Smash Bros x Jump Stars

So, a while ago on the forums someone floated the idea of a Super Smash Bros vs. Shonen Jump game. I decided to take the idea and run with it, and I built a roster. Granted, I'm not a Shonen Jump fan, so it was built entirely by researching the franchises. Thought I'd post it here and see what people think.

On the Smash Bros side we have... (i assume that on here I don't need to say where they are from)

What we also need is pre-battle and post-battle dialogue like Marvel vs. Capcom.

For example.

Bakugou (Pre-fight): H-How can you even fight in such ridiculous shape!? You're an even bigger joke than Deku!!!! - To Blackbeard, King Dedede, King K. Rool and Wario
Bakugou (Post-fight): Do yourself a favor fatso by trying to lose all that weight, then maybe people like me will start taking you more seriously in a fight! - To Blackbeard, King Dedede, King K. Rool and Wario

As well as rivalries such as Blackbeard (One Piece) and King K. Rool (Donkey Kong) since they're evil captains and leaders of pirates and despite looking fat are relatively very strong.

I mean. Cool. But I don’t know Shonen enough to write it.

I also imagined it to have some sort of tag team mechanic. Where your partner is always standing in the background ala Pokémon Trainer and you can either have them do an assist attack or switch to them.

Might switch out another lesser character for Blackbeard. But I can’t do rivalries very affectively either because I don’t know the Shonen characters well enough and their specific backstories are hard to follow for newcomers.

Don't forget Asta from Black Clover :v If you are interested to add some new age characters to use...

Also, for market purpose, maybe you could change Orochimaru to Madara...

As for females, I would suggest... Well, almost none, since the ones in my head about female popular Shounen Jump characters are... Fan-service characters, one of them is an OP "Goddess" which could learn almost anything, one of them is a pink long haired woman with a devil tail which we think as an alien, a white haired ghost in a certain hot springs, and the last one is a pirate queen which fell in love with the MC of One Piece... (These three are for you guys to guess, they are popular enough in Shounen Jump World, and one of them is asked to be in the Jump Force(But, the hype and percentage is lowered compared to few old videos)...)

Maybe, the Tsundere Queen of Shounen Jump will do (I'm refering to Chitoge from Nisekoi for the Tsundere Queen)...

Oh, for more classical, add Kenshin, Shishio, and Hajime :v That would spice up the fight...

Add Todoroki and Shigaraki as DLC would be much interesting, but not with Todoroki's girlfriend...

That would be a key reason to get the game if he was in. Can imagine him teaming up with Wario to get heaps of cash, but hoping something plays into making him the only one getting the reward.
Also, Spring Man would have to be base, I think, just so Luffy can laugh and talk to him, asking how someone else could get such an ability when he'd already eaten the Gum-Gum Fruit.
Saitama wouldn't happen.
Another JoJo would be great, too. Josuke, Giorno or Jolyne would all work very well. Give Josuke a Wario-esque side special.

I like all of the character suggestions. But we’re runing into the problem of the game already having 72 characters from the roster i’ve created. You start adding too many more and then it’s way to big. You could maybe get away with another 12 for a total of 84, but then that’s only 6 more on each side. For the people throwing down suggestions, who would you suggest I drop from the Shonen side

Everyone in the DLC, I think Saiki's died in popularity. Toriko's a dead series, and All Might I don't think is a character most fans are itching to play as (although I like him more than Kacchan). Majin Buu can go too. I'll come back to look at more later, it's way too late now though, gotta get some sleep.

Such a cool idea. Not enough Hunter X Hunter on your list to satisfy me though. I've imagined a platform fighting game with characters from HxH for a long time. I yearn to four-stock someone with the power of both rubber and gum.

Honestly, I just can't fathom this idea. I have played hours of Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 on my Xbox 1 with my little brӧther, and I can tell you it's not a good fighting game. Knowing Konami, they'll just incorporate their terrible functions from Jump Force into Smash if this ever happened. Not to mention you're asking to delete over half of the current roster and replace them with anime characters, which:
A: People in the west have seen enough proliferation of anime characters in video games lately
B: Sakurai himself has said anime/manga characters will not be in Smash
C: A crossover this big is going to require a ton of paperwork.

Now if this was a normal Smash game, I'd be against it completely. If this was its own crossover game, I wouldn't be against it (but I wouldn't be for it either).

BTW the picture in the spoiler was literally the first thing in my mind when I saw this and doesn't reflect my real feelings, I just felt like throwing a meme here.

It would be it’s own crossover game. With its own extra unique mechanics. I can understand if you aren’t for it though. Everybody has different opinions and no one game can please EVERYBODY.

And where are you getting the Konami thing from? Jump Force is a Bamco game. Most Shonen Jump projects happen through Bandai Namco. Who helped develop Snash4. And Shonen Jump properties are owned by a company called Kabushiki Kaisha Shueisha.
