So Jump Ultimate-stars in fact the whole Jump Stars series is pretty good. But like what if it embraced anime and manga as a whole not just Jump series? and also embraced some more traditional Platform Fighter mechanics.

This creation thread will do just that. Here are the initial criteria

Goemon Ishikawa XIIILupin The Third
That's right, ladies and gentlemen. Goemon Ishikawa is in the house! (man, Part II's English dub is so good)

Much like Arsene Lupin III and Heiji/Koichi Zenigata VII, Goemon Ishikawa is also the thirteen descendant of his ancestor, who is a historical thief figure as well, being a samurai with impressive skills of swordsmanship and martial arts. In fact, both Lupin and Goemon started as enemies to each other, before they decided to team up as partners, though he less frequently participates in his exploits unlike Daisuke Jigen, a former's best friend/sidekick (does that sound familiar enough?), even easily getting annoyed by his infatuation with women (Fujiko in particular due to her tendency of back-stabbing).

His signature weapon, which has passed throughout generations, the Zantetsuken, allows him to practically cut through anything (even lightning bolts and shooting stars; heck, it has an entire section focusing on it's goddamn power).

When summoned by the player, Goemon will run around and even jump into the air, rapidly slashing opponents with his Zantetsuken and performing back-flip dodges once an opponent attempts to attack him by using his sixth sense called the "Divine Eye" from the special "Goemon's Blood Spray".

Before his time goes out, Goemon will suddenly brandish the Zantetsuken and perform his last attack by rushing at the nearest opponent at lightning speeds, striking them with "Secret Technique: Lightning Cut" while doing tremendous damage similarly to Lyn's Assist Trophy. Goemon puts the Zantetsuken back to it's sheath and says his iconic "Once again, I have cut a worthless object." before de-spawning.
Shotaro KanedaAkira
Shōtarō Kaneda is the main protagonist of the manga franchise Akira, which was created by Katsuhiro Otomo in 1982 and well-remembered as a phenomenal anime classic six years later (1988), which still holds well to this very day as one of the best animated science fiction films of all time. He is an anti-heroic, brash, carefree delinquent and the leader of a motorcycle gang, who used to be best friends with Tetsuo Shima, a member who he has known since childhood, but their friendship was ruined after Tetsuo gained and abused his psychic powers, becoming involved with the terrorist resistance movement and attempts to stop Tetsuo from causing destruction while having developed a strong romantic bond with their member Kei.

Both the manga and anime are so influential to the point that they have inspired multiple creations throughout years such as Fist of the North Star, Ghost in the Shell, Battle Angel Alita, Cowboy Bebop, Final Fantasy VII, Metal Gear Solid & Snatcher, Half-Life, Cyberpunk 2077 (with Kaneda's bike), etc. and even Star Wars itself (prequel trilogy and Clone Wars). SNK even created a character named K9999 for The King of Fighters (there you go, Mr. Robotto Mr. Robotto Mr. Robotto Mr. Robotto !), who resembles Tetsuo to the point Toho apparently sued them. The former even has a English imprint by Marvel Comics themselves back in 1988 to coincidence with the film's release. There's also a upcoming anime series, which works as a continuation to the original film by Otomo himself.

Once summoned, Kaneda rides around the stage on his futuristic high-tech motorcycle, going at high fast speeds and turns around by drifting in a iconic sliding pose, basically acting as a way faster, reacting version of Wario's bike special move in Smash. This briefly leaves him open and allows fighters to destroy his motorcycle with a few hits, which doesn't defeat him yet. Instead, he will pull out the ARASAKA HLR-12X Heavy Laser Rifle to shoot laser beam projectiles at opponents while aiming the rifle around him and dodging physical/melee attacks.

