Shine Online Registration Ends Tonight!

Shine 2016 is about to close up shop for registrations. If you're keen to go to the Boston-based event on August 26 - 28, now is your last chance to do so.

Organized by Big Blue eSports, Shine is New England's first premiere event as well as one of the first semi-crowdfunded Smash events. As of this article's publication, 1595 entrants have already registered to compete.

Here's the full registration breakdown:
  • Super Smash Bros. - 108
  • Super Smash Bros. Melee - 978
  • Super Smash Bros. for Wii U - 474
  • Pokken Tournament - 36
From this number are multiple talents from across the country, aside from New England's staple of top players. This includes 23 of Melee it On Me's top 50 and a number of Panda Global Rank's top 50.

According to its organizers, Shine isn't just going to be tournament, but an experience. Crew battles, a crowd-favorite side-event, will be making an appearance alongside a new side-event made by the organizers: Lane Shift.

Registration ends 11:59 PM Pacific Daylight Time. You can check the registration page out on Smashgg.
