JJL - people are confused because what you are asking is such low level foxing. unreal had this down after his first practice session. Deathgazer knows the perfect distance + wavedash to make a little run inbetween. JC shine -> usmash. so fast.

But there is more chance of them teching the nair as opposed to the shine, meaning shine = chance to read what they're gonna do next.

I'm pretty sure shine-> upsmash doesn't work on characters that fall from shine unless they have momentum moving towards you, or you do towards them, so if you've just naired them it wouldn't work as they'd be moving away from you.

Yes yes on a shield I know it is possible, done it before. I was trying to do this without the opponent shielding and it acted as if the shine hit them away to quickly for the grab or the smash to connect. However I know if you run directly at someone and simply shine into jump-cancel grab or smash it works. For some reason the nair, bair or dair seem to negate the momentum as if fox cannot travel far enough to hit or grab. But i dunno if its actually impossible or if like its just me.

My question was for if there is no shield...or would the shine send them away to quickly?

Just in case people still don't get my question imagine:
your basic fox approach of shffl'd nair into shine, after the shine you jump-cancel into a grab/upsmash. In the scenario the opponent is not shielding, nair and shine connects. Will the grab or upsmash connect?

I think it's possible on most/all chars that don't fall over when shined, I know for sure it's possible on Sheik since prof's done it to me before and it's really gay lol.

Previous momentum doesn't affect the momentum of the next move to hit except in really odd circumstances.

I'm pretty sure those 'odd' circumstances are just when you're still in hitstun, which you would be after just being naired/b-thrown.

Jolteon I just tested a falco jumping and landing on a fox which does shine->grab and it doesn't connect. It might have an effect in combination with existing momentum though

Nah, because landed and aerial shines behave differently in this regard.

My fox has slightly increased it's tech skill, still need to step up a tiny bit tech skill wise (thats actually me being serious) until I actually have absolute full control of my character, it's just I don't practice that much by myself anymore....but my Fox has been doing some amazing stuff lately

BTW people i'm sorry I didnt get back on the date yday as thats when I said I was going to but I genuienly didn't get a call confirming the date, but I will def find out today because I want people to be prepared obviously as soon as for it so we get a good turnout out, there will prob be atleast 1 brawl setup for brawlers as there will be a good amount of TV's and plus im beast at brawl now lol

ANOTHER POTENTIAL BIG LONDON SMASHFEST

AC said he would be willing to do an EXTREMELY big smashfest at his house (He lives in Lewisham which is a stop on a DLR and also Overground) and he can get about 5/6 Tv's and also house overnight...
The only day I know he cannot do it on are Saturday's
which is universally the day that everyone usually claims to be free but people would have to make this one because it's gonna be ****

I don't really think there's much of a limit to this smashfest, he actually wants loads of people to come....Date to be confirmed soon obv....
