Anime Vote:

1. Son Goku - As one of the few anime characters that has transcended beyond global barriers, Goku needs to be in this game. The best part is, you can do either version of him and still eke out a fun moveset.
2. Sailor Moon - Another character from Japan that has transcended boundaries, Sailor Moon is what all Disney princesses wish they were: Pretty in many colors, able to defend the world with help from friendship, and can eat sweets without worrying about body weight. As such, it's an easy vote in favor of Usagi Tsukino.
3. Lupin III - I know we had submitted at least two Hanna-Barbera characters for this roster, but Arsene Lupin III has more in common with that studio than you'd realize. It doesn't hurt that his franchise has inspired the direction of DreamWorks' modern franchise staple The Bad Guys.
4. Kenshiro - I believe Astro Boy will get his spotlight eventually, but I would argue Kenshiro has just as much clout as half the others on the shortlist.

Bugs Bunny's Stage:

1. The Woods - I'm not going to mince words here. Everyone and their Uncle Matilda knows about The Hunting Trilogy, so why not lean in on it?
2. What's Opera, Doc? - I'm giving this stage the edge over The Medieval Castle due to its more interesting stage title. But frankly, all three of these fit well for Bugs' home stage from an animation perspective.

Job 8: Gameplay

I would simply pilfer the mechanics of Nick All-Star Brawl 2 for use in this game, except I'd replace the Slime for Paint with the same function in mind.

Job 9: Betty Boop's Stage

I will admit that choosing a stage for Betty Boop will be hard, due to her relative obscurity compared to the other fighters. However, I think I have a conclusive answer to this job.

I submit Blunderland.

Taken from the 1934 short Betty in Blunderland, this stage is a loose adaptation of Lewis Carroll's Alice books, as interpretated in early-1930s, post-Hays Code animation. The stage begins on a puzzle board, only to be transported through a mirror into Blunderland itself, until the Jabberwock takes control of the stage and resets it back to the puzzle.

I will also admit that selecting an Assist for this game will be tough going forward, considering how many animated characters we have to choose from over 120+ years of history.

However, after further consulting, I have decided on a character that has made their mark in pop culture in less than a decade.

Ladies, gentlemen, dog lovers of all breeds, I summon forth...

Yes, one of the most famous Australian cartoon characters ever created, if not THE most famous to begin with. Bluey has already cemented herself as one of the top dogs in cartoons, pun intended.

However, what sets her back in my eyes is how recent she is in comparison. Now, if the next generation of children winds up loving this show as much as today's kids (and adults) do, then I'll change my tune and welcome the heeler into the game as a fighter. Until then, my opinion will remain unchanged.

As for what she can do, how about she dances to her own beat while the fight breaks out? However, if you attack her, or worse, throw her off the stage, you lose health and/or lives for doing so.

I'm being a bit restrictive right now just because I dunno how many item slots we have. Not counting out some of these others from appearing later (and I think I'm being outnumbered here anyway). I particularly like the Anvil and Pixar Ball nominations though. Chemical X I just wanna save til we see some CN acknowledgement, and Spinach... great idea, but since Popeye is on the roster I think I'd rather wait and see how he uses Spinach in his moveset? There's probably room for both, but I think I'd wanna see how we decide on that.

I want to remind everyone that we're voting on the younger version of Goku, I'm not sure if that's what everyone wants. I don't care that much one way or the other, I think both have their merit. Sailor Moon gets the edge because I wanna boost our female roster though, and Astro Boy / Lupin III are more appealing to me right now since they're more "classical" picks. For now, I want to emphasize seniority just like we did with Mickey / Bugs.

The Woods are definitely more of a "catch all" stage, but I love how vibrant and fun the setting of What's Opera Doc is. It'd honestly be kinda fun if all the stages are based around specific setpieces like that. I'm fine with either of these though.

Job 9: Mystery Cave (from "Snow White")

A flat stage with a scrolling background, referenced from this iconic scene from 1933's Snow White. Perhaps Koko the Clown is putting on his famous rotoscoped performance while strange ghosts and ghouls haunt the stage, maybe the Queen inflicts magic spells? Would probably prefer it to be a floating hazard over a walk-off, but I suppose either one works.

Job 10: Speed Racer (Speed Racer)

One of the first big anime to crossover into our cultural zeitgeist, I feel like Speed Racer is certainly notable enough for some recognition but may not be the most compelling fighter. I guess we could do kind of a Kamen Rider / Captain Falcon thing, but given the roster's limited scope I think it'd be fine to have Speed hop into his car and zoom around the stage for a bit.