The reason why I chose Kaneda as a support character, was since I have an another character from Akira in my mind as a fighter, Tetsuo Shima himself, because of his powers giving him more versatility and being a likely example of how some franchises would be represented with only villains alone.
AsukaEvangelion
The German exchange student. When summoned, Asuka will attack with her lance, fighting opponents before summoning her EVA to deliver a final blow.
LulucoSpace Patrol Luluco
My submission would be Luluco (Also knowed has Trigger-chan) from Space Patrol Luluco. I kinda like her more has a playable char but if we have another Trigger char most likely would be Akko or someone from Darling in the Franxx so yeah I choose her for this job.
Luluco would fight alongside Alpha Omega Nova, her partner and love interest using their Gun forms (basically being a two for one assist). FIGHT FOR JUSTICEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
BaronThe Cat Returns
Baron is a statue of a cat that comes to life at night. As an assist, Baron would spin his cane in front of him and attack with it like a dueling saber.

Explosive TagNaruto
The Explosive Tag is a weapon that comes attached with a kunai, being a scrap of paper inscribed with a special writing which centers around the kanji (爆), exploding after a set amount of time, remotely or after being ignited by a chakra-infused flame. It was first seen in Chapter 46 (The Password is...?!) of the Naruto manga, where Oboro used it against Sasuke Uchiha after discovering he was disguised as Naruto Uzumaki.

In Anime All-Stars, this item functions similarly like it did in Super Smash Flash 2. When picked up, the player can throw it in-front of them as it slowly flies forward before sticking on-contact with an opponent or surface. The tag will then start igniting for a few seconds, rapidly burning from the bottom and then explodes once it is fully on fire, blowing the opponent away with medium damage.

Gamemodes

Job #9: New Gamemode - Arcade Mode

It's exactly what a title said on the tin, so this part will get quite simple to tell here. It is a traditional arcade mode which consists of multiple normal rounds (up to like 8 rounds), with a bonus mini-game as the fourth round and the seventh one being a rivalry fight with a preceding cutscene akin to PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale (match-ups like Goku/Astro Boy for our legit "Sonic vs. Mario/Mega Man" counterpart, Lupin/Ryotsu as a typical "cop-vs-criminal" fight or Luffy as heroic monkey-faced thieves, Naruto/Deku, Ichigo/Guts, Ryuko Matoi/Devilman, Kenshiro/Jotaro, Spike/Harlock hence Vicious, Doraemon/Arale, Sailor Moon/Seiya, Tetsuo/Shinji, Joe Shimamura/Casshan, etc. - sorry if I went overboard, but there's lots of possibilities) and a following final round being the boss battle against one of the various bosses (like Perfect Cell, Dio Brando, Pluto from Astro Boy, Queen Beryl from Sailor Moon, Ryo Asuka/Satan from Devilman, Berserk's Griffith, etc.).

