Time for the ultimate racing crossover! We will be submitting franchises to base an enormous CTR:NF-style Fortnite-sized racing game off of - with content including 6 Racers with a Skin for each, 2 Tracks, 4 Vehicles, and 3 Wheels (not including ones made to go with vehicles). This isn't PCC, the selections are based entirely in our own biases without importance or marketability playing a part for the most part.

Format - Wario Wario Wario
This would be a group effort event where you get the option of a 1-v-1 race for one week every month. Each brainwashed racer gets a brand new track from the Generix dimension, and introduces a new race or battle mode. Their AI is brutal, rubberbanding is off, and they have an unlimited supply of items while you can only get Oil Tanks (for races) or Tacks (for battles). Every play contributes the the global score, both positively and negatively. A certain percentage (usually slightly under half) of participating players will need to beat the challenge for the entire community to go on to the next - if the community fails, the challenge will be redone the next month, and if the community wins the next brainwashed racer will arrive with their mode and track; the previously introduced mode will be added as an option for lobbies and local play; and the track will become part of online rotation and selectible in lobbies and local play.

Okay, let's think of a series that's ubiquitous. Something everyone knows. A series that's universally understood and yet barely known by the masses. Something that's already seen a kart series of its own, something that's existed for some time. A fun headliner to really sell that anything is possible...

Honestly, Pokemon might be the highest-grossing media franchise out there, but Garfield is one of the few things that both you and your gran can relate to. And hey, Garfield Kart does already exist, so it's not like they'd be new to the medium! In terms of characters:

You know like how Kiryu was in monkey ball. It could be a little bit strange to have this as the first series but that doesn’t necessarily mean we’ll announce it first. The Yakuza games also have racing in them so again, it could actually be really fitting for this game.

Marvel is a huge deal in just about every genre of pop culture, from its origin as comic books, to their movie monopoly, to all kinds of cartoons, books, merchandise… just about everywhere. DC is also pretty big, but I feel like Marvel has the edge on them when it comes to major marketability simply because of their success in the realm of film, allowing more people who wouldn't want to read a comic book or watch some “silly kids cartoon” become immersed in their world and lore.

So anyways which three characters would I submit to start us off with?

First off, the incredibly obvious pick of Spider-Man, who is generally perceived as Marvel’s mascot. And for good reason too.

Secondly, we’ll go with the man who really started off Marvel’s vast film franchise, Iron Man. He was never much of a huge figure in the eye of people who didn’t read the comics until the movie starring him kicked off the infamous MCU, and since then he’s basically Marvel’s second face after Spidey.

And lastly, to slip in not only a female character, but also one who has had hero and villain roles, and has appeared in movies before but never the MCU (so far, anyway, it’s really only a matter of time). I’m submitting Jean Grey. Kind of a weird choice to include her alongside Spidey and Iron Man, but she’s still a vastly significant Marvel character, and I think it would be very fun to have her along for the ride as well.

We have a lot of good crossover choices that I think should get in eventually. However, I voted in all franchises with racing under their belts for the first crossover. Super Mario is a big one, Wacky Races may be a little niche but I consider it a progenitor to things like Mario Kart. SpongeBob, Garfield and Muppets all had racing under their belts.

Wacky Races makes the most sense as the theoretical meat of this crossover sandwich, and it's somewhat niche but at least recognizable enough to where 95% of our target audience could recognize one of the characters as the guy with the funny name from Scoob. Mario and Garfield would have people think it's another Mario Kart/Garfield Kart at first, then get blown away when X Y and Z show up. Muppets makes the most sense as a brand-new kart racing IP, and Disney Princess would just kinda be funny because I feel a lot of our potential audience would be grossed out by the "girl game" kart racer and then be hooked when, idk, Jonesy Fortnite or someone shows up next

They cannot submit any content for their IP of choice beyond their 3 characters - but when voting they get a 3 and two 2s instead of one 3, one 2, and one 1 - does this sound fair? They will be allowed to submit their own content if there's a low enough turnout for a job's end to be delayed however (less than 7 character submissions)

FazDude is not allowed to partake in this job. Donkey Kong, Diddy Kong, Funky Kong, and Pauline are the only allowed DK characters. Wario is the only allowed Wario character. No Yoshi content is off-limits
