Results for our Weekly event on 12/23. I want to personally thank everyone for making this the most successful xanadu tournament we've ever seen. A Special thanks goes to the VGBC crew (Aposl, TK, GimR) who always chip in on any aspect of the event to keep things running smoothly. Another special thanks to Res and EE for their commentary expertise they bring to the event (at no charge) week after week. Want to also take a moment to thank Delaware for bringing multiple cars as well as New Jersey. Also, the folks from Fredericksburg, VA (further than delaware) came out as well, so that and our strong booming local scene have contributed to an excellent event focused in one game at a location where there is no metro, no real public trans, and always a pain to get to due to traffic. I get a lot of compliments about these events, but what really makes these events amazing are you all (although i'd wish you'd clean up your trash a little bit). I hope everyone had a lot of fun at the event. Obviously we knew it was going to run late, we ran what smashboards would consider a National tournament (120+ entrants) in just under 6 hours (we started around 8:20pm). That's 256 total tournament matches, or an average of 42 vs matches per hour. Considering the back half of bracket cannot utilize all the setups, this is quite the accomplishment.

We have tons and tons of new entrants that were here for the first time this week- our environment is incredibly welcoming and open to new folks and players are not afraid to ask question and help out.

I had a great time and it was awesome seeing everyone again as well as seeing all the new people to the scene.

Maybe I'll pop up again soon who knows? It all depends on how well my family's company can hold/improve.
