dreamhack.png
DreamHack, the World’s Largest Digital Festival is returning to America, and it’s bringing Smash with it. This will be the 2nd of a series of Dreamhack tournaments taken place on US soil. At DH Atlanta, both Super Smash Bros. Melee and Super Smash Bros. for Wii U will be featured alongside other fighting games such as Pokken Tournament, Injustice 2 and Street Fighter V.

After winning Dreamhack Austin, Juan “Hungrybox” Debiedma returns to try and win the Melee tournament. Other players will be joining him too, such as Jason “Mew2king” Zimmerman, Justin “Plup” McGrath, Zach “SFAT” Cordoni and even recently sponsored and last event finalist Daniel “Chudat” Rodríguez.

Things get pretty stacked in the Smash 4 side of things, as 8 of the current top 10 in the PGR are confirmed to attend. Gonzalo “ZeRo” Barrios, Leonardo “MkLeo” López Pérez, Elliot “Ally” Carroza-Oyarce, Nairoby “Nairo” Quesada, Samuel “Dabuz” Buzby and even EVO 2017 Champion Saleem “Salem” Akiel Young will be participating.

Both tournament will be streamed on the official DreamHackSmash channel, with popular streaming team VGBootCamp streaming the pools matches for the Wii U side. Pools for both games will take place on Saturday, while finals will be streamed on Sunday.
