Announcement Smash Forge for Stage Editing

Hey, for those of you who want to edit stage data but don't want to spend a ton of time hex editing and testing, Ploaj and I added some features to Smash Forge (an editor primarily for editing Smash 4 file types, but now has Melee stuff now)

What it can do currently as far as melee goes:
  • View and export models
  • View and export character animations
  • View, edit and save level data
  • Convert level data to .lvd (Smash 4 Level data filetype)
Main reason I'm making this post is to let you guys know that you can use it to edit level data now.

So what can you edit with this?
  • Spawns
  • Respawns
  • Blast zones
  • Camera bounds
  • Item spawn points
  • Collisions
  • Targets (Soon-ish)
It's a bit buggy atm, so bear with me as I sort out issues.

Can i edit the physical stage with? like make the platform on great bay longer?

Apparently Smash Forge broke in some update, because i can run a older version (That unfortunately doesn't load stages correctly) yet the latest version always throws up this message:

Despite the fact that this laptop does have OpenGL 3.0, and not even using Mesa3D (a Software Render wrapper for OpenGL 4.0 and lower applications) makes it work, i'm stumped as to why it doesn't work.
