Smash Ultimate "Ranked" Mode

Do you guys know how I can unlock the "ranked" mode in Smash Ultimate online or the more competitive mode (the one they talked about in the direct)? A lot of people are saying you get it when you hit 450,000 GSP on a character, which I have done for K. Rool, but nothing unlocked?!

there is a ranked mode? with that much lag online pls no :D i have charakter with 580k gsp and still no "ranked mode"

Hey guys. I just got this "Elite"-mode by just reaching like 700k points online. I don't have any information how well it works, but i kinda unlocked it. Click here for image.

It’s all ranked you just go into the “elite” mode once you get a high enough score.

Elite battles are monitored for future balance patches that’s the only difference.
