Sheik/Falco Team Doubles

Hey,

I main Falco and my friend mains Sheik and we often are a team for doubles. We are going to be entering a local tournament and I wanted to know if this is a good pairing and if anyone had advice for team maneuvers between these two characters

Also, are there are any videos of pro matches with a Falco/Sheik team?

I don't know if this response is too late, but from everything I've read about (and haven't seen), falco is not popularly used in teams due to his lack of recovery.

Sheik, on the other hand is considered very good for teams. I suggest learning to play fox for teams to complement his sheik.

It's not a great team, but it's not bad. The problem with teams falco is that he can't use his lasers as freely as he'd like because they're likely to get in the way of his teammate. Still, they're great for saving on offstage teammate, and falco's still an excellent offensive character. You're gonna want your sheik to be the more defensive of the two and preserve stocks/bail falco out of trouble, while falco is the heavy hitter of the group.

It's a pretty good team imo. Falco works as a fantastic aggressor and Sheik works as a great finisher. Falco is really underrated in doubles.

However, both have subpar recoveries and neither help each others recoveries much (unlike, say, Falco-Falcon in which Falco greatly helps Falcon's recovery). I also don't think they have much ledge synergy, which is pretty important for Sheik teammates (and which would be help show why Puff and Peach work so well with her.)