After the boss fight, a crossover ending with various other anime series besides the player's controlled character will play, drawn in colored panels similarly to a typical manga storyboard. They are based on those from Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds and it's "Ultimate" update, such as (pardon me for un-confirmed characters, just wrote these for potential ideas):
  • To ensure peace throughout the multiverse, Atom/Astro Boy formed a Justice League-like robotic superhero team consisting of himself as a leader, Joe Shimamura (Cyborg 009 - Tezuka mentored Ishinomori and had their own exhibit; literally quite fast as heck), Doraemon (as a reference to Atom Cat from the manga and a 2019 cartoon), Cutie Honey (as she is an android and a female member would be necessary), Casshan (also known as Casshern from the same-named anime - he's quite badass and another Mega Man inspiration), Mazinger Z and Shinji Ikari piloting the Evangelion Unit-01, similarly to Nova's ending in Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3.
  • Joe Shimamura and Francoise Arnoulmeets up with Casshan, his sidekick Friender and partner Luna Kozuki, before they got involved in a suddenly happening nuclear war close by and faced the one who started it, Casshan's arch-enemy, the Braiking Boss, with his mechanical minions.
    • This references both characters' similarities for being teenager-like cyborg heroes with quick reflexes when it comes to speed, who were originally built to serve their enemies (at least in a reboot, Casshern Sins, for latter). Would be brought up if Casshan becomes a fighter with his moveset/aspects from Tatsunoko vs. Capcom.
  • Doraemon and Nobita Nobi getting into a huge, gag-filled shenanigan with Arale Norimaki in Penguin Village, as a reference to their shared manga genre and both being robots.
  • Tetsuo Shima (from Akira) facing off the Z-Fighters in a destructive battle, overpowering them due to his legitimately terrifying powers, until Beerus shows up, declaring that there's only one god to exist in "this part of the multiverse", starting up their un-resolved fight.
  • Kankichi Ryotsu teaming up with Koichi Zenigata in attempt to capture Arsene Lupin III, but they both ended up failing due to their incompetentness (considering how things go to Ryotsu in both manga/anime incarnations of Kochikame, and Zenigata being mostly bumbling in animes, compared to his more serious self in Monkey Punch's original manga - they also made a crossover together once).
  • Gin (from Ginga: Nagareboshi Gin - a essay), with the help of Inuyasha (as a half-demon/half-dog), San and her wolves from Princess Mononoke as an army (some Studio Ghibli representation would be appreciated), prepares to face up a demonic bear Akakabuto, who is apparently revived and now much bigger with some essence from the death side of Forest Spirit.
  • Spike Spiegel, Jet Black and Faye Valentine getting involved with a few space pirates like Captain Harlock, Cobra (from Space Adventure Cobra) and their crews (those of the Arcadia - one of anime's coolest spaceships; and Lady Armaroid respectively).
When a credits scene is over, the player will be awarded with unlockables such as a new fighter, an alternate non-palette costume or a clip of an anime show/film such as Atom facing Frankenstein in the 1980 series, Joe escaping from an atomic bomb explosion, a car chase in The Castle of Cagliostro, Devilman fighting Psycho Jenny, Goku's first time transforming into a Super Saiyan during his battle against Frieza, Luffy finishing off Rob Lucci, Akira's iconic motorcycle scene, Usagi's first transformation as Sailor Moon, etc. A latter award type is based on unlockable episodes in the PlayStation 2 version of Cartoon Network Racing.
Komas and Cells (These are basically support spirits only they take the form of specific Manga Panels and Specific Anime frames)

Well... let's get excitable.

Character Name: Jotaro Kujo
Character Series: JoJo's Bizarre Adventure
Character Origin: JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Chapter 70 (Jotaro Kujo, Part 1)

1636167088336.png

A 17 year old delinquent from Japan, imbued with the power of his Stand - Star Platinum - Jotaro is here to beat down his opponents! Utilising his Stand as a midrange combat tool, and being able to kick ass alone and with Star Platinum by his side, he's sure to have a unique moveset compared to many other fighters here!

Character Name: Vash the Stampede
Character Series: Trigun
Character Origin: Trigun Chapter 0 - High Noon at July

1636167839207.png

Aside from looking incredibly cool, and being the quintessential Space Cowboy, Vash's playstyle likely revolves around his use of his various weapons. These would include a cybernetic machine-gun in place of his left arm, a knife he hides in his boot, and especially his trademark .45 Long Colt! I imagine he could also use the Punisher (a massive and incredibly powerful cross-shaped gun he takes from one of his enemies and uses in a particular battle) and even, as a super powerful attack? He could quite well use his abilities as a Plant in order to manifest his Angel Arm. Trigun is a series that... doesn't get enough love, really, and I think Vash both in terms of gameplay and character would fit pretty well here!

Abstain on SJ, KoJ beat me to Jotaro and I feel he should a base roster character, will absolutely submit SJ after this round but Jotaro needs in first imo.

Conan Edogawa
1636171282850.png

Conan Edogawa (real name Shinichi Kudo) is the brilliant teenage detective with far more athletic ability than what should be possible, Conan has tons of potential for movesets using gadgets like his Power-Enhancing Kick Shoes, Stun-Gun Wristwatch, Turbo Engine Skateboard, Anywhere Ball Dispensing Belt, a Drone, etc.

Reasons to consider him are pretty straight forward. He stars in the 5th best selling manga, one of the longest running Anime, popular over in Japan, and the character would fit well in a fighting game.

