Smash Bros Demo Wii Channel

I'm sure there will be different views about this. I've seen many gameplay videos of Brawl and most of them use a demo version of the game with the 2 minute timed game.

I would love to see Nintendo make a downloadable channel which allows you to play this demo version. Similar to the Metroid Preview Channel but much better. They've given out demos on the DS, so I don't see why they don't do it for the Wii.

I'm a really impatient person so I want to play something, however small it is now!

What do you guys think?

Well, there is an " Everyone's Nintendo Channel", currently released in just Japan, which has trailers and DS demos on it at the moment. I can see that channel carrying a SSBB demo - but they'd need to release the channel soon, as SSBB (for Japan and North America, at least >_>) will be released soon.

Oh OK, I hadn't heard of that! I think that the channel should have beta tests of games as well, similar to how movies have test screenings and the audience give their feedback. You never know, it could help make some games better, for example Red Steel.

Now that'd be interesting - these tests usually work out well for both the game developers and the players.

I wish we could get a demo channel...but alas, we won't...

I believe the only reason they did it for for Metroid was to create create hype for a game that wasn't hyped for at all. Smash has PLENTY of hype. No need to build more...

id only expect nintendo to put up a channel with trailers and videos... and i really think they will do that.

If there was going to be one it would have been released earlier but now it is to close to the japanese release date so I dont think that there will be one.

The only one that might get one is Europe and Australia because we still dont know when there release date is.

It wouldn't do much good to release a demo for a game that's about to come out, as others have said, but I think we can definitely expect a trailer or something else.

the game is a couple months away, you impatient fiend. no point in a demo this late, just get guitar hero or something and eat tubs of ice cream

I wish they did have a demo, but sadly they don't. If only Wii's online was half of XBL, then we'd have demos of nearly every game.

i think that it won't happen. it's almost the release date in japan with a month for americans. with them trying to appeal to the new gamer it might've been a good idea a while ago but dude it's still not gonna happen

This has been dicussed countless times but I have asked questions about a playable demo for brawl on Everybody nintendo channel but none of my questions were answered while surfing the internet. But then again the supense of waiting for Brawl is coming to an end. Lets be patient.

i can barely wait for brawl like im turning insane lmao. but a donwlaodable demo or even one that you pay 200-500 wii poits would be acceptable

Un-possible at the moment. Not only is it useless with the game coming out so soon, but also the Wii doesn't have enough memory to hold it. Don't get me wrong, I'd love a downloadable demo, it just won't be happening. At least not for Brawl.

Man, I always sound like a pessimist when I post...

Unfortunately, I think everyone will have to be prepared to be disappointed.

The Everyone's Nintendo Channel already has Smash promotional material prominently featured there (Page one of the channel and it's also featured in the channel's startup stream as the first item) - and it's just the Two E3 Trailers + The major Dojo trailer for one stream and the other stream is the two Dojo Subspace Movies.

Anyone expecting a demo will be sorely disappointed.

I just hope Smash64 is released on VC earlier than the week before. That seems kinda pointless.

I tried to save Wii points for it, but I was doing things, and, next morning, I woke up playing Kid Icarus!?!

Lol, anyways, I only rented it once when I was younger (don't hurt me: still a HUGE fan)

Kid Icarus is nice, by the way.

I think it's coming on Monday...I'm assuming like the MP3 Channel, it will be free. Not to mention, it seems VERY legit due to the fact that the game data looks to take up a lot of memory.

Also, isn't 1080 Snowboarding coming to VC next week? If so, Monday will be BLISS.
