Over on Gamefaqs, these sorts of contests are pretty popular, but I don't believe they've ever been done on Smashboards (the closest is MYM, I guess, but even that's pretty different). I figured it's about time one of the only good things from that site comes here!
Once we start, I'll announce the first round and what all will be in it. There will be a baseline that is required (ex. overhaul two veterans and create a stage), and there will be an extra challenge that will award extra points if succeeded (ex. everything you add starts with the same letter). The round will be open for anywhere from a week to a month (depending on how much I'm asking of you), and once the time is up we move to the next round. While you work on that, the judges and I will grade everyone's work and crown a winner for the round.
I'm only going to make one rule when it comes to content - nothing excessively long. I'm not gonna put a hard cap, but I'd suggest a moveset not be more than 2.5k words, which shouldn't be much trouble to the average person. No disrespect to MYM, but movesets over there are ridiculously large - I'm trying to make this a bit more approachable.
Anyways, I'm posting this a bit early to gauge interest and for sign ups (if we're doing sign ups, I'm not even sure if that's what I'll end up going with). If you're interested, post a comment to let me know. Especially let me know if you'd be interested in being a judge, I'm looking for three including myself. Do note that judges aren't allowed to be competitors at the same time.