Job 1:
Shonen Newcomer:
Light Yagami (Death Note)

Yagami Light is main character of Death Note series. He is a person, who holds the Deth Not and he writes the Criminals' names in his note to Kill Them.
His moveset potential could have some original Moveset, but he could use his Signature Weapon: DEATH NOTE and he could drain opponents' life with no problem.

Non-Shonen Pick:
Shinra Kusakabe (Fire Force)

Shinra Kusakabe is main character of Fire Force series. He is Pyromaniac of the Neo Tokyo from Solar Year 198 and he uses his power of Fire like his Friends like Maki Oze.

His Moveset would consist of Fiery Moves and Pyrokinesis that could make your opponent TOASTY!

Hey, If you want to see them, just vote for them!

Jump:

Kenshiro (Fist of the North Star)

First of the North Star is a classic series that would go on to inspire many others. Kenshiro is just a really cool character who could have a really fun moveset.

Non Jump:

Spike Spiegel (Cowboy Bebop)

A character from a beloved series with a fun personality. Spike would use a mix of martial arts and guns. They could even tie his reveal into the upcoming live action series.

I like this.

Job #1
Shounen Jump
Seiya - Saint Seiya
Seiya_Render_1.png
Seiya is the titular protagonist of the Saint Seiya franchise. A legendary series that has been running in Shounen Jump Weekly from 1986 to 1990 for its original run. He was one of 100 orphans sent around the world in order to become Saints, which are basically knights of the universe. After 7 years of training in Greece, Seiya defeats his rival Cassios before receiving the Pegasus Cloth, which made him a Bronze Pegasus Saint. At the beginning of the series, his main objective is to find his older sister Seika, who disappeared when he was sent to Greece to train to become a Saint. However, as Seiya starts fighting alongside the other Bronze Saints, albeit reluctantly at first, his motivations shift to the protection of Athena, the Goddess of War and Wisdom.

So why should he be in? He is a very iconic figure from Shounen Jump ever since its inception. His moveset also writes for itself: Pegasus Ryu Sei Ken as his neutral special (being chargable), Pegasus Rolling Crash as his side-special, etc... Well, all in all, he should definitely be in the starting roster given his legacy status.

Non-Shounen Jump
Arsène Lupin III - Lupin The Third

Lupin_III_Part_II_transparent.png

Lupin III is the grandson of Arsène Lupin and the titular protagonist of the Lupin the Third franchise. Lupin is considered the world's greatest thief, known for announcing his intentions to steal valuable objects by sending a calling card to their owners. His right-hand man and best friend is Daisuke Jigen, an expert marksman who can accurately shoot a target in 0.3 second. Although Lupin and Jigen frequently work as a two-man team, they are often joined by Goemon Ishikawa XIII, a master swordsman whose sword can cut anything and someone who has been growing fairly close to the duo as time came on. Fujiko Mine is also someone who tags along, she is a femme fatal and Lupin's love interest. Although Fujiko usually works together with the others, she occasionally exploits Lupin's interest in her to steal the treasure for herself. Lupin and his gang are constantly chased by Inspector Koichi Zenigata (Sherlock Holmes appears in Part 6 though!), who has made it his life's work to arrest them, pursuing Lupin across the globe. Sounds similar? Well that's because this series was one of the primary inspirations of Persona 5! Heck, Persona 5 even outright references it with the iconic Lupin run duirng the opening of the game!

Lupin the Third is a manga and anime series with tons of legacy behind it, it originated in the 60's and is still relevant to this day with Part 6 going in full swing. Critical reception of the franchise has always been largely positive across its various incarnations, with the appeal of the lead characters being noted as the primary factor of the series' success (that voice acting is amazing, I tell you man). It also had an amazing 3D movie adaption 2 years ago, which everyone here should definitely check out.

Meliodas, The Dragon Sin of Wrath, would be a fairly defensive fighter. Meliodas is cool, so be sure to vote for him!

Great minds think alike. I considered on submitting Arsene Lupin III at first, but decided to choose this character below instead, as he has more presence and influence in the manga/anime history.

