Ehhh not the best approach. It's an ok mixup on certain matchups. I think it's best for tech-chasing. And of course Aquajet is a bee's knees.

Helps with recovery too, if you're way far out you can side b (just make sure to pop out before you die), gives Squirt a bit more horizontal longevity. (You can also use it if you've been knocked vertically as an occasional mixup).

It's also one of your riskier ledge options (ledgehop side b) - you get a bit of armor and a fast moving hitbox that almost guarantees another aerial & possibly a longer string, but it's super predictable and punishable, since you have zero good options out of a missed side b. Just use it once in a blue moon for surprises, and don't rely on it, ever.

also, upthrow > aquajet is a thing <3

Maybe not the greatest idea, especially since I'm new, but I like to use it to escape from combos or tight situations. Can really mess people up. Really dislike it as an approach option honestly, really predictable and easy to crouch cancel too. Great for tech chases though, and as has already been mentioned, <3 Aqua Jet.

You can waveland out of a side-B hit nomatter what, it's awesome everyone should do it. The mixups are unstoppable.
