yeah thats all great and all prof, but for ike (whom i main) vs. falco, the only thing i can compare it to in melee is taking falco, pitting him against bowser and allowing falco to fire double the amount of lasers
not fun

it's not really comparable cause falco's melee lasers are so much better <_<

theyre better?
theres less of them and they dont travel as fast...HOW? particularly seeing as melee is faster than brawl

you can fast fall them... more mobility after firing... more shield stun... more stun (loads of true combos without silent lasering), all much more important than firing an extra laser at a sub-optimal height.

fine then
although everythnig has more stun in melee so thats a moot point.
also i notived you just added 'more shield stun' fair enough
the extra laser in brawl makes jumping over the lasers a bit harder for those with tiny jumps...oh look theres ike XD

besides, kieths better than me anyway :p

yeah fair point that everything has more stun in melee, it's just significant when comparing laser games, melee falco has way more options out of laser because of stun and the mobility difference.

That intro actually partially different lol

Pretty sure something is different at 4:48 with the DK bit and Sheik throwing needles and im 100% sure that the link bit is different since he always does his gay Up-B into the lens like a fool

Maybe.

The game itself seems slightly different, too (look at Falcon's dthrow).

I trust Nintendo to do this new controller thing well, they usually deliver. The way they presented WiiU was very confusing though - all the focus was on the controller which was shown being used with original Wii controllers and apparel, with no mention of the new console itself at all. Some uninformed people now think it's just a new controller for the Wii rather than a brand new console. Also Nintendo really need to announce some top quality games that will ship with he WiiU asap, or the hype will die down. And some specs of the console itself would be nice.

Smash on the 3DS would be kinda cool, as long as it's more competitive than it's predecessor (it'll never match Melee obv).

as the interview said, the idea behind smash on 3ds and WiiU is that its basically a single player game on 3ds where you unlock costumes and customisable stuff to then be used on the wiiu version. which is the multiplayer game
sounds like a good idea. but it means ill be spending a lot of money

I haven't seen that interview but I'd much prefer being able to play multiplayer on the go with wifi rather than just a single player game :(

Is that thing on the top right of the 3ds an analogue stick of sorts? If so pretty cool. And yeah if it's just a single player, I def won't be investing in a 3ds unless it's dirt cheap by that time.

"Regarding planners, Sakurai noted that he's headed up all areas of game balance and character strength settings for past Smash Bros. This time, he's hoping to leave this area to the staff."

LOL. Because you're ****ing useless at it

Probably not too much for an average man :)

Interesting read, I'm not sold on the building up your own characters and pitting them up against eachover on the wiiu, that's not competitively viable in my head so hope there's a good alternative.

Just read it :p I liked this: "Sakurai noted that as the Wii U is an HD system, this version could offer 60
frames per second visuals, high quality graphics, dynamic effects, and smooth character movements."

Professor Pro - I was thinking about it....and we REALLY should have a facebook group for the London Monthlies just stating when the next Melee + Brawl tournaments are on...it would get ALOT more attention that way since a lot of people dont come on here but the majority of people are on facebook...

And loads of people would find out about it that way and it would be to direct new people to it by just saying the facebook group rather then saying go on smashboards and follow these directions

And if everyone joins it then it should be good.

So yeah, I might start one up with the OK from Fuzzy since it's really his monthly

Unreal: But nothing about the gameplay lol :)

Prof: Sounds like a good idea, dunno why fuzzy would be against you doing something to boost his attendances but yeah, would be good.

We got this thread to 1000 posts :)

I wish this related to skill:

i think the idea is how they do customisation in tekken, where you have the set characters and you just bugger about with costumes. i reckon to avoid stuff like the green team costume being red, theyll probably limit the colours of costumes on team characters or something