Job #1: New Non-Shonen Jump Fighter
Astro Boy (Astro Boy/Mighty Atom)

Atom, also known as Astro Boy, is the titular protagonist of the eponymous franchise, which was created by The God of Manga himself, Osamu Tezuka, in 1951 (making him much older than everyone else in a roster). He is a young android/robot built with human emotions, who was originally created by Doctor Umataro Tenma to replace his son Tobio, after he died in a traffic accident. (trust me, it's quite sad and tragic) He was eventually sold to Ham Egg's robot circus before Doctor Ochanomizu brought him back as his surrogate son figure, who occasionally helps the Ministry of Science and world governments in various adventures, while trying to live a human-like life with his family such as a little sister, Uran.

The manga itself (a video is highly recommended) is one of the most successful Japanese franchises in the world (sold approximately 100 million copies and been made 3 years before Godzilla), having influenced many other authors in the industry itself thanks to his importance and legacy (which means that without him, Pokemon doesn't even exist). Atom himself has made multiple appearances in Tezuka's own universe called "Tezuka Star System" (in which SEGA's Omega Factor is based on, alongside a 2003 anime), registered as a citizen/resident in April 7th, 2003 (his birthday in the manga), etc. The original 1963 show was the first anime, which was broadcast and became popular in overseas alongside Speed Racer, even with two remakes (1980 and 2003), Urasawa's re-telling called "Pluto", a prequel and a CGI movie made in 2009. He was also the inspiration for Capcom's iconic video game hero, Mega Man, since they originally intended to develop a game based on him, before they were turned down (they finally met each other in an art exhibit the last year and months ago).

In other words, Astro Boy is pretty much the legendary icon, like both Mickey Mouse and Superman by his respective roles as a mascot and superhero in the Japanese culture, considering that Tezuka himself was inspired by Walt Disney's movies (even once meeting him in 1964 New York's World Fair and a latter having seen the anime) and been a honorary chairman of Japan's Superman fan club. Witness his epic moments in the 1980 anime, and the original show's first episode in Japanese/English (can get quite cheesy; also, he dominated the KKK).

For his moveset possibilities, Atom relies on his various different super-powers and abilities to fight against opponents, such as his signature flight ability with rocket jets on his legs (can also be used for powerful dash attacks), superhuman strength (don't f-word with our robot boy, or else), scanning sensors (which may be used for a Incineroar-like counter/buff-eliminator move, depending on range), searchlights on his eyes (for stunning enemies), laser beams from his fingers & arm cannon, and of course, infamous machine guns in his rear/hips. He can maybe even use them creatively like utilizing arm jets as flamethrowers, extending his head for headbutts/shocking opponents and using almost all of them at the same time for a death blossom-like attack.

Job #2: New Shonen Jump Fighter-Represented Stage - Thousand Sunny (One Piece)

(a ship's anime design and stage layout respectively)

The second and current ship of Luffy's crew, the Straw Hat Pirates, which is a fairly big uneven stage and works certainly similar to it's appearance in Super Smash Flash 2, so pardon me on copy-pasting a little.

In the left portion, two huge crates are seen stacked on top of each other, with a plank serving as a slope next to them. On the right half of the stage, there are even more crates simply next to each other. Above them, there are two soft platforms one above the other, with the one on top being fairly long. The left ledge is located at one of the crates, making it oddly tall and difficulting some characters' recoveries.

Assuming that we're having only one character per series akin to PlayStation All-Stars (which would be more fair, rather than over-filling a roster with Dragon Ball/JoJo characters), the Straw Hat Pirates themselves, such as Zoro, Sanji, Nami, Usopp, Franky, Nico Robin, Brook, Jinbe and Chopper appear as background cameos, who all strike a pose (except Zoro, who's sleeping next to his three swords) when someone gets KO'd.

Hidden Leaf Village
Naruto's home village. Works similarly to the version seen in Super Smash Flash 2, but is a fair bit bigger. It's not in the air in this version. The various shops and houses can be stood on and parts of them can be destroyed. Various characters from the series make cameos on the stage.

