Emily Rogers said she disagrees with everything Mystic said. Mystic has actually agreed that she is probably the more accurate one, and is locking down his account because he expects angry people for getting it all wrong.

For the record, Mystic said Isaac and Geno were in, and Emily says she completely disagrees with him. He now agrees with her.

I've been meaning to ask, are people still expecting him at the VGAs? Or is something else going on with that rumor now.

Honestly, the worst part of this cycle isn't going to be the droughts between September to now, or the later half of June to August.

I'm not sure who could be announced tomorrow that would genuinely excite me. I guess with the roster as is, especially the Castlevania stuff, I have more or less what I wanted.

I really doubt Dante will get in. The DMC series has never had a game on Nintendo and Dante isn't a highly requested character at all.

The DMC series may have yet to be on a Nintendo console as of yet, but he did made two appearances on Project X Zones 1 and 2 for the 3DS.

Well I'm being careful not to lump all of Team Real together but in the case that the leak turns out to be fake, it's still mostly people from that team that I'll be worried about. And I'm completely expecting the leak to be fake to. I may end up having to go hide out in the Nintenzone social for a day or two again.

That said, I personally want to try to be a good sport about this no matter what happens. If it's fake like I'll expect it to be, I'll be trying to discourage my fellow members of Team Fake from stirring up drama...although we're already the minority so I'm not sure if that'll mean much.

Unfortunately that's obviously going to happen, but personally I can perfectly understand people no matter which side they take on the Grinch leak, I feel like there's logic on both sides. It's not like with the Ridley shadow or some of the ESRB counterargument which are ridiculous in hindsight, I'll stick by that the proof both in favor and against the Grinch leak is strong enough that neither side will come off as stupid or gullible at the end of it.

I agree that there's logic on both sides, but people are still going to call the opposing team stupid in hindsight.

I hate being cynical but seeing all the drama the Grinch has caused already I'm not really confident in it getting much better. Especially after being a Dark Pit fan and Corrin supporter in Smash 4.

Whole thing reminds me of Krystal...was planned for brawl but then scrapped...omitted from Sm4sh(even tho everyone thought she was in because voice actress leak iirc, then was just a weird very specific gimmick, and now she’s an AT in a game where most of the cast is comprised of older highly demanded characters...sad.

Really stinks for the Isaac people out there...but who knows, he could be wrong. Every single theory/leak could be wrong.

Krystal was never planned for Brawl, she was just considered and got passed over for Wolf because he was significantly easier to make while a Star Fox newcomer wasn't a high priority inclusion. And the "voice actress leak" was for Brawl, while Krystal reprised the same role in Smash 4 that she had in Brawl of being in the Star Fox conversations. Compared to her prior appearances Krystal's role only got promoted in Ultimate when becoming an AT.

Oh, here's an unlikey but not-totally-crazy prediction: a downloadable demo is going to go live after the presentation is over. If I had to guess the characters as well, I'd say Mario/Link/Pikachu/Inkling/Ridley.

It would also give us something to distract us from all the salt if the Grinch leak turns out to be fake, which would be appreciated.

I don't see what's wrong with folding when you see evidence that seemingly disproves your belief, or going back to your old belief once that "evidence" is cleared up. No need to call anyone "cowards" like this is some sort of midieval war to be fought where everyone has some sort of honor to defend. Maybe the direct will start with a new franchises added to smash like the last direct with castlevania, I think they will keep that until the end with kingdom hearts or Devil May Cry but they could start with one of them.

This would probably be the only thing I'd be mildly bummed out by if its not announced in this direct if anything at this point. (Well that and an updated Stage builder with custom Break the Targets/Board the Platforms support)

I just want a demo or global test smash to be announced so I'd have that to look forward to during November while I wait for the full release... :T

See, unlike 99.9% of this entire fandom, I don't treat the characters in a Smash roster like they'll determine the outcome of the Presidental election.
I've said it before, but I will say it a thousand time, you all take Smash way too seriously for your own good.

Hey, if I get some of the various stuff I want(guides, booklets, etc. I still need all the material from the various games in the series)... sweet!

One thing I gotta keep working is a sprited Brian moveset. I got some of the work done, but I think I'm going to have a staff slamming down style animation for his Down Smashes. It seems to work just right. The actual staff is only about 2 pixels wide for the part he holds, which sometimes can clash. Maybe I should slightly recolor it...

Honestly I get the impression that Mystic is just not very confident in his information and got scared when someone predicted it. Not that I blame him for being scared at all, it must be terrifying to be at the center of attention during all this drama.

But I haven't been watching his tweets that closely, so I could be getting a totally wrong read on him.
