tbh reading TC's posts is more like reading poetry then reading something boring, though i do agree the overall content it dull. Smash bros is a game released on a console for amusement so 'fun' should be the primary aspect!

people who dont play certain stages because its biased are admitting they dont have fun playing every aspect of smash more then any other 'concern' therefore i say we bring items back!

Alex- there is a big difference between counterpick stages and banned stages. Couterpick stages offer advantages that are part of the game we play. Remember that counterpick stages are chosen first giving you the choice of character not to mention stage banning.

Yeah this stage bullshit has to stop now, it's been going on for too long and it's making the boards even more boring to read, this is what happens when I stop trashtalking...the boards become boring and people result to talking about repititive things in huge bulk.

ANOTHER POTENTIAL BIG LONDON SMASHFEST

AC said he would be willing to do an EXTREMELY big smashfest at his house (He lives in Lewisham which is a stop on a DLR and also Overground) and he can get about 5/6 Tv's and also house overnight...
The only day I know he cannot do it on are Saturday's
which is universally the day that everyone usually claims to be free but people would have to make this one because it's gonna be ****

I don't really think there's much of a limit to this smashfest, he actually wants loads of people to come....Date to be confirmed soon obv....

Soz, I don't jump on whatever the newest slang terminolgies are and start saying things like 'He got par'd/That's a par' just because everyone is saying it, I keep my slang basic and actually showing some relativity to the word itself, instead of some new dumb definition

I think it is but you would have to hold down slightly earlier because your running I think. A few foxes can do that already like prof and crabman. They run- shine upsmash to punish missed techs

Well it's the same thing I've seen numerous times when people nair a shield and then shine grab. If you wanted I guess you could upsmash.

@BB yes doing it while running alone is easy, but adding ariel before seems to change it.

@Unreal - yeah i know doing it on a shield is easy cos they arent moving like, try it when they arent shielding its like you dont have the momentum to get the upsmash or the grab when I try it, or im too slow.

If you're talking about doing an aerial into a jc'ed shine-grab then yes it's definitely possible and very useful because once the aerial hits their shield it's a free grab basically.

Aerial into jc'ed shine-usmash isn't something I've tried personally but I don't see why it wouldn't be possible.

Yes yes on a shield I know it is possible, done it before. I was trying to do this without the opponent shielding and it acted as if the shine hit them away to quickly for the grab or the smash to connect. However I know if you run directly at someone and simply shine into jump-cancel grab or smash it works. For some reason the nair, bair or dair seem to negate the momentum as if fox cannot travel far enough to hit or grab. But i dunno if its actually impossible or if like its just me.

My question was for if there is no shield...or would the shine send them away to quickly?

Just in case people still don't get my question imagine:
your basic fox approach of shffl'd nair into shine, after the shine you jump-cancel into a grab/upsmash. In the scenario the opponent is not shielding, nair and shine connects. Will the grab or upsmash connect?

Maybe it needs to be done faster, that could be so abusable if it could be done consistently.

I don't think there's enough momentum to perform an usmash without the opponent getting away thanks to the shine. I think it's really character dependant, I can imagine characters like peach it may work on. Although I'd never piss around like that against peach lol

If you hit them with the nair, don't shine at all; just go for the grab or usmash (or nair again if they're on mid %)