Ground Beta (MHA)

The main setting of My Hero Academia. The Stage takes place at roof of building and its has Flat FD like layout. The Camoes are Quirk-equipped Students like Himiko Toga, who are in Background watching the Battle. Also, there are also low additional roofs next to main like on other side of Stage.

VOTING IS HERE

I don't know if tracklists for stages are separate jobs, though.

Also, didn't Dragon Ball, One Piece and Bleach's anime adaptations come in 1986, 1999 & 2004 respectively (as you used debut dates of their original manga versions)? cashregister9 cashregister9 cashregister9 cashregister9
Tracklists are separate jobs

I did use the manga start dates on purpose

Hidden Leaf Village from Naruto is the first stage!

Job 3:

Submit a Helper and a Support character from a currently represented series

This terminology was taken directly from Jump Ultimate Stars.

Supports directly interact with the fight and characters, They can be KO'd

Helpers passively interact with the fight, They cannot be KO'd and mainly focus on either buffing or debuffing players or affecting the whole match.

Helpers and Supports do disconfirm

Time to bring up something obscure.

Job #3: New Support Character - Cobra (Space Adventure Cobra)

Cobra is the eponymous protagonist of the 1978 manga franchise, which was written for Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine by Buichi Terasawa with some inspirations borrowed from spaghetti western, James Bond and Disney (according to him). The series' story is set in the far future, where Cobra lives an adventurous life as a space pirate until his enemies begin to hunt him down, attempting to live a normal life by surgically altering his face and erasing his own memory to hide from his foes. Eventually, he regains his memories and reunites with his former partner Lady Armaroid, a mechanical cyborg.

The manga has sold 50 million copies, making it one of Weekly Shōnen Jump's best-selling manga series of all time. It spawned various sequel series, one-shots, a feature-length anime film (in 1982), two anime television series (a 31-episode series also in 1982, and a 13-episode series in 2010), two original video animations/OVAs, audio albums, video games, and other merchandise. It also worked as one of the inspirations for SEGA's Space Harrier, created by Yu Suzuki and has some ties with Lupin the Third.

When summoned into the battle, Cobra will run around, dodging opponents' attacks with back-flips and using the signature Psychogun on his arm to shoot homing energy beams at opponents, which he controls by his mind to bend them. He may also sometimes quickly shoot them with a weaker, yet fast-shooting Python 77 Magnum revolver (akin to Joker's Neutral Special).

NOTE: If he was submitted as a fighter and we're going for rivalry matches akin to PlayStation All-Stars, Cobra and Spike seems like they fit to each other (while Luffy & Lupin are heroic, monkey-faced thieves with black hair).

So the prompt was to submit supports and helpers for series currently represented but due to lack of submissions and me liking this submission I will void that rule for this job

The job will stay open a little bit longer with the new changes.

Job 3:
Himiko Toga (MHA)

Himiko Toga is a Villain Character from My Hero Academia Anime and Manga series. She is the student of Ground Zero and she has Quirk Ability to transform into Someone.

When Summoned, she acts like a Helper and she could shapeshift into Enemy like Ditto and attack at the same time as Summoner.
She Can be KOed.

I nominate Toga, because she could be fun Assist for the Game. Also, she could be unique character for Helper role. She could have so much fun being a Helper summoned by you during Friendly Battles.

Support:

Wild Wild Pussycats (My Hero Academia)

This is a team of heroes within the universe of MHA

Mandalay would stand in the back communicating to the others with her quirk while the others use theirs to attack opponents

Pixie-bob will create giant damaging pillars similar to Toph's strong down. in NASB
Ragdoll would attack opponents with physical claw swipes
Tiger would deliver powerful physical attacks and always manages to dodge all attacks with their quirk.

Helper:

Bartolomeo (One Piece)

Bartolomeo would appear and summon a barrier around the summoner that makes the user invincible until Barto leaves.

Well, you can exclude my post when a voting period starts up, though if so (may consider submitting him in later prompts). Sorry for a little inconvenience (should've sworn that I didn't notice it).

