Smash FU struggles

Connecting to Smash FU isn't working for me lately. Joining the server either immediately crashes my client or lets me in to a non-functioning version of the server. I've got no problems connecting to any other server, and I've played on FU dozens of times in the past.

Anyone else have these problems or know the solution (or explanation)?

Things I've tried: Reinstalling client, installing new client, playing on ethernet and wifi, playing on a different laptop, ping spoofing, different connections, joining other servers first, changing my name/leave message, pretty much anything I could think of that might affect it. None of these methods seem to fix it.

The server worked briefly and I played some games, so I don't think I'm banned, but then it went back to not working.

looks like it happens when the server is fairly populated. Still don't know why though.

I thought it was pretty dead too, but then I finally sucked it up and went to smash fu and it has plenty of people.

lol I wouldn't pay any attention to him. Seems like he got banned and probably for good reasons.

he asked to be banned because he quit playing smash, and didn't want to have a working account on the boards anymore.

still have it on my ordinary internet connection. Only works on a different connection now.
