

Cameos:
A lab assistant can sometimes be seen getting caught up in the current.
Cortex will sometimes fly by on his hoverboard, laughing while holding OG Tawna in his arms, on rare occasion it may be followed up with Tawna riding the hoverboard with a dizzy Cortex hanging on for dear life after an off screen ass-whooping
The aforementioned Ripper Roo cameo

Importance:
Upstream is the fifth level of the first Crash Bandicoot game. While not remarkably important or memorable, it is still a stage a lot of people will have seen considering how early it comes in the game and series.
Maybe not iconic, but still one many will recognise and one that gets the overall series vibe across.

Alright so, the polls results came in and it looks like our base game roster number will be 45. Remember, this number excludes echo fighters. Anyways, Job #3 is still going on so please submit a Crash Bandicoot stage if you want to.

Job #4 will start tomorrow.

Alright so since Job 3 requires quite a bit of knowledge on a certain series not everyone here might’ve played that much, I won’t wait too long for more submissions. At this rate we might get a win by default but that dosent really matter because I like the stage idea.

Anyways, I’m going to start Job #4...

Job #4: Submit Two Characters From New Series
Right now we only have three series in this game, so I think this job will be a good opportunity to get a more series in quickly. You will be submitting two characters from new series, but eventually three characters will be added from this job. Seeing as how our first three characters are from platformers, at least one of the characters you add has to be from a non-platformer series. Also here are the rules regarding resubmissions:

If you would like to resubmit a character you’ve already done, you have to wait at least three jobs. You can resubmit other people’s characters at any point.

Anyways, please include an image of a character, how they would fight, and why they should be in this game.

Here are my submissions:

Ryu:
I’m resubmitting this character because I think he would be a good pick for the first “non-cartoon” character given how iconic he is and recognizable he is. His moveset speaks for itself too.

Rayman:
He’s already one of the most requested characters for smash (in this universe) and his moveset also pretty much speaks for itself. He’s from a very iconic series as well.

Job #4

Pac-Man again and Pyramid Head.

Don't feel like justifying Pac as I already have earlier, but Pyramid would be a huge shock that would prove that this isn't just a silly mashup of wacky characters.

I know nothing about this guy but he'd likely be like Cloud meets Marth with Ganondorf's stats.

JOB #4
ADVENTURER

Our first lightweight character, Adventurer would be given a 3D makeover but still be expressionless and move in the same hovering fashion as he did in the Atari days. He could attack with swords and keys and that kind of thing. He could also reference other Atari games.
I think we should include him as I believe him to be the quintessential retro Smash rep that no one ever brings up. Plus, bringing back a dead character for our gaming crossover proves right off the bat that this isn't just a clash of relevant gaming icons.

LINK
Resubitting Venus' idea as I really like it. Link is a really important character to add early on.

Job #4:
Lara Croft
7D5FE11E-A8E8-4281-9178-42FA292E4313.png

Lara Croft is one of the most iconic playable female characters in the history of gaming. Tomb Raider is a really popular and impactful game series. It helped pave the way for more female led games. Lara Croft could use different types of guns and bow in her moveset.

Chell
16ED27F5-FD7A-4019-B56F-A09AE97E085F.png

Portal is a really iconic and popular game series. Even though there has been only two main series games, it still left a mark with it’s puzzles, mechanics, story/writing, and a iconic villain. Chell could use her portal gun to transport herself and others to different parts of the stage. She could even open up portals to send sentry turrets, lasers, and cubes at opponents.

Job 3

35 Crash Bandicoot Stage

N-SANITY BEACH

APPEARENCE:
It would take cues from all of it's appearances throughout the crash franchise

LAYOUT:

This would be the approximate layout and background (Terrible photoshop not included)

The sand portion is about the size of FD and the blue areas to the side is Water
(The background would have proper scaling)

Occasionally Crates will fall onto the stage there are 3 types

Wumpa Crate

Jumping on this would give you a boost into the air and it will spawn an apple as soon as it's destroyed

TNT Crate

Jumping on this will make it explode after 6 seconds

Nitro Crate

Jumping or hitting this it will explode instantly KOing anyone over 100%

OMEGA AND BATTLEFIELD:
The omega and battlefield forms would look similar everywhere except the bottom part of the stage will look like a temple.

CAMEOS:
These characters will appear at various locations in the background at random
-Coco (We have yet to decide if coco will be an echo or costume so there is a Huge asterisk here)
-Tawna
-Cortex
-Dingodile
-N. Gin
-N. Brio
-N. Tropy
-Crunch
-Nina Cortex
-Lani Loli
-Aku Aku
-Uka Uka
-Tiny Tiger
-Pinstripe Potoroo
-Koala Kong
-Nitrous Oxide

IMPORTANCE:
N-Sanity Beach is the first level of 5 separate Crash games and is the first level of the franchise, because of that fact it is very important to the franchise and is very iconic.

Job 4

Steve

Minecraft is massive and Steve is the playable one from this franchise, He would use his Moveset from Ultimate.

Kirby

Kirby is a lovable pink puffball and could bring some fun variety in moveset and representation

Okay, so it looks like our Crash Bandicoot stage will be N. Sanity Beach. Congratulations cashregister9 cashregister9 for the winning submission!

Once Job #4 finishes, we will likely move towards movesets and alts, just to let you know. I’ll also probably give more specific prompts for character submissions as well.
Anyways, Job #4 is still going so please submit to that if you have any submissions.

I tend to lean more Nintendo with my games, so both of my job #4 submissions will be Nintendo characters. Hope that's okay.

PIKACHU

toppng.com-pikachu-logo-1600x1436.png

Pokémon is the highest-grossing media franchise in the world. It introduced RPGs to a whole new section of gamers, myself included. And while there are many other Pokémon I'd love to add instead, Pikachu is the mascot of the series and just makes sense.

VILLAGER

Raymond_NH.png

Was there a bigger 2020 success story than Animal Crossing: New Horizons? Coming out right at the beginning of all the COVID madness, this game was exactly what so many of us needed: A getaway to a tropical island filled with adorable characters that we didn't have to break quarantine to enjoy. But while I'm calling this character Villager for now, it's actually a different idea than the Villager we currently have in Smash. I was thinking the we could rep the series with the actual animal villagers it's so renowned for, with different alts for different villagers. We could just go with the most popular (based on Nookazon asking price, those would be Raymond, Judy, Sherb, Ankha, Marshal, Lucky, Dom, and either Audie or Coco), or maybe a future job could be deciding with villagers get in? Just spitballing here, obviously not trying to tell Champion of Hyrule Champion of Hyrule how to run this thread.