Faye Valentine (Cowboy Bebop)

A main character from Cowboy Bebop and one of, if not the most, popular characters. A wanted criminal who allies herself with the crew to stay alive, but who becomes an important member. When summoned she will attack, using her gun and martial arts abilities. Her attitude is on show because when done she will sigh and light up a cigarette before flicking it away.

Hmm... I guess this sounds like fun!

Character Name: Fumikage Tokoyami
Character Series: My Hero Academia
Character Origin: My Hero Academia: Chapter 3 (2014)

1636599786465.png

An edgy teenager with a "demon" that he can control as an extension of his own body, due to it being directly connected to the person's own body? This sounds... familiar somehow.

Jokes aside, I think there would be many more important MHA characters to submit than Tokoyami, so he gets my vote here. His moveset mostly revolves around his use of his Quirk, Dark Shadow - being able to use it to claw in front of him. I imagine Dark Shadow wouldn't have an actual hitbox - rather, Tokoyami himself is the hitbox, but hitting him would cancel his attacks with Dark Shadow. When summoned, Dark Shadow will manifest in front of, or behind, Tokoyami - being able to claw rapidly at opponents whilst looking to the sky, screaming. (He's an edgy boi.)

Well, since Cobra is seemingly ineligible for this prompt, I had to change a submission myself (but don't want to throw my research into waste), so apologize me on a possible double post, cashregister9 cashregister9 .

Job #3: New Support Character - Goemon Ishikawa XIII (Lupin the Third)

Job #5: New Fighters

Shonen Jump - Kenshiro (Fist of the North Star)

As @Darkonedagger's post said since I'm re-submitting this character for him and Mr. Robotto Mr. Robotto , Fist of the North Star is a classic which inspired many other mangas and animes with it's cool characters and stories.

Having trained in a deadly martial art style known as Hokuto Shinken, Kenshiro has access to various powerful melee attack techniques and even use a ki aura for various purposes like absorbing energy attacks, able to summon air pressure shockwaves by slicing his hand forward with Nanto Seiken and even fly into the air. Also, he can skillfully use weapons such as spears, nunchucks, and a 6 sectioned staff. He even appeared in few fighting games (a linked one is developed by Guilty Gear and BlazBlue's Arc System Works), with this moveset demonstrating how his skills would work out.

Non-Shonen Jump - Doraemon (Doraemon)

(now that Astro Boy's in, why not finish up the Mount Rushmore? Both Robotto and Yiptap agreed with me in Discord)

Doraemon is the eponymous protagonist of a titular Japanese media franchise, which started as a manga series created by Fujiko Fujio (writing team Hiroshi Fujimoto and Motoo Abiko) and published by Shogakukan with following media such as animes (the first show aired in 1973 - one of which Disney licensed for North America in 2014), movies, video games, etc. The character himself is considered to be an iconic figure in Japan, even having been appointed as the country's "anime ambassador" by it's Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 2008 and showing up in a Tokyo Olympics announcement alongside Mario himself. He was even the only 4th-party character written on Sakurai's hypothetical "Smash sequel" poll.

He is a blue, earless robot cat from the 22nd century, who travels back in time to the 20th century, to help improve the miserable life of a pre-teen loser boy named Nobita Nobi, who will become the great-great-grandfather of Sewashi, Doraemon's friend. The franchise's story focuses on Doraemon often trying to help Nobita with his gadgets from the 22nd century, but they often get misused by Nobita himself with hilarious results. It's genre pretty much represents "comical slice of life" stuff with some science fiction aspects, unlike other popular animes which heavily focuses on action, fantasy and adventure instead.

While his series doesn't focus on action that much (except in anime films), Doraemon can make use of his iconic gadgets (there's thousands of them, though earlier links apply only on combat-applicable ones) for moveset possibilities such as a Take-copter on his head to fly around, the Anywhere Door for a teleporting recovery, the Air Cannon to shoot air bullet projectiles, the Small Light to temporarily shrink opponents, the Time-Stop Watch for a Witch Time-like counter move, three Mini-Doras as Pikmin-like helpers, a literal Bomb of Mass Destruction, etc. Maybe we would utilize some of them in a random inventory move involving his 4D Pocket, akin to Hero's Command Selection?
