From the Smash EDC Community, we bring you Smash EDC #15! We are hosting at The Game Room Adventure Cafe in El Dorado Hills Town Center. We will be running Smash 4 singles and doubles.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

No outside food or drink allowed in the cafe. Water however is fine.

If you can, please bring a setup. We only have 1-3 setups confirmed for every week, so any extras are welcome! Just make sure that it is a full setup if possible (all characters/stages, all DLC, version 1.1.7, console, monitor, and GC adapter).

Tourney Info
------------------

Location: The Game Room Adventure Cafe (2085 Vine St #106, El Dorado Hills, CA 95762)

If you have any trouble finding the venue: When you enter Town Center, head straight for the Regal Cinemas at the end of the street and turn right. The venue will be in the parking lot on the left. If you enter from the Regal Cinemas side of Town Center, the venue is below the parking lot to the right of the theater.

BYOC (Bring Your Own Controller)
- The only controller you cannot use is a Wii U gamepad. Any controller issues (dead battery, malfunctions, etc) that occur will not change the outcome of a match.
- If your controller is found to be the cause of disruption in a tournament (mid-game or otherwise), you are subject to disqualification. To avoid this, remember to turn off / de-sync / unplug your controller after finishing a set.

Schedule
-------------

The EDC Smash Community handles the scheduling a bit differently from other locals. Instead of signups only lasting a set amount of time before the first event starts, we run signups for each event individually. This means you do not have to be here before our first event, Sm4sh Doubles, starts. You can arrive as late as 2:20 and still be able to enter Sm4sh singles.
We don't want our players to arrive at noon just for Sm4sh singles and end up waiting 2 hours to play, unless they want to spectate or play friendlies. We do ask that people bringing setups arrive as early as they can, though.

With that out of the way, here is the schedule:

- Signups/friendlies start at 11 AM
- Sm4sh doubles signups end at 12:30 PM
- Sm4sh singles signups end at 1:30 PM

A max of 10 teams can sign up for Doubles.

Pricing and Payouts
-------------------------

- $2 Venue Fee (includes 1 free soft drink, candy bar, or cookie)
- Sm4sh Singles: $5
- Sm4sh Doubles: $3 per player

Cash payouts are:
1st place: 60% of cash pot
2nd place: 30% of cash pot
3rd place: 10% of cash pot

If there are 8 players or less, then the pot is split 75% for first and 25% for second. We will notify everyone participating if this ends up being the case.

For Doubles, if there are 10 teams signed up then the pot is split 60/30/10. If there are less than 10 teams, then the pot is split 75/25.

Ruleset
-----------
- Double Elimination
- Singles: 2 stocks, 6 minutes
- Doubles: 3 stocks, 8 minutes
- Sets are best 2 of 3. Winners/Losers/Grand finals are best 3 of 5
- Custom moves/amiibo are NOT allowed.
- Mii Fighters are allowed (any moveset combination)
- If a game goes to Sudden Death, the winner is determined by stock/percent lead. If this cannot determine a winner, then a 1 stock 3 minute tiebreaker game will take place on the same stage with the same characters.

- Either player can elect to do a Double Blind Character Selection
- If you are tardy 5 minutes after being called to a setup, you will be disqualified from the tournament.
- Pausing mid-match will result in the loss of a stock for the player who initiated the pause.
- Coaching is not allowed during a set.

Stages
----------
Starters:
Battlefield*
Final Destination/Omega Stages**
Town and City
Smashville
Lylat Cruise

Counterpick:
Dreamland 64*

* Treated as Battlefield. If Battlefield is banned, Dream Land 64 is also banned and vice-versa.
** Banning Final Destination bans all Omega stages and vice-versa.

- For the first match in a set, the player that bans a stage first is decided by a game of Rock-Paper-Scissors. Winner bans 1 starter, loser bans 2 starters, followed by winner banning 1 starter until there is one stage left.
- Winner of game 1 then bans a stage from the starter/counterpick stages. Loser chooses from the remaining stages. All games after game 1 will follow this banning procedure.
- Players can play on any LEGAL stage if both agree to it.
- You cannot ban or choose a stage you've already won on in a set.