Scrat is like an ideal assist trophy because despite being the mascot of Ice Age and Blue Sky Studios in general, I don't think there's enough interest there to make him a full character. His role would play similar to how he is in the movies, a sudden acorn bounces onto the screen followed by Scrat in hot pursuit causing chaos wherever he goes. If you are in Scrat's way, he jumps on and scratches inflicting damage before going back after that acorn.

Treehouse of Horror is a fan favorite, iconic part of The Simpsons seeing a new edition every season (except Season 34 for some reason) since its debut in Season 2.

Stage takes place at Barts Treehouse during Halloween with a nighttime setting, fall leaves, & Halloween decor (pumpkins, spider webs, etc). Stage would transition similar to Castle Siege to a couple iconic Treehouse of Horror locations such as Hell & Kang & Kodos UFO.

Game Mode: Toon Force Mode
In a game mode based on Mortal Kombat's Test Your Luck, a mode mainly focused for fun crazy antics. Full of random modifiers that change anything from limbs being erased with eraser so it's hard to do certain moves, ability to perform special moves at any times, even random explosions that you have to dodge. Also every now and then the animation can completely change format to something like claymation, anime, 8-bit, 3D etc with each type of animation having it's own strengths and weaknesses

Alternate Costumes: 7 is good but I also like round numbers so 10 Costumes alongside the normal attire each.

Homer Track: Hit & Showdown!

In a stage heavily influenced by the extremely popular Simpsons Video Game Hit & Run, you get to fight on top of the pink sedan (This version does have a roof like the actual tv show version. If Homer is fighting, replace the car with Marge's) as it goes on it's way through Springfield and all of it's fun places like the Kwik E-Mart, Evergreen Terrance and even the underground of the power plant just like in the game. Obviously the stagehazards are the Springfield residents themselves, at one point Ralph Wiggum is launched onto the car and you can use him as a weapon as he shouts "I'm helping!"

If the timer runs out, the car is taken by the UFO.

I submit Bumper Car-Toons. In this mode, you and up to four other players can choose a fighter to go head-to-head in a round of bumper cars. Whoever stands last after every other fighter has been bumped off wins the game.

For a game with as many variables as this, having to blend multiple artstyles and licensing agreements at once, I think we should go for a lighter number and do three alternate costumes per character. Sure, that would make choosing skins harder for some than others, (Looking at you, Bugs.) but the budget has to come from somewhere.

Job 13: Homer Stager

I submit Moe's Tavern for Homer's stage.

Come in for a drink at the cromulent (and totally legal) Moe's Tavern. But beware of anything, from barfights with cameo appearances from other Fox shows (namely the Seth MacFarlane and Matt Groening ones), prank calls from Bart Simpson, or even a hurricane blowing away the stage for a hot minute.

Koko the Clown is a good nod, but I have him referenced in my stage idea too. So maybe we'll see how that pans out?

Gertie could honestly be a stage (hazard) if we wanted, but AT works fine too. Or playable... whatever, really.

For clarity, one costume is the default and five alternate costumes are added. Just like in Brawl.

Job 13: Springfield Nuclear Power Plant

A somewhat obvious choice, but I think it's the right one - Homer's place of employment, the Springfield Power Plant. This would be a large stage where fighters battle atop the plant, involving floating platforms hovering over the reactors (which can also be fought on, but you can fall inside). An alarm will sound off before a vat of nuclear waste is raised between the reactors - fighters who fall inside will be inflicted with a burn, but also develop a "mutation" effect such as a change in size or temporary speed adjustment. It's kind of a gamble, whether you want to risk a positive status effect and sacrifice some health or avoid the vat altogether in case you grow tiny or slow.

Honorable mention to the Springfield Gorge, that'd have been my second nomination. Perhaps this can be a potential Bart home stage down the line?

The next character job is you have to submit a character from an animation movie to be a fighter, you can have suggestions for characters of movies from companies (Disney, DreamWorks, Pixar, BlueSky, Sony Animation and etc), Anime movies are allowed like Studio Ghibli, and you can't submit live-action versions as The Smurfs, Alvin and The Chimpchumks, Disney's Live-Actions and other ones

and before i forgot,the moveset submissions are open,but you have to give the moveset that is Lights,Strongs,Specials and Throw Attacks

Collectible:
Film Reels
Contains shorts, episodes, clips, trailers, and behind the scenes featurettes for animated works. I think having a Collectible that doesn't follow the general "here's a character and a description for said character" could be fun and refreshing compared to other threads.

Fighter:
Shrek
I think we should probably continue filling out the basics, a DreamWorks rep is the next logical step. That and Pixar, but Maybe we should hold back on adding what is technically a third Disney rep so soon, considering Mickey & Homer.
